~CHAPTER 2~

"Can this day get any worse?" Myra shouts on the sidewalk. When the people around her look at her, she softly answers sorry and moves away trying to hold onto her emotions.

"Ouch", she accidentally hits the dustbin that was just kept at the side of the street.

"Great! Can this day be any worse?"

The words of the HR kept coming in her mind again and again. "We're sorry but we have Tasha now and most importantly she doesn't disappear without telling us."

"Missed me so soon?" Siena's calm voice greets her this time.

"I'm jobless", the words tasted like acid in her mouth, but she had to admit the harsh truth.

"What do you mean?" Then she starts telling her about the incident that took place when entering the office, everyone was shocked to see her, then how the bitch Tasha told her to meet the HR and how she was replaced in the matter of two days without any information and how at the end of the day they blamed everything on her even though it was their fault

"I mean, could you really blame them?" Siena's words hit her more.

"Thanks for the pinch of salt Ena. That is all what I needed", she was practically drilling holes in her phone.

"Oh come on Myra don't be dramatic now. Just think about this for once, you disappeared without telling anyone, even me for Heaven's sake, so how can you expect them not to replace you, hell even I want to but I can't replace a best friend, now can I?" Siena gives a laugh at the end.

"Yeah but why me? Why all these things are happen to me?" She whines as she sits on the bench, though she couldn't believe how far she had walked.

"It's okay...They'll know what they lost. Myra you are one of the best content writer's, that they've now lost and also you need a change as well", Siena encourages her, "Wait I'm a genius", she suddenly exclaims adding, then her side gets muted.

"Why, what happened? Ena!" Myra shouted her name.

"Ouch. Thank you for making me deaf", Siena says from the other side.

"Just listen to me carefully and do exactly as I tell you to...."

"Ma'am here's your ticket ", The ticket agent lady looks at Myra weirdly from head to toe but still without a comment gives her the tickets. It wasn't her fault that she was watching like that.

It was maybe the fact that she was stupid enough to follow her best friend's words and was wearing the first thing the wardrobe had clean enough to wear, a black T-shirt and blue jeans with a big maroon suitcase at the side, which looks cute from the outside but inside she's praying that it doesn't get open from the load that was piled inside.

Siena squeals loudly, "I can't believe you are coming!"

"And I can't believe that I'm actually doing this either"

"You're doing this because you love me!"

"Which I'm starting to regret"

"Hey!" She giggles just imagining Siena's gaping and offended face.

Her flight's name gets called, "Ena I've got to go my flight just got called, bye and I really can't wait to meet you".

So just like that she holds onto the suitcase handle and drags it towards the flight gate.

As she looks out of the window, the thoughts of how Siena was able to convince her in just a matter of few minutes to take the flight. How easy it was to book her tickets and the rest of it. When she looked outside the window the realization of leaving everything and everyone hit her, a part of her thought was it was for the best, as the things that happened in the past still gave her a sour mouth. If anything she was grateful for the change. She plugs her earphones in and the song airplane by BOB starts playing, talk about irony.

Myra's phone vibrates in her pocket. She takes out her phone looks like the plane hasn't taken off, seeing the unknown number suspicion and curiosity bubbles inside her.

"Hello"

"Hello"

"Going somewhere Myra?" Hearing the familiar voice she blanks out, but regaining herself she starts looking around the plane yet she doesn't see anyone familiar.

"No and even if I was what does it have to do with you!?" She snaps back.

"Still feisty P". The person chuckles from the other side.

"What do you want B?" Fear suddenly grows inside her; they wouldn't call without any work.

"We got information that you're going to London", this time it was more like a statement rather than the question.

"Yes so what?"

"We've got work for you..." She doesn't like the sound of it, so before the statement gets complete she replies, "I don't care whatever it is, am not doing it".

"You can't say no, P", she tightens her fist.

"Well I'm not entering in that shit again and moreover I'm happy doing something I love", she exhales.

"And how is that going for you? We heard you got fired just this morning", 'they never take their nose out of her work do they?'

"Why, am I under a surveillance B?" She asks threatened looks around again to see but still finds no one. Great! This just makes her more anxious of her actions now.

"Don't worry P you are not. We just got that information from somewhere", something about those words doesn't give her any relief.

"And that was supposed to make me feel better B? I'm still not doing it. Bye now", some incoherent reply comes but she does not wait for them to say anything further so ends the call saying, "and please don't call back". 'As if that will stop them?'

Throwing the phone in her bag and the bag in the above compartment. She feels someone poking her. Turning around in frustration only for her expression to immediately change as her brown eyes meets with a chest.

She raises her head to meet with brown eyes lighter in comparison with her dark brown ones. She looks at his face clearly taking in every single one of his features, the chiseled jawline that makes him look edgy at the same time he looks so innocent and to add more of edginess he wore earrings, one long with channel logo the other a small silver ring. His tall height towering her 5'4 height making his black sweatshirt covered chest almost touching her face, just embarrassing her more. Breath hitched and the next words that she was about to speak out both get stuck inside her throat.

"Excuse me, this seat is mine", the soft voice just feels like a lullaby to her ears. Her subconscious shouting mentally like a fan girl right now.

"Umm..." He raises his eyebrow waiting for her to say something.

"Yeah....sorry", she moves only to hit him with the bag that she was still holding in the other hand. It just flies and gets smashed on his shoulder. In reflex Myra holds his arm. The touch sends her shock through her body.

Oops

"Ouch!"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean..." This is the reason you should never think about any boy liking you. Her subconscious mocks her. She removes his hand in instant.

He immediately closes his eyes in pain for a second and bites his perfect lips but says nothing instead rubs a hand over where the bag hit him. Her face heats up just seeing all the eyes in the plane on her. Great!

"Do you all could please settle in your seat we're about to take off", She's thankful when the air hostess interrupts. Without any other words she just moves inside and shrinks down in her seat, looking out the window hoping the stares could settle down as well.

"If you still want to keep the bag inside...I can keep it", She looks at him standing, staring at her with his hands resting at the edge of the compartment. Such a gentleman! Her subconscious gushes.

She moves her bag towards him, "Thank you".

"You're welcome"

After putting the bag he sits beside her, his cologne and her heartbeat being all over the place she knew this was going to be a very long journey!
