Sir Dorren was the first to welcome them. They arrived at Calden Castle after riding with five soldiers of their escort for two days from their town, of course, to fulfill the invitation Quentin had given them.

"It's unusual for Lord Quentin to call us here. Is there something serious he needs to tell us?" asked Lord Toman, a 38-year-old man with a handsome face and a firm jawline, the ideal of every woman in Hayford.

"That's right. Did he also call the leaders of the other houses besides us?" asked Elmar, a lanky man with a distinctive mustache trying to confirm something through Sir Dorren.

The front door of the castle opened, revealing the figure of Lord Helferich, who was younger than Toman and Elmar, but Quentin's intelligence far surpassed both of them.
