22 Newbie Giftpack!

The world around Johan was a blur of motion and sound. The roar of gunfire, the shrieks of the Humanoid Bats, the screams of terrified citizens, all merged into a chaotic symphony of destruction. His body was heavy, his energy depleted, and the wound on his arm pulsed with every beat of his heart.

He was on the ground, staring up at the sky. The bat that had knocked him down was looming over him, ready for the final blow. But as its shadow fell over him, Johan's mind wasn't on his impending doom. Instead, his thoughts were filled with the faces of his loved ones - his brother, Miles, and his friend, Fatty.

'Miles... Fatty... I promised to come back...' he thought, his heart aching with regret. 'I can't fail now. Not when they're waiting for me.' Images of his new home, the city he was protecting, flashed across his mind. Despite the danger, a calm settled over him. 'This is my city, my home. I won't let it fall.'

Yet, as he tried to push himself up, his strength gave way. He could barely lift his gun. His breaths were shallow, his vision blurred. Death seemed certain, and his hope was fading fast.

Just as he was about to close his eyes and succumb to the inevitable, a sudden warm sensation flooded Johan's body, halting the encroaching darkness. It felt like a spark, igniting a dormant part of him, spreading from his chest to the rest of his body. He felt an unfamiliar, yet comforting energy seeping into his veins, his muscles, and his very consciousness.

'What's happening?' Johan thought, gasping as the pain in his arm started to lessen. 'This feeling... It's like...'

Suddenly, an ethereal voice echoed in his mind, breaking his thoughts. "Activation successful. Welcome, host, to the Strongest Monster Creation System."

His eyes widened in surprise. 'System? Monster creation?' He didn't have time to dwell on the confusion, for the voice continued, "You have a Divine Quality Card."

'Divine Quality Card?' He didn't know what that meant, but somehow, he could sense the importance and power it carried. 'Is this... the power to fight back?'

"Status!"

1st Card: Adam, The Beast Incarnator (Divine, Quality -Mutated-)

The card mutated into a system because of the fusion of the soul of the user, soul of the original host of the body, and the strange power of the altar.

System function:

-Interface

'Adam? The Beast Incarnator... Mutated? Isn't Adam the one in the Legend that fatty was talking about the other day?' Johan's mind raced as the information about the card poured into his consciousness. As if seeing through a lens, a unique interface materialized in front of him, an ethereal projection within his mind.

The interface displayed multiple options such as "Promotion Card", "Mission Card", "Treasure Hunting Card", "Recovery Card", "Monster Creation Card" and "Item Card". Another panel displayed features like "Map", "Appraisal", "Storage Space", and a peculiar one labeled "Monster-to-Card".

'Incredible... I can... create my own monsters?' Johan marveled at the possibility. 'And it seems the monsters I create could be even stronger than me. That... That could change everything!'

He could barely contain his excitement, but he also knew he had to be cautious. 'And these other features... I can transform my monsters within a radius into card forms, and I can even customize their physical bodies with gold coins.'

Johan then noticed a note about the passive skill, which said that he would gain a random ability of the monster card created. 'So, I could have multiple abilities based on the monsters I create...'

He was starting to understand the power he had stumbled upon, the importance of this Divine Quality Card. It was a potential game-changer in a situation like this.

Suddenly, information about the card's quality upgrades appeared on the interface, promising even more powers and abilities.

'I have a lot to learn... But, if I can master this...' Johan thought, looking at the chaos unfolding around him. '...I might just stand a chance.'

The realization filled him with a renewed sense of purpose. As the sounds of battle echoed around him, Johan clutched his daggers tighter, his eyes blazing with determination.

'Alright, Adam, The Beast Incarnator. Let's see what you can do.'

DING!

"The host is rewarded with a newbie giftpack for first activation!"

'Newbie giftpack!?' Johan exclaimed.

A chime echoed in Johan's consciousness, drawing his attention back to the ethereal interface before him. A new card had been generated, flickering into existence on the screen. It was ornate, the borders etched with intricate patterns, the center adorned with an image of a ghastly figure.

'Ah, so the newbie giftpack is a card? my first card...' He mused, studying the card with wide eyes. 'I can't believe it... This is really happening. I'm actually about to summon a creature.'

Bracing himself, he willed the card into action. A swirl of energy erupted from his consciousness, spiraling into reality in front of him. A figure began to take shape, gradually solidifying into a creature that sent chills down his spine.

Before him stood a ghoul, a grotesque creature that looked like it had leaped straight out of the pages of the manga Tokyo Ghoul. Its skin was an unnatural shade of pallor, and its eyes, rimmed with crimson, glowed in the darkness. A predatory organ, its Kagune, writhed like a livid appendage, crimson and gleaming under the hazy glow of the city's dwindling lights.

'Just like in Tokyo Ghoul... This Kagune, it's real...' He could barely contain his awe. He could see the Kagune writhing, eager for a hunt. 'Now, let's see how this creature fights.' He thought to himself, his heart pounding with anticipation.

Johan stared at the summoned ghoul, a strange sense of kinship stirring within him. 'Can you understand me?' He questioned inwardly, curiously watching the ghoul's reaction. To his surprise, the creature nodded, its eyes never leaving Johan's.

'Fascinating...So, I can communicate with it. The question now is, will it follow my commands?' Johan mused, a sliver of excitement tinting his thoughts.

Turning his gaze back to the battlefield, he relayed his first command. 'Help us. Protect the city.'

The ghoul, in response, turned its attention towards the scene of chaos. With a predatory snarl, it leaped into action, cutting through the air with an impressive speed that left Johan momentarily stunned.

'Its speed, its strength...It's incredible. With this kind of power...' His self-talk was cut short as the ghoul landed in the midst of the Humanoid Bats, its Kagune lashing out with deadly precision.

Each swipe of its Kagune cleaved through the invaders effortlessly, turning them into fragments of light that dissipated in the air. Its actions were fluid, brutal, and efficient – a dance of carnage painted against the backdrop of a city under siege. Johan couldn't help but marvel at the creature's deadly efficiency, its strength unparalleled, its speed blinding.

'With this ghoul by my side, we might just stand a chance.' His thoughts were filled with a newfound hope as he watched the ghoul devastate the invaders. Amidst the chaos and panic, the ghoul stood as a beacon of resistance, its strength bolstering the waning spirits of the city's defenders.

Johan watched as the ghoul moved like a shadow amongst the enemy, its Kagune slashing through the Humanoid Bats like a hot knife through butter. 'I...I think we might just win this,' he murmured to himself, his heart pounding with adrenaline. The ghoul had become a beacon of hope in a sea of despair, its power unmatched and unyielding.

As the ghoul pushed back the invaders, the protagonist found himself guarded by its monstrous might. A sense of security washed over him, one that he hadn't felt since the start of the invasion. He moved alongside the creature, their actions synchronizing into a deadly dance of survival.

The fighting seemed to go on forever, but as the last bat fell, there was a palpable sense of relief. 'We...we did it.' Johan panted, looking at the ghoul with appreciation. It had not only saved his life but had also played a significant role in protecting the city.

His body was spent, fatigue clawing at his senses. Yet, there was a strange exhilaration coursing through his veins, a sense of accomplishment. He had survived. 'This...This is only the beginning, isn't it?' He thought, looking at the ghoul. The creature simply stared back, its eyes glowing with a primal intensity.

The city was quiet once more, the threat repelled for now. But the silence was interrupted by the murmurs and gasps from the two Card Masters and the surviving guards. They had seen the ghoul, its power, its loyalty to Johan. 'What now? Will they see me as a threat or as an ally?' His mind was a whirl of questions, the weight of the day's events settling in.

But above all the concerns, one thought was resounding louder - 'With this ghoul...I can protect my brother. I can protect this city.' And with that thought, his fatigue seemed less overwhelming, his fears less daunting.
