The Seven Mysteries (1)

After Alexy had completed all his daily commissions, he entered the system. Upon talking with Katheryne, his AR raised to 6, his primogems increased to 310, and his total Mora was more than 30,000.

When Alexy turned around, he saw young boy with blue hair about his age looking at him.

"You are Chongyun, right?"

"Yes, I am Chongyun. I heard you need my assistance." Chongyun said.

"Ah yes, it's these..."

Alexy proceeded to tell Chongyun all the stories about the Seven Mysteries he had heard during the day.

"A statue and a figurine that walk and know how to harm people...a stairs moves against people's will...a black ghost in the toilet...a music instrument that can play by itself...the person in the portrait came out and tried to pull people inside...and a ghost that is full of unpleasant smell...hmm...these are definitely evil spirit's works...let's go exorcise them!"

(Hmmm...this guy seems calm...but why do I sense excitement when he said 'exorcise'?) Alexy thought.

<<Chongyun is summoned>>

"Let's go in!" said Chongyun.

"Wait, there are guards here. We can't go in so boldly. We can't say we're here to exorcise because this is a country where believing in ghost is condemned and religious belief is frown upon." said Alexy.

"Ah...sorry, I was too hasty." Chongyun said.

<<Paimon is summoned>>

"What did you summon Paimon for? Paimon is scared of ghost, you know!"

"Don't worry, Paimon, I'm not telling you to do something dangerous." said Alexy. "However, if you do this well, I promise I give you more delicious food."

"REALLY!" Paimon showed her excitement for food. "What do you need me to do?"

"Nothing much...I need you to become the Eighth Mystery of my school."

"Huh"

After the incident with the Seven Mysteries, most of the guards decided to stay in the guards' room, while some, like Kirby, had to go to the hospital, due to physical and mental problems suffered after encountering the evil spirits. They was scared of encountering the Seven Mysteries, so they only stayed in the room and watched the security cameras.

"Don't worry...ghosts like the Seven Mysteries won't leave their specific areas, they are bound there, so we're safe here." said one of the guard, who had become the leader interim of the guards after Uncle Chen had to go to the hospital because he suffered a heart attack after the supernatural incident.

"Hmmm...I think you're right!" said another guard.

"If it's the truth, then what is that?" one of the guards asked and pointed at the window. Outside the window, inside a dark bush, there were two eyes looking at them, and those two eyes were lit up with a weird light inside the bush.

"Woo...woo...woo..." Paimon said.

"AIEEEEEEE"

All of the guards were scared and they hid themselves under the tables and chairs.

"It's still looking at us!" one of the guards who was brave enough to come out of his hiding place to check said as soon as he came back to under the table.

"Please, please, spare us!" one of the guards said as tears were coming out of his eyes.

"Woo...woo...woo...you think you deserve to be spared? MUAHAHAHAHA..."

"*sob*...*sob*..." many of the guards began to cry too.

(Weaklings!) Paimon thought.

Meanwhile, Alexy and Chongyun got themselves inside the school. They went to the Biology room first.

"The evil spirit here...had fled away...as expected." Chongyun said, with a slight hint of disappointment in his tone.

"As expected?"

"Well, the thing is I have a rare body constitution, a pure Yang spirit, which emits excessive Yang...I mean...positive energy, which scares ghost away."

"Wait, are you saying that you have never encountered any evil spirit before and have no real exorcise experience?!!!"

"Yeah!"

"...", Alexy was speechless.

Alexy and Chongyun went out of the Biology room, their faces both looked disappointed.

"We should keep investigating other places. According to what I heard, evil spirits, like the Seven Mysteries, don't leave the school ground." said Alexy.

"REALLY?"

"Why are you so excited?"

"Ah, sorry. I should not be like that. Excitement is not good for a person who has pure Yang spirit like me." said Chongyun. "It's just in my place, our schools were not like schools in your place, Seven Mysteries and the large buildings with so many rooms and all other things, so I didn't know if evil spirits in a school were any different than other evil spirits."

"I see." said Alexy. "Hmmm, the WC with the black ghost is just downstairs, let's go." Alexy continued while he stepped on the first stair on the stairs to go down.

"Wait, Alexy, the stairs..."

Before Chongyun could finish his word, the stairs began to move down like an escalator, fast and violently, which makes Alexy fell downstairs.

"Argh!" Alexy screamed when he fell downstairs.

Before Chongyun could do anything to help Alexy, a black shadow from the WC nearby dashed out and attack Alexy. The black ghost tried to strangle him.

Chongyun raised his two fingers of his right hand up and entered into a thaumaturgical pose, prepares to use thaumaturgy to exorcise the black ghost who was trying to strangle Alexy.

However, before he could do any damage to the black ghost, a human figure appeared behind him and attacked. It wounded Chongyun on his back and then pushed him, making him fall downstairs. It then jumped downstairs and landed on top of the blue-haired exorcist, then it tried to strangle him just like what the black ghost was doing with Alexy.

(What! They're not scared of my pure Yang spirit?) Chongyun thought, conpletely surprised.

<<Noelle is summoned>>

Noelle appeared beside Alexy, she then took out her 4* Claymore, Favonius Greatsword, and struck the human figure that was trying to kill Chongyun, making it slammed to the wall.

Chongyun immediately got back on his feet and got into thaumaturgical stance again. A Yin-Yang symbol appeared in the middle of the air, making the black ghost horrified, it released Alexy's throat and ran away.

"It escaped!" Chongyun said, anyone could feel the frustration in his tone.

Chongyun turned around and looked at the stairs.

"This one escaped too!" he said.

"Oh no, that human figure too!" Noelle said when she looked at where the human figure slammed into, before turned back to Alexy and began nursing him.

"I think I'm fine now. Thanks, Noelle!" said Alexy. "Ummm, where did you get that sword? I remember last time, you use the brown sword."

"Ah, this one is a Favonius Greatsword, a 4* weapon. Wagner created it for me not long ago."

"Ooo!" Alexy looked at the claymore carefully with awe, and Noelle happily showed him her claymore.

"Wait," Alexy turned to Chongyun when he realized something. "Didn't you say your pure Yang constitution would scare the evil spirits away? Why did those guys attack us so boldly?"

"That would usually be the case, however, this time, I fear that the evil spirits in this school are so strong that they don't fear my Yang energy." said Chongyun.
