A bundle of sadness.....
(In the hospital room,David looked at Maylie he had tears in his eyes he was about to cry.he came near Maylie's bed and held her hand,his own hands were shivering.)
Maylie : what happened? is there is something serious?
David : he down his eyes and shook his head.
Maylie : OK calm down,and look up why are you looking down?
"David looked up his face expressions were sad and his eyes didn't held the water in them anymore.He started crying with tears"
Maylie : David...daviddddd are you okay??
David : didn't responded (still crying)
*Maylie hugged him,his head was on her shoulder*
Maylie : tell me please.
David : th..the do..doctor,the doctor said that you're suffering from cancer.....
Maylie : cancer?
David : yes cancer.
Maylie : so why are you crying I'll be alright there would must be some kind of treatment of it,don't worry.
David : (held her waist more strongly) at this stage no...no treatment can cure you.
Maylie : this stage, tell me clearly please.
David : "you wanna know so listen the truth is that you're suffering from this cancer from last more than 4 years you're on last stage,and there is no treatment for it now."
*deep silence*
(she started crying,he tried to make her calm)
Maylie : how much time is left...
David : 4 to 5 month's.
Maylie : huh..(she cleaned her face with a tissue and said) at least we can celebrate our 9th anniversary together,and Davids birthday too.
David : I won't let you go anywhere.
Maylie : may be it's my destiny.
(David hugged her back and they both sat silently nobody said a single word for approximately 10 to 15 minutes)
*door knocked*
"sir your mom already left and your documents are ready you may leave now,he stood up and said let's go back to home they both left the hospital,after reaching home."
David : Now you have to take rest come on go to bed and take rest,I'll be there.
Lara : welcome back.
Maylie : thank you Lara,where is harry?
Lara : he just fell asleep.
Maylie : okay.bring some food for me I'm starving.
Lara : yeah sure,just wait for 10 minutes.let me ready the table.
David : there is no need to ready the table just bring food for us in our room please.
Lara : okay sir as you wish.
David : where's mom?
Lara : sir she's in her room,may be sleeping.
David : okay.
(they both went to there room Maylie laid down on the bed.Lara came after 10 minutes with the food tray and knocked the door,David opened the door she came inside served the food she was going back David stopped her as she was leaving he stopped her and requested her to take care of Harry for tonight she agreed and left the room,they both had there dinner and fell asleep)
It was almost the daily routine of them Maylie spent most of her time with harry and Miss Dora.David always try to make her happy and relaxed.He usually spent his free time with her.Miss Dora treated her as a princess because she had no daughter but she always treat Maylie as her own daughter.Miss Dora was deeply in pain because of Maylie.but she always make her happy.Lara was also like a family member.Time flies away so fast as it was passing all of them were more heart broken.It was 15th of the month.And as doctor said she can only survive 4 to 5 months it was the start of the 4th month.It was the month of Harry's birthday and her anniversary ,she was suffering the fear of being dead soon and the pain of her disease too.But as always she tried to make herself calm because everybody was in hope because of her.Next morning on the breakfast table ....
Maylie : There no time left for harry's birthday it's already 16th today and harry's birthday is in 5 days.what about the party plans.I want that his birthday will be super fun.after all it is his first birthday.
David : yeah sure you're right you guys make some plan.
Miss Dora : ahah...why not after all its our baby's first birthday.
David : then let's start the preparations.
"Everyone started preparation for the birthday,finally it was harry's birthday,in morning David woke up and looked that his bed was empty he stood up and check in the backyard Maylie and harry both were in the backyard harry was in his mother's lap he had great attachment with her.David came close to them and heard Maylie was whispering something."
Maylie : my baby I'm sorry I have to leave you alone.but I know your Grandma and
your dad will take good care of you my love(cried).I'm sorry.I'm with you on your birthday for the first and the last time.It's your birthday and I really wish that you'll grow up as a gentle man just like your dad.Happy birthday.
David : (his eyes were full of tears he left the yard and went back to his room as Maylie came back from the yard she opened the door David hugged her tightly he was crying.Maylie was also in pain they both were heart broken)
"Stop crying you fool its our baby's birthday we have to celebrate it with a happy face", she said.He didn't said anything just held her more strongly.
(At night all of the guest were in the house the party began all of them were enjoying the party after cutting the cake they had there dinner and Maylie gave a gift to harry it was a locket in which there was a photograph of her his dad and harry.she putted that locket in his neck,and that's how harry's first birthday party ended.Maylie and David they both went to the room with harry.she was carrying harry David was looking at her.)
Maylie : look David you have to take care of him because I want him to be like you,a gentle man.
David : sure,my love.I'll tell him that how pretty his mom was,how she took care of me,how bravely she bear the pain which, life gave her,
How strong she was.
*a painful smile on both of their faces*
Maylie : I want him to be a copy of you. A good hearted,well behaved,kind and honest gentle man.
(David kissed harry and then her forehead)
