Twin's Reunion, Part 4

Chapter 11: Twin's Reunion, Part 4

The shadows binding Noel all was pierce by the spike that rose from the ground using his sinister power. Broken free the demon glared at Camila the dead look in his eyes was filled with so much intent to kill.

His body already consumed by darkness Its twisted, jagged teeth gleamed with a sickly sheen as a wicked grin spread across its face. Long, clawed fingers flexed and curled, ready to unleash devastation upon its foes.

Camila concentrated, summoning shadows to attack the demon. Dark tendrils emerged from the ground, striking from all sides in a desperate attempt to hold him back.

But the demon easily destroyed the tendrils with a single swipe of his claws. He moved with unnatural speed, closing the distance between them in an instant.

In defense, Camila enveloped herself in darkness, creating a protective barrier against the demon's attacks. Though resilient, her strength began to wane as the battle dragged on.

With her energy fading, Camila unleashed a final burst of shadows, forcing the demon to retreat momentarily.

"Don't just stand there!" Camila yelled at the two in the corner.

Lamy, still dazed, quickly snaps out of it and turned her head to Nora. "Young Miss, please get away from here" not looking back any further she visualize drawing upon mana, feeling her heartbeat quicken as she does so. Suddenly, a bluish light bursts out and flows through her veins. A soft, glowing light starts to emanate from her hand, forming into a blue ring beside her. It seems to contain the essence of the ocean, with ripples of waves visible within.

"I'll provide cover," she says, as water begins to flow out of the ring. Within moments, a gentle stream of water emerges, defying the laws of nature as it materializes from the ring. The water dances and twists gracefully, defying gravity as it cascades down from the ring.

As the flow continues, the surroundings seem to come alive with the soothing sound of trickling water, creating a serene atmosphere that captivates all who witness it. The air feels cool and refreshing, carrying with it the subtle scent of fresh rain.

With each passing moment, the stream of water grows in intensity, its flow becoming more pronounced and powerful. It weaves and curves through the air with fluid grace, leaving behind a trail of mesmerizing patterns.

The magical energy within the ring pulses, guiding the water's flow. The streams of water transform into arrow shapes, countless arrows floating menacingly with their tips aimed at the demon.

"HAH!" With a shout, Lamy gestures, and the water arrows shoot towards the demon with incredible speed, bombarding him relentlessly. Camila aids with shadow tendrils, restricting his movement further.

Dust rises as the barrage of water arrows wreaks havoc on the battlefield, causing destruction all around. The once-beautiful botanical garden lies in ruins, with poison spreading through the air from the damaged plants.

GROWL

The demon cried out as the arrows relentlessly pierced its skin, blood seeping from every wound. Shadow tendrils whipped and drilled into its body, with spikes emerging from the ground to add to its torment. Despite its speed, the demon couldn't dodge all the attacks.

Camila, drained from the battle, looked pale and ghostly, barely able to stand. If the demon survived this onslaught, all would be lost, their lives extinguished like a flickering flame.

The relentless assault continued for several minutes until both Camila and Lamy were exhausted. Camila collapsed to the ground, barely conscious, while Lamy sank to her knees, watching as the dust settled.

The demon lay motionless, impaled by water arrows and with a large wound in its chest. Unexpectedly, the wound began to close, and a horn slowly emerged from its head, radiating a sinister energy that filled the room. Its jagged teeth gleamed in the darkness, sending shivers down the spines of those who saw it.

"It's over," came the despairing realization from the both of them.

The demon, now fully formed, gazed at the puny beings who had dared to interrupt its transformation with a wicked smile.

"Now that I am fully awakened," the demon hissed, its voice dripping with malice as it addressed the people in the room, "you insects have served your purpose. But know this, your defiance has not gone unnoticed."

Its eyes shimmered with an unsettling glow as it spoke, "You may have inflicted temporary harm upon me, but you are ignorant of the full extent of my might. I am eternal, indomitable. Your futile endeavors to impede me are insignificant."

The demon's grin widened, revealing its jagged teeth as it spoke with sinister delight, "Now, behold true terror as I unleash my wrath upon this world. But first, your agony will be exquisite, your despair delectable."

With a menacing laugh that echoed through the room, the demon prepared to torment the beings that inflicted wound upon him. Its eyes glowed with an eerie light as he set his eyes on a blond child far across the room.

"No! Run!" Camila shouted as she saw what the demon was planning.

'Oh no,' Lamy looking over to see Nora still there. Despite trying to move her, she was still there standing at the same spot. Helplessly, she watched as the demon approached.

Terrified as the demon drew closer, Camila's heart pounded with fear. Despite her exhaustion, she summoned all her strength to crawl towards the demon.

With hatred burning in her eyes, she directed her gaze at the demon with intense killing intent. However, it seemed to delight in her struggle, its smile widening even further.

Nora trembled in fear, her legs frozen in place, unable to flee from the demon. Despite having a mage qualification and manifesting a ring, she couldn't control her powers yet.

The demon appeared before Nora, causing her to tremble in fear. It grabbed her by the neck, lifting her off the ground. Nora struggled in the demon's grasp, trying to free herself from its choking hold, but she couldn't break free.

As time passed, Nora struggled more against the demon's tightening grip, her breath running out. Her fight grew weaker as her consciousness slipping away.

BOOM

Suddenly, an explosion erupted between Nora and the demon, creating a barrier that separated them. In the center, a bright red ring glowed fiercely, casting light in the dim chamber. The air heated up as flames flickered around the ring.

Nora's heart raced, thumping loudly in her chest as she stared at the ring in front of her. Confused but with no time to think, she leaped up and bolted away as fast as she could.

The ring followed closely behind as Nora sprinted, but suddenly, a sharp crack echoed through the room. Nora felt a searing pain in her stomach, and the sound of bones breaking filled the air. She was sent flying across the chamber by a powerful kick from the demon, whose smirk turned into a frown of annoyance
