Golden Lucky city
Reaching golden lucky city wasn't that difficult. It was a giant city that was tightly guarded and normally it would've been impossible for William to enter it. But now something changed, he had tons of money now.
Paying off some guards so that they act like they have nothing seen would be super easy with all that money. Fighting Brutus was a real blessing, without so much money it would've taken ages to find a way to enter the city.
But now it was easy, after 2 days of travel di William finally reach the City. Luckily he was now faster then he was before entering the other world, otherwise it would've taken him weeks to get there. It seems like the system predicted all this happening.
After all why would the system give him a mission that he can't finish. It seems the devil and the system are even more powerful then William thought. But that wasn't important right now, William had a mission in front of him.
He paid off the guards at the city gate and entered the city, the guards didn't even ask questions it seems they were completely used to this. And that was Williams luck, if they didn't agree to getting paid of and tried to arrest him, then the entire plan would have failed.
But luckily those guards cared a lot about money. William bought a place to stay for a night in an inn and decided to rest there for now. Even if his body was stronger then before, he was still exhausted after traveling for such a long distance.
He decided to gather Information the next day in the city,this was important and nothing could go wrong. So he needed all the information he could get from the towns people and maybe guards depending how lucky he was.
The killers of his parents was the baron stoneguard family. A family that is extremely rich because of all the mines and slaves they own. All the slave camps near here belonged to this family, they were very rich and powerful.
But that wasn't enough information, William still had to gather more or else he would be fated to fail to avenge his parents. He needed to know things like the strength of there guards, and if there were any experts protecting them.
All of that was important information that William couldn't ignore. So William went to bed early and got outside in the city early in the morning. He started there to gather information and found out many things.
The lucky things for William was that the baron family had refused to join the military. They wanted to stay independent, that would limit there resources extremely. Giving William a chance to actually kill them.
The bad news where that there was an expert protecting them. From the information William could gather it seemed to be an old and evil cultivator. He was supposedly often seen kidnapping people, probably to help himself to become stronger.
Such techniques were despised but most people, but those techniques weren't illegal. In the eyes of the higher ups only strength mattered, so loosing a bunch of towns people was nothing if you got a strong cultivator in return.
But of course that cultivator seemed to have reached the end of his potential. Or he wouldn't waste his time being the bodyguard of the stoneguard family. That made William feel confident that he could deal with this person.
