5 A Loophole?

After some time of thinking, I decided to try breaking the rule so I was about to say a sentence that wasn't in the options, but like I thought It would happen. I couldn't even move my lips. I couldn't form a single word. It was similar to your lips being glued by super glue.

It wasn't all that your throat feels like something was stuck inside, with this for sure he only could say the sentence that was in the options, and of course, I even tried mixing the sentence between options and It didn't work.

There was not a single loophole that I could use, so It was time for me to pick either of the 3 options but I wanted to try the last one, just a note I thought of this in a full minute. I don't have a fast-thinking mind and at this point, Kaoru would say something, since I stayed silent.

"Junichi, you okay? You stayed silent for a minute now."

Kaoru asked with concern.

Suddenly a change happened!

[ A: Shut up bitch! I'm thinking! ]

[ B: Nothing Is wrong, just remembered something.]

[ C: Oh sorry, you're just too beautiful that I couldn't help but stare at you. ]

Alright! Nailed it! I found a loophole!

Okay now that there is a loophole in this seemingly dating sim system. I will use this in the future if I ever disliked all of the 3 options.

Like the previous one, I can't pick the first one because It's just rude, the second option is just too plain, so I will pick the third option. I might be direct but It's something that I can manage to say.

"Oh sorry, you're just too beautiful that I couldn't help but stare at you."

After I said that, her reaction was that of surprise and expected for more but I guess. I was expecting too much, then suddenly she was attempting to slap me, but I quickly spoke.

"If you hit me, I'll hit back you know?"

My words were so effective that she stopped her attempt to slap me, then she hmph and said.

"I don't know which side of the bed you wake up today Junichi, but you can't fool with those fake words of flattery anyway. I'll go to the cafeteria since I'm hungry."

She didn't seem to take It seriously, If that was the case then...I should say.

"But I'm serious."

"...You know what Junichi, I'm getting a headache listening to your nonsense."

Kaoru's expression didn't change and she immediately left their classroom.

I stared at her disappearing back while scratching my head.

"I guess, It's not so easy to raise affection?"

I was a bit disappointed but It was still reasonable since this was reality and that was anime. Girls would fall with just simple words of flattery, right? It made sense. I decided to forget what happened.

Kaoru's PoV~

I immediately left my classroom in a hurry because. I can't let him see my face right now! My face was becoming hot over time. My heart was beating wildly like It never had before, this was the first time this happened to me and It was his fault!

After I got away from the classroom, I started to look around to see If someone was around, after confirming that no one was there except me, I exclaimed.

"AGH!! What's wrong with him?! How can he say those words casually without being embarrassed?! I don't understand why am I blushing?!"

I touched my face unconditionally.

"Why Is this happening? Could It be I? No way! There Is no way! I see him like that! He's just a childhood friend of mine! Nothing more, I should be just confused. Yes, that's right I'm just confused that's all!"

I forced myself to believe that It was nothing more than a misinterpretation, there is no way I see him as that after all these years of hanging out, I see him as nothing more than a friend, now let's calm down and forget about it.

And so I succeeded in calming down and tricking myself that It was just a misinterpretation.

I was currently finding the school cafeteria since I have no idea where is it there wasn't a map in this school, It would have been strange If there is I mean, this school might look that big outside, but not really It wasn't that big at all, aside from the classroom of us the students there are other few buildings.

It may have to do with my previous school life, I mean my school in my previous world were big at least thrice as big as this school, maybe because of that my sense of size got affected, so anyway about the cafeteria. I could simply ask where it is, but I didn't ask anyone from my class, because It would make me suspicious. I'm currently in my 2nd year. I was supposed to know every location in the school by now, but the main problem is this body wasn't mine and I have no recollection of the memories of the previous owner of this body!

If only It was convenient like those fanfiction novels. I wouldn't have to act like a cautious dude, then I found a first-year student while looking for the cafeteria. My instinct is telling me that I should follow this person and If did I will find what I am looking for.

Well I did find the place I was looking for while following this person, so now that I know the location of the cafeteria, I wouldn't have to look for it next time, now It's time to buy something to eat…

So I went to the counter to choose a dish to eat. I stared at the menu above. Everything on the list was something new to me, except for the ramen as a person who likes the Japanese culture. It was natural that I have tried eating ramen since It was available in my country back in my previous life.

Now that I'm a true Japanese through and through, I wouldn't suffer racism from the country I loved, since I'm one of them now.

Let's see what I'm going to eat…

After a moment of choosing what to eat, I found what I want to eat for today and when I was about to order suddenly I realized something Important.

"Oh crap. I almost forgot, do I even have enough money to buy the food I desire to eat?"

I started looking at Junichi's wallet, which is now property. I didn't check how much money I have this morning, let's see…

My mouth twitched as I saw how much money I had and couldn't help but say. "Even though I thought that I knew he wasn't rich, I didn't expect him to be this penniless! Damn even my previous life allowance was thrice as this! Now, this won't do! I will find a part-time job after school! Wait, I don't need to find a part-time job. I'll just ask Kaoru to recommend me a part-time job! She was good at this anyway, alright It's settled I'll ask her later!"

In the end, I didn't order that particular dish because I lack the money to buy It so I just bought bread since It's the only possible food that I could afford.

After that, I decided to go back to my classroom.

The class once again started, and this time I found something I thought didn't work but It did, when I saw Kaoru the status above her head changed.

Current thought: W-why is Junichi looking at me? Is there something wrong with my face? Ugh..this is his fault! Why did he have to say that in the first place!

Seeing this, I smiled and waved at her.

After I did her status once again changed.

Name: Tanamachi Kaoru

Affection: 54% (Childhood Friend?)

Mood: Nervous/Confused/Embarrassed/Happy?

Current thought: He smiled at me! W-what does he mean by that?! Was he always like this?!

I became amused after looking at her status. I wanted to do more but I decided not to because I still have to listen so that I can catch up with subject lessons, so I activated the "Focus" Skill and listened to the teacher.

While Junichi was focusing, Kaoru was staring at him, because of him she couldn't focus at all! She thought. 'It's this guy's fault! Because of him, I can't focus on class anymore! Junichi! How dare you tease me! Just you wait!"

She was planning to pay him back for teasing her!
