3 Chapter 3

" I understand Matsumoto vice captain. Thank you for explaining to me." hearing the ins and outs about the recommendation quota, Takuya thanked Rangiku sincerely.

" Haha.. dont mention it. By the way why can't I sense any reiatsu from you Taukya kun?"

" Oh.. its actually special skill of mine probably. I can hide all my reiatsu fluctuations when I'm not intentionally releasing it. I just knew how to do it when I was hiding from some bastards in Zaraki district once. "

" Hmm.. Ok."

After that both of chatted for a while ignoring the gazes from the other applicants. Well you would definitely will be envious if an applicant can chat casually with a vice captain. Who did not want some kind of relationship with a vice captain of Gotei 13?

Takuya felt a little guilty about lying to Rangiku though. He liked her character in the anime and now felt that he did not mind becoming friends with her. Still he cannot tell her the truth about this ability because it was actualy his system concealing his reiatsu fluctuations.

" Let's go then. Is there something on your mind? "

Hearing Rangiku's voice , Takuya snapped out of it and shook his head in denial. Rangiku did not mind and started walking through the huge gate while Takuya followed right behind her.

Other applications were curious about this situation because it was still an hour away from the start of the test but Takuya was already following vice captain inside Seiretei.

In fact even the other shinigami did not know the reason but they did not dare to question their vice captain. So they suppressed their curiosity.

They were not even seated officers of 10th division so the status gap with a vice captain was just too much.

In fact this matter had to do with the recommendation thing.

It was a simple procedure actually. Seated officers and above could recommend someone into Shinigami Academy as long as the applicant had their basic information submitted like reiatsu level and origin.

Such applicants had no need to participate in the two tests and could directly be accepted in the academy.

Honestly Takuya felt little relieved because he had no confidence to pass the written exam. After all he had not read any book ever since he woke up in this world.

He would definitely be accepted due to high reiatsu but it would still be embarrassing to fail a small test.

Nothing interesting happened on the way and both of them finaly reached the academy in twenty minutes.

Takuya just admired the scenery while listening to Rangiku constantly complaining how her captain was lazy and she had do most of the work in managing the squad.

Honestly Takuya's ears were starting to hurt now but he did interrupt her. After all Takuya was still intrested in listening about captain of 10th division Shiba Ishhin.

That man would become future father of the main protagonist Kurosaki Ichigo if nothing went wrong with the plot.

It would be a lie if Takuya said that he was not interested in such a character.

The guards at the academy gate respectfully let both of them in and it did not take long before Takuya got two sets of academy uniform and a few books.

Rangiku said goodbye and went back towards the gate as she was the main supervisor of the exam. Takuya on the other hand decided not to wander around the academy grounds today.

He easily spotted the big dorm building and entered inside his personal room.

There were nothing special there. Just a simple tatami lying on the floor , a small bench , one futon and a wardrobe. Takuya was relived because he could finaly sleep in a decent environment.

The wooden shack in Zaraki district was too bad for his taste.

' Rangiku's personality did not seem to be much different than her anime counterpart. Hehe.. her figure is way more enchanting though. Sigh.. it would be great if she could give me a chance but I know its impossible as Gin Ichimaru resides in her heart. '

Takuya sighed and decided not to try to pursue Rangiku. He knew about Gin's frantic love for her and somehow felt like supporting him.

Classes would start from tomorrow and it was written in the schedule that the first class would be Zanjutsu class and the students will recieve their Asauchi before it.

Takuya could not wait to get it and awaken his zanpakuto as soon as possible.

One good thing was that Takuya finaly knew about the timeline he was in.

On the dormitory noticeboard, Takuya saw some familiar names like Kira Izuru and Renji. Both of them seemed to sixth year students currently.

Takuya did not know exactly when Rukai was adopted by Kuchki clan but he knew that she was still attending the academy before it happened.

Even if she was graduated now , the approximate time before start of the plot can be calculated. In about 40 years it should start when Rukai was stationed in Karakura town.

' Til then I should focus on picking up reiatsu and improving my fighting skills. Speaking of which, my sensitivity to reiatsu is many times better than others. It would be nice if I had talent for kido. After all it was written in the book that those who had better sensitivity to reiatsu and had better control had better talent for kido.'

Takuya thought as he flipped through textbooks and read the general introduction to shinigami arts.

Takuya definitely wanted to master flashy kido and even create his own kido spells in future but most importantly he wanted to learn Kaido which was healing kido.

After all he was going to join 11th division and battles would be the norm. It would be best if he could heal himself quickly.

Time passed and new students who passed the exam came and were now resting in their dorm rooms.

Takuya did not bother them and fell asleep without eating anything at the cafeteria. He was not really tired but the comfortable futon after so much time urged him to sleep..
