11) Day 10

I'm sitting here tossing up a coin. Up and down, up and down. I feel disturbed. Is that the word? I think so.

That carriage keeps coming to the shop. The one I first saw on my birthday. Usually when Anita lets off early. I've seen her shuffle the person into the back room. It's all so strange.

Especially today.

That hooded woman came in hours before close. Anita freaked out pushing everyone out of the store. Including me. I've never been blatantly kicked out of the store before.

She closed the store turing off all the lights. The sun had only set. I had no choice but to just walk home.

Today was payday to. She didn't give me my money.

It's been 10 days now. I've had this ability for double digits now. I figured out a couple of things.

One big thing is I don't actually have to say things out loud. I only need to say it in my mind with strong intent.

Second the skills are really useless unless I level them up. Which I can't figure out.

The stats are a lot. I'm a little worried about changing them and loosing control. Like my mana. If I increase that to much at once, I could easily loose control.

Third the items are a lottery. They never corelate with what you're doing. They reflect you status and other equipment.

I got a really nice pan the other day. Today I got socks. Honestly they are both exciting. The sock are now my softest pair. The pan is so deep. I can fit so much in there.

I also got a shovel. It's a nice shovel. Though what am I gonna do. Dig a grave.

I could sell the things but my paranoia of what's to come is just to much now. Each day it builds with me being unsure.

I can't even talk about it with anyone. I'm so unsure.

Well there is always Blobbles though. He knows everything and still loves me. Sometimes he loves my bed more than me but I can accept that.

I stand up letting the coin clang to the floor. I walk over to the kitchen and look outside.

Quiet and dark outside. And my neighbors are silent. It's too odd.

Why do weird days have to turn into weird nights? It's so frustrating.

Okay that's nice. Would have liked to know I didn't have the complete version of the system. Ugg I waisted so much time.

Even now I don't know if I have the complete version still. Probably not. I sigh clicking on the three others.

You can now upgrade skills by using them. Passive ones upgrade automatically, while active ones must be activated.

You can also use your daily quest to upgrade skills instead of acquiring new ones.'

Okay very useful. Again would have liked to know this.

'Saving

Instead of receiving a skill or item immediately, save it to get a better one latter.'

Actually love that. I have only been getting average items.

The option was to sell stuff and get a better one so the system would give me something better. Though this is much better.

'Flash quests

These quests have a time limit as they must be completed upon you receiving them. They will sometimes have a penalty upon failure to complete. The rewards are much better though.

You still have to sign in.'

Interesting. So as long as there isn't a penalty it's optional.

I close all of the screens. I'm so tired. I would be more excited about this if it wasn't for that blasted robed person. If it was a one time thing it would be fine.

Though Anita refuses to tell me anything. Ugg, I hate this. I want to know what's going on. I want to know who that person is.

I want to know what Anita is getting into. I want them to just be safe. I know we have our own lives. Though it's too sketchy for me to just write it off.

Tomorrow is a day off. I'm going to level up all of my active skills. I won't be useless when the time comes.

I change and turn of the lights, getting into bed with Blobbles.

It's as they say, Fear is a great motivator. There is no greater fear than loosing ones loved ones.
