Chapter-7[Back Ride-2]

Kyle wondered when Little Lady Lilliana called him her friend. He was planning on becoming her butler, not her friend. But soon shrug it off as just thinking of it as just a child's wish.

"Yes, Young Lady, I am your friend," Kyle answered with a small smile.

But internally, he was feeling a little pain as his arms are way too weak to be moved like that.

Evangeline observed that calmly but a glint passed through her eyes when she heard Kyle introducing himself as Little Lady's friend.

She was also curious about many things that happened today, 'Is he really the same? but that shouldn't be possible...but...no, I can't make baseless assumptions, I need to gather information first before reaching a conclusion. Then, where did he learn his manners from?'

Evangeline was already having her thoughts in a mess. The red-haired maid wasn't able to believe that the name she thought of never hearing again was heard after all that time.

After thinking for a while, Evangeline finally decided to ask as she turned toward Kyle who was now answering the random questions asked by Little Lady, "Where did you learn those noble servant gestures?"

Kyle turned his head in surprise. He was surprised to hear her talking to him, 'Now that I listened carefully, even her voice is kinda same to hers...' and thought.

Countless thoughts passed through Kyle's head as he thought for the answer to the question and also his own curiosity but not even a single second passed in the outside world. That was how intelligent Kyle was, and the reason why he was able to create Interstaller technology when he was only in his twenties in his past life.

Little Lady also focused on Kyle as she herself was curious about the answer, 'How did Kyle learn them? It took me a lot of time and with the help of a tutor was I able to learn the basics but Kyle shouldn't have the tutor or anyone to teach him...' and thought.

She was able to understand Kyle's situation even though not much but enough to know how he would have lived as he had to steal just to eat. And that was the reason why she hadn't spoken about him stealing that he was doing before.

"I learned that after copying what those nobles and their servants did in front of the slums and sometimes from the area around the church," Kyle answered while tilting his head. His voice was calm and to anyone, it sounded like hearing those words was righteous, without a single trace of a lie.

Evangeline nodded, but her eyes still showed suspicion. Even though Kyle's gestures were clumsy to her, but they were still something that not any Slum Kid could learn.

"WOW! Did you learn it just by watching?!" Little Lady asked excitedly. She felt another connection between her and Kyle.

'So I am not a freak, right?'

She was able to learn anything easily, or after giving it little time making everyone scared of her while her family felt happy, but all the servants felt scared of her.

Kyle nodded, not knowing the thoughts of the excited Little Lady.

Little Lady then kept asking some random questions while keeping her questions in a limit, not anything about his past. Kyle answered everything while racking his brain to answer the question in a limit of what a slum kid should know.

He know that Evangeline was listening carefully to everything he spoke to find a single flaw, 'Why is she paying so much attention to me?'

After half an hour, during which Kyle sometimes observed something outside through the window or talked with Little Lady who got her excitement back. During this whole time, Evangeline stayed silent and observed.

"Young Miss, we are back," Sebastain called out making Little Lady yelp in surprise as she was telling Kyle about the roses that she planted in the garden.

Kyle tried his best to keep his laughter inside while Evangeline smiled.

A blush crept on Little Lady's face but she controlled herself and instead of bursting out, she spoke excitedly, "Then, please go inside. I want to introduce Kyle to Father and Mother!"

Sebastian who was sitting on the coach seat nodded and driver through the metal gate with the guards silently following behind them.

Kyle looked outside, at the giant mansion in front of him. The whole mansion was covered in stone and cement wall boundaries, and a giant garden was made with a mansion in the center of the garden.

Soon, Sebastian stopped in front of the mansion, Avarice Mansion. The main residence of the Avarice Duke and his family. The whole mansion seemed to be made from expensive white marble and a red carpet was laid on the stairs going to the main door of the mansion.

There was no one except two maids who seemed to be waiting at the sides of the door.

Sebastain stepped down from the coach seat and opened the door of the carriage and Evangeline stepped out first and helped Little Lady to climb down and then Kyle, making the black-haired boy surprised by her act.

'Did she not feel anything from touching me?' Kyle wondered, his clothes were dirty. There was not any kind of smell on him but his body was full of dust and his appearance looked unsightly to even see. So, it was a surprise to him as to how easily the mysterious red-haired woman touched him, while the Little Lady was a kid, so he didn't count her.

Kyle then looked at the maids who were standing at the sides of the door before and were bowing right now when Little Lady appeared.

He narrowed his eyes. The maids showed clear disgust to the Little Lady and him too. He could understand why they were showing to him due to his clothes and his appearance but they were showing disgust to Little Lady too, someone he decided to protect.

Before he could do anything, his hand was held by Little Lady tightly as she excitedly spoke, "Let's go! and meet Father and Mother!"

The black-haired boy looked at his clothes and shook his head. He know that his appearance was not suitable to meet someone of Duke's standard.

"Young Miss, Kyle needs to clean himself first before he could meet Lord Duke," Evangeline instructs calmly as she took Little Lady's other hand.

Little Lady looked at Kyle with a reluctant expression before she nodded and released his hand.

"Uncle Sebastian...if you could?" Little Lady asked the Loyal Butler.

Sebastian nodded and showed a kind smile, "Yes, I will do it. And I will take the little boy with me, Young Miss, so you could go and meet Lord Duke right now."

A smile formed on Little Lady's face as she replied happily, "Yes! I will do that!"

She then turned toward Kyle whose gaze was wandering between Sebastian and Evangeline to the two maids bowing their heads.

'Why are both of them not showing emotions similar to them?' Kyle thought. He was now starting to feel the whole situation in the mansion weirder and weirder. He felt like there was a huge puzzle covering this Dukedom as he remembered the important points from the game too.

"I am going to Father first! But don't worry, we will meet there!" Little Lady tried to say it in a soothing manner but her excitement betrayed her, 'I finally have a friend! I want Father and Mother to meet him too!!'

Kyle looked at Little Lady, or more especially at her abyssal black eyes. He felt like losing in those eyes, that was something he hadn't experienced much except with a single person.

Coming out of his thoughts as Little Lady started waving her hands in front of his face, Kyle smiled and replied, "Then I will meet you there, Litt....Young Lady."

Kyle felt his whole back turned cold just as he was about to call Little Lady, Little Lady. Evangeline shot him a glare making him stop.
