Beneath the shade

"Hmm?" Hazuki pointed a finger to where her eyepatch used to be. "It was just an accessory."

Hazuki's soft smooth tone combined with her lips pursing into a small smile was pretty much a critical hit to a lot of normies. But I am no normie now, rather quite the opposite. I had a face as thick as concrete, but even that wall seems to be showing signs of cracks now...

"Ahem." I cleared my throat and decided to change the topic. "I see. So, tell me what's your book about?"

"No problem!" She closed her eyes and said with a sweet expression.

She handed me the note book before her for me to see. I took it and read it from the first line:

"Time is a illusion that always go forward, but never in reverse. It is a unlimited, continuing progress of existence and events that occurs in a uncontrolled sequence from the past, through the present, and to the future. Despite this information, one has the ability to go  against this fact and do the complete opposite. He can alternate time, travel through time, and even freeze time for his intentions or reasons. In this tale, a young girl's fate will cease to happen and change her life forever.

Vega Tsuzuki is one day violently harassed by a gang at the school rooftop. She puts up a strong fight that causes her to be pushed from the rooftop and down below to her death. At the brink of perishing, her petite body falls into the hands of Zenith Kronuko, an egnamatic transfer student. After this incident, the two forms a strong bond that will hold the both of them together forever, despite troubles and emotions themself.

Time will soon prevail and set a path for Vega to decide.

When I was done I looked up and saw that her lips was pursed together like a rabbit chewing :

"What do you think?" Her tone was one like a rabbit eager for a carrot.

"The 1st part reminds me of the anime steins gate."

"Whoa. I didn't know that. I need to watch that anime."

"Yeah. Its kind of boring the 1st half, But it gets good in the 2nd half."

"I see." She looked me in the eye. "There has to be a way for me to make it less boring."

"Perhaps." I said. "Anyways there is something I am a little curious about."

"What is it?" Hazuki cocked her head slightly.

"Your past. And how you came to this world. If you don't mind telling."

"Ok." Hazuki paused for a brief moment. "But you can't tell anyone else." She said with a small voice.

"I won't." I said.

"Alright then." Hazuki's expression was blank for a moment and just as it seemed she was about to speak, another voice interrupted:

"Someone is at the door." Iris said, appearing out of nowhere right beside us.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"She says her name is Lili, and claims to be your friend. Shall I let her in?"

I looked at Hazuki for a moment then back to Iris again then sighed.

"Yes, let her in."
