1 I'm your Ancestor

Mo Fan, with his hair disheveled, floated in the air three feet above the ground, his body insubstantial and ethereal. He looked down at the bed, where a young man lay with a pale face and weak breath.

"God is blind," Mo Fan muttered to himself with a hopeless expression. "I'm a good web novelist, working late nights to meet my deadlines. And now I've been transported to the world of my own novel."

"If I had to be transported, I would have preferred to be the protagonist, with a system and a grandfather in my ring to protect me," he continued. "I could have leveled up, fought monsters, and made friends with beautiful women, and achieved great fame."

"If that was too much to ask, I would have been happy to be a minor character, following the protagonist and cheering him on. When he achieved great things, I could have basked in his reflected glory."

"If even that was too much, I would have been okay with being the villain," he said. "I'm the author, after all. I could have stolen the protagonist's opportunities, and then I would have been the protagonist."

"But no," he sighed. "I'm stuck in this ring as the ancestor of a minor villain who doesn't even make it past the first ten chapters."

Mo Fan's mental state had collapsed.

Mo Qingkuang was the young man lying on the bed in front of him. He may look okay on the outside, but his brain was not working.

He looked somewhat similar to Mo Fan, as if he were Mo Fan's descendant.

He was the eldest son of the Mo family, the number one clan in Tiannan City. He was sixteen years old, and he had a good aptitude for cultivation. He had reached the peak of the Martial Artist realm at a young age, and he was known as the number one prodigy in Tiannan City.

Unfortunately, he was also a spoiled brat who had grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was arrogant and domineering, and he often bullied people in the city. It was truly a waste of the good name his father gave him, Mo Qingkuang.

Mo Qingkuang was also a womanizer, and he was constantly pursuing the beloved daughter of the Chu family, Chu Yanran, the second largest family in Tiannan City.

Having detected Earth-grade aptitude at the age of six, her strength was almost on par with Mo Qingkuang. She had lived her life surrounded by countless praises and admirations, a true daughter of the heavens. How could she possibly have any interest in a playboy like Mo Qingkuang?

However, how could Mo Qingkuang, with his rascally nature, easily give up on such a beauty?

In one of Mo Qingkuang's publicly planned confession attempts, Chu Yanran couldn't bear it any longer. She randomly pulled Lin Yang from the street to use as a shield, and thus, Mo Qingkuang and Lin Yang developed a grudge against each other.

This Lin Yang is the protagonist set by Mo Fan in his novel. He was born in a small family in Tiannan City, the Lin family. He was born with the most top-tier Heaven-grade aptitude, but his old man in the ring on his hand had been stealing his cultivation results to nourish himself for many years.

He started cultivating at the age of six and became the first grade Martial Artist in a month. He was once known as the number one prodigy in Tiannan City and was predicted to be a peerless figure who would shake the Tianhan Continent in the future!

However, in the past ten years, he has hardly made any progress. At the age of sixteen, he is still stuck at the first level of martial artist. He has become a laughingstock of everyone in Tiannan City and is also the target of everyone's bullying in the family.

If it weren't for the fact that Lin Yang's father is the current head of the Lin family, he would have been expelled from the family tree.

After ten years of nourishment, the grandfather in the ring, who was once the number one alchemist on the continent, woke up.

He took Lin Yang as his apprentice and taught him martial arts and alchemy. He helped Lin Yang rise to prominence and become the strongest in the Tianhan Continent, breaking through the void and leaving behind an eternal legend.

However, Mo Qingkuang, who was currently dead, remains ignorant of Lin Yang's true destiny. After all, in his mind, how could he retreat when a beauty stood in front of him? Arrogantly, he had sworn to utterly cripple Lin Yang!

Lin Yang, with the help of his old man, was full of confidence. In front of everyone, he challenged Mo Qingkuang to a duel on the stage of the Yuan Sword Sect's disciple recruitment competition three months later.

Mo Qingkuang, who was at the peak of martial artist realm, didn't care about the challenge from Lin Yang, a first-grade trash. Lin Yang was just a fallen waste who had been ridiculed for ten years.

The Lin family was just a small power under the Mo family, and it was insignificant in Tiannan City.

However, in front of the beauty, he thought that he had to maintain his image, so he actually agreed.

As the number one prodigy in Tiannan City, he had already been promised a spot by the Yuan Sword Sect, so there was no need for him to participate in the disciple recruitment competition.

In order to crush all of Lin Yang's self-esteem, Mo Qingkuang forcefully participated in the disciple recruitment competition. He used his family's power to manipulate the competition so that he would face Lin Yang in the first round.

He wanted to crush Lin Yang in front of everyone on the stage, and let everyone know that this waste was not worthy to be his opponent!

In the end, since Lin Yang no longer needed to support his old man or rely on medicinal pills to assist him, his sky-grade aptitude was fully opened, and he broke through eight realms within three months, reaching the peak of martial artist realm!

Mo Qingkuang, witness to Lin Yang's unexpected power surge, was consumed by a toxic mix of shame and rage. In a desperate attempt to regain the upper hand, he resorted to a forbidden drug, forcibly crossing the threshold into the Pseudo Martial Master realm.

But brute force alone could not overcome true potential. With a single powerful punch, Lin Yang, the once underestimated underdog, defeated Mo Qingkuang, the arrogant bully. The crowd erupted in awe, while Mo Qingkuang, disgraced and his cultivation crippled by the illicit drug, lay gasping for breath, clinging to life.

Lin Yang's triumph extended beyond the duel. He dominated the disciple recruitment competition, earning his place as a Yuan Sword Sect disciple. Meanwhile, Mo Qingkuang, stripped of his cultivation and deemed worthless, saw his promised position within the sect snatched away.

The Mo family became the laughingstock of Tiannan City. Mo Qingkuang, his rise and fall now complete, faded into the background, another statistic in the obituary section.

Mo Fan, the author and creator of this entire Tianhan Continent, knew it wouldn't be long before this insignificant early antagonist would kick the bucket. From an invisible, godlike vantage point, he watched a wispy wisp of smoke rise from Mo Qingkuang's body.

It gradually coalesced in the air, forming a spectral figure that vaguely resembled the deceased. Mo Fan recognized it as Mo Qingkuang's soul, which was about to dissipate into oblivion.

Confused and lost, Mo Qingkuang's soul drifted, taking in the sight of his own pale, lifeless body on the bed, the attending physician, the servants, and his grief-stricken father, Mo Shan. A wave of sorrow washed over him.

"Am I dead?" Mo Qingkuang's brows furrowed as he looked around in confusion. His eyes were filled with deep hatred.

He was unwilling! He had been hailed as a genius since he was a child, with earth-grade talent. He had entered the martial path in half a year and reached the first-rank martial artist realm. After Lin Yang's fall, he had become the number one prodigy in Tiannan City!

But now, it was all over. Lin Yang had once again trampled him underfoot. The Yuan Sword Sect had also withdrawn its promise, and he was as good as dead. The Mo family had become the laughingstock of Tiannan City, and the Mo family would soon be extinct! What would happen to his father, who had always doted on him?

"Oh?" Mo Qingkuang suddenly looked up and saw Mo Fan floating not far in front of him. He was dressed in white, with a graceful bearing. His face looked somewhat similar to his own, especially around the eyes. The only difference was that he had a head full of white hair.

For some reason, Mo Qingkuang felt a sense of familiarity with this mysterious soul. He couldn't help but feel a sense of closeness to him.

"Who are you?" He looked at Mo Fan with a bewildered expression and asked softly.

Mo Fan looked at the person in front of him, who had just died not long ago and was supposedly many generations his descendant. "You scoundrel, I am your ancestor!"
