The disciple was visibly shocked. "You? You're just a new disciple, right! You really took down a monster at Qi Condensation?"

Jiang Lei nodded. "Yes, I did."

The disciple examined Jiang Lei skeptically and asked, "What's the proof that you actually killed the monster?"

Jiang Lei sighed listening this, he was expecting such situation, but it was still something he was wishing not to face, he circulated his energy in his body, revealing his Cultivation at the third level of Qi Condensation.

The disciple's eyes widened in astonishment. "How... How is this possible? What's your name?"

"I am Jiang Lei."

"I...I see. My apologies for doubting you. You will get your reward soon but first, I'll have to check the body of the monster."

They headed towards the outer sect where the monster's body lay. During the walk, Jiang Lei asked, "Senior brother, how long will it take to receive my Azure points?"

"It shouldn't take more than a day," Hu Yifan replied. "I'll inspect the monster, compile the report, and submit it to the elder. Once that's done, you will receive your rewards soon."

"Thank you, senior brother. I also want to participate in the inner sect competition. Where should I go for registration?" Jiang Lei inquired curiously.

Registration? Hu Yifan looked at Jiang Lei with a strange expression. "Don't you know the registration has already ended?"

Jiang Lei's face got red with anger as he heard the news. "Ended? Why? I've gone through all the hardships, I killed this monster just to earn the Azure points needed for the inner sect competition. Now, you're telling me I can't even register?"

Hu Yifan raised his hand and placed it on Jiang Lei's shoulder. "Calm down, Jiang Lei, I just said the registration period has ended, but that doesn't mean you can't participate. Your talent is exceptional, and you don't need to follow ordinary rules. I'll discuss your situation with the elder. He'll surely help you to participate in the competition."

The old man turned his gaze towards Jiang Lei and Hu Yifan, as if sensing their presence.

"Elder... Great Elder," Hu Yifan stammered, quickly bowing before him. "I have seen Great Elder."

Great Elder Chen glanced at Hu Yifan and nodded in acknowledgment. His eyes locked on Hu Yifan, who felt a sudden pressure from the elder's penetrating gaze.
