67 Clash in the Canopy

As the chilly winds and ice of the tundra disappeared, a new scenery sprawled before Johan. His surroundings transformed into an incredibly dense forest. Trees, tall as skyscrapers, stood majestically around him, their leafy canopies forming a green ceiling high above. Sunlight peeked through the spaces between the leaves, casting a beautiful dappled light onto the forest floor. Undergrowth was lush and thick, vibrant with the buzzing and chirping of unseen creatures.

'Well, isn't this a change of scenery,' Johan thought, adjusting his footing on the uneven, root-filled terrain. 'From ice to forest, talk about a climate change.'

His moment of humor was quickly interrupted by a rustling from the undergrowth. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of something blending into the foliage. His heart pounded in his chest as he realized what he was up against. It was a monster known as 'Slurpy,' a Tier 9 Rare Monster with extraordinary camouflage abilities.
