I Can Only Wield Light Magic

They thought he was cannon fodder, but he was actually a monster. A huge silver gate that could reach the clouds suddenly appeared in the world. People were randomly disappearing and summoned by the gate for a trial. When they returned, some of them got treasures that gave them the ability to fly and wield magic. They were called Exonns. All of them could wield light magic, but it was a lot weaker compared to other elements. Rhys Creed was a man who made a living as a delivery truck driver. He was summoned and got the ability that only wield light magic. They thought he had a common treasure, but it was actually an extraordinary treasure. --- A demon laughed when he saw the white armor on Rhys. "My minions, go and teach this cannon fodder a lesson." LIGHT OF JUDGMENT BOOM! The demons were annihilated. --- Exonns sneered. "How could a cannon fodder dare to fight a demon's army alone?! Does he think he is a hero?!" The demon's army was annihilated. The exonns turned silent. He was not a cannon fodder. He was a monster. --- The book is a WSA entry. It means a lot if you can support the book with your vote.

A Night of Celebration

Rhys was speechless as he looked at the huge projection behind the old man, then he chuckled. "Don't worry, sir, I will not court death."

The old man nodded his head, then the projection disappeared. "Go on."

Rhys moved closer to the huge crystal and placed his hand. "Light Ring."

Magic runes were moving around his hand, then they went to his head. A memory appeared in his mind.

He removed his hand from the crystal, then Hendric escorted him out of the hall. He flew to the top of a building and sat cross-legged as he closed his eyes. "How is it? There is nothing wrong with the magic?"

Fu was in his soul space.

"There is nothing wrong. The magic that contains the memory of the skill is accompanied by a magic seal that will prevent you from leaking it. Your mind will become blank if you try to share it," said Fu.

"Can you break it?"

"Of course, but I can't do it with my current strength. You have to find my other parts first. Breaking it though might catch the attention of someone powerful."

"Is that so? Then it is better not to touch it yet until we find a way to break it without alerting anyone. I don't feel at ease if there is a magic seal in my mind."

"Then you shouldn't buy a skill."

Rhys had a helpless smile. "It is a necessary sacrifice if I don't want to shine brightly and attract too much attention from the demons. I have to perform well in the assessment if I want to enter Kindom."

He opened his eyes, then flew toward the town worlds.

"Hey, kid, I want to go out," said the rabbit with a look of impatience.

Rhys chuckled, then he went to a secluded place and let Fu move out of his soul space. They went shopping, then went home through the maglev train. He called Samuel through his digital watch.

"Aren't you going to train in the association? They have much more advanced facilities here," said Samuel.

"No, the training facility of the branch in Mugwer is enough for me. According to the analysis of my battle skill, I only need to improve the amount of my light energy, which is through absorption from the air or lightstones using meditation. As I wait for the notice of my team, I want to practice smithing magic weapons in Mugwer, where my teacher is located."

Samuel smiled. "You are so talented. I think I understand why Philipp is looking out for you."

"Philipp and I are friends. He likes to exaggerate sometimes as a form of joke," said Rhys with a smile.

"You don't have to be humble. You have already proven yourself. Let us have a drink later after the whole assessment. Me, you, and Philipp."

Rhys laughed. "Yeah, sure."

Then they ended the call. He looked at the crops that were almost ready for harvest through the window.

"It's been a long time since I drank. Was it because I was too busy with work, training, and worry? I haven't formally made a celebration yet. Tonight, I should eat and drink with revelry together with the apartment residents and my family," thought Rhys.

In the evening, Hansel's apartment became noisy. There were tables in the hallway with food and drinks. The apartment residents were picking up food. Liliana was singing a karaoke with other aunts, while Rhys, Hansel, Gil, Philipp, and the others were sitting around a table with beers and food.

"Hahahaha, kid, so you do know how to celebrate. I thought your mind was only filled with training or practice," said Hansel.

"I forgot to hold a celebration like this. We transferred to Exonn Park that evening, ate, then slept," said Rhys with a chuckle, causing the others to laugh.

"At that evening, we hesitated to say it to you brother because you just finished a trial that could have lasted for several years. We also thought of preparing a proper celebration, but we didn't expect that you would do it earlier than our plan," said Gil.

Philipp laughed. "A celebration like this is good. Even a small gathering for drinking or eating is good. For me, it helps me raise my mood. Rhys might be different though. I was sure he had a strong will."

He moved closer to Rhys and whispered,"Tell us the truth. Did you almost fail in the trial where you are surrounded by beautiful girls with irresistible bodies?"

The others laughed when they heard him while Rhys chuckled.

Aunt Ayla moved toward them and introduced a young man.

"Brother Rhys, thank you for saving me. Sorry, I was not able to say it earlier," said the young man named Isor, who was kidnapped by Henry and Felix.

Rhys smiled and nodded his head. "It's fine. Be more alert later."

"Yeah, I was hoping to transfer here, but the apartment room you left is immediately occupied."

Robert laughed. "Hansel's apartment is popular. Even our daughter's family is living with us because it is much safer here."

Isor looked at the dwarf, who was nonchalantly drinking.

"Hey, kid, don't look at me. Speak with other tenants or resident."

Robert chuckled. "I will help you ask if they can still share a room with you."

"Thank you, uncle."

Rhys smiled and thought,"The contribution that I made during the last incident with the demon should be enough to take Aunt Ayla and her family to Exonn Park, but the fact that I exposed the network of demons had to be hidden. Argam told me that the credit will be slowly given to me through various ways to avoid exposing me."

Meanwhile, the rabbit was floating in the air with an arrogant look on his face. Lola was also floating in the air. She was covered by light energy controlled by the rabbit. They were both crossing their arms with swaying capes as the kids, including the grandson and granddaughter of Philipp, were looking at them with awe.

"He is your older brother, Fufu. From now on, I will be your older sister," said Lola with a serious look on her face.

"W-Will I also call you an older sister?" asked Ella.

"E-Ella is an exemption."

"O-Older sister, h-how long will I fan? I'm getting tired," said a chubby kid fanning a big fan that was making the capes of Fu and Lola wave.

"Kid, you did a good job," said Fu, then the chubby kid was covered with light energy, floated in the air and flew around them.

The chubby kid was laughing, causing the other kids to feel envious.

"Older brother, I can also fan your cape!"

"Older brother, we have many carrots in our house!"

Rhys chuckled, and the others were laughing as they watched the kids and the rabbit.

In Mageaf City, Hosman came out of the airport and stared at the huge buildings in the city.

A man also came out of the airport. He had vertical pupils and scales on his cheeks, neck, and arms. He looked at Hosman, then a grin appeared on their faces.
