2 CHAPTER 2

*At Breakfast

My Nanny informed me that when I passed out, everyone was startled.

Felicia Maris Valderrá, my current mother, summoned five doctors to investigate what had happened to me after I passed out in her arms. And I heard that my workaholic father abandoned his job as soon as he learned that I was unwell.

The doctors determined that I passed out due to the exhaustion I was experiencing as a result of the lessons this young body is learning. Even this young physique is exhausted from studying.

Well, I know it isn't true, but my mind is also fatigued from studying.

Since, the diagnosis was agreed by the five physicians my Mother has brought. My parents seems to believe in what they said.

"Dominique, I'm cutting your classes in half. Just choose the ones that you really like... Don't push yourself too much. I know that you really like studying but if it's affecting your health, Stop. Your health always comes first." The marquis, my father said.

"Listen to your father, You've been so excited to learn and even forced us to enroll you to each lessons you have everyday but please don't rush it. It's okay to learn slowly. Are you afraid that your peers would left you?" My mother asked.

True, according to my memories, this child is terrified of being left behind in class. She follows her peers' lead and learns from them. She began music, language, politics, history, and etiquette courses at the age of three, which is very usual for the young daughters and sons of nobles. But now that I'm in control of this body. I can't study every day like she did before; I need time to devise a strategy for surviving and living comfortably after I turn ten.

"No mother, I agree with Father. I will just take a few lessons every other day, ah no! is it much better if I just do it every weekend only?" I answered honestly.

My mother looked into my father and smiled.

"That's great! I will inform your teachers. Take your time to rest my angel." My mother said lovingly.

I can't believe they agreed on that. But the lesser distraction the better.

After that we just ate breakfast as usual according to my memories before my father goes to work and before my mother go prepare for the ladies gathering.

*My room

Now, onto my Plan!!!

I have asked my nanny to give me a pen and paper to write all of the details I can remember in the novel: Beatrice and the Crown Prince and create a plan in order to survive.

I am now 9 years old and I have a year left to execute my plan until my 10th birthday. I have to discuss this to my nanny and chef.

I recognized I was too thin for my age after seeing myself in the mirror. In this world, it appears to be quite normal, but not in mine. I also remembered and saw the cuisine I used to consume, which was always sweet. So, starting now, I should consume a lot of healthy, green vegetables in order for my body to become strong and resist the cold!

But there's more.

My presence and death appear to play a significant role in this story. If I didn't die like in the novel, I'm sure there would be consequences and a domino effect. If I live through my tenth birthday, the original story will not begin because it was started after my death. I feel like I should be the one to take care of this. If I don't die, my mother and father will not adopt Beatrice, and I don't want to spoil that. After all, this is my favorite book.

After thinking and thinking and thinking, I now have my final plan in my hands.

*In paper

Dominique's Plan to Survive

1. Eat a lot of healthy Foods to be Healthy.

2. Go on an Exercise and be Strong.

3. Save my Monthly Allowance.

4. Convince my Nanny to buy a House in A Village.

5. Survive Cold in my Tenth Birthday and Escape.

This is my plan for surviving both myself and the storyline of the original novel. This is the most logical approach I've come up with to allow Beatrice and myself to coexist in this world. Even though I'm saddened that I'll have to leave my current family, a part of me is so used to being alone that I believe I'll be able to live alone again. I'm hoping that I'll be able to do this successfully and that nothing unpleasant will occur to derail my plans.

Now that my plan is complete, all I have to do is behave like the marquis' ideal daughter. Attend tea parties, pass my classes, and be the sweetest daughter for a year.

*knock, knock

I quickly hide my paper under the bed.

"Come in!" I loudly said.

"Miss, a letter for you came." My nanny said and hand me the letter.

I opened the letter immediately to see it's contents.

It was an Invitation to a children's tea party in the palace. Together with the royals and other nobles.

My pale face got paler.

What the hell.

I know I just said that I will behave like the ideal marquis daughter. But I can't attend this event.

I don't wish to meet the novel's young characters. Since this is an invitation to the palace, I'm sure they'll show up. But meeting them as a youngster makes me feel really uncomfortable. I used to have a crush on one of the male leads. That's why I'm not interested in seeing them right now; I'll just wait until they're older! I may appear to be a child, but I am a 19-year-old on the inside.

"Miss what does it say? Are you invited on an event?" My nanny asked.

"I'm invited to the palace." I answered.

My nanny seemed happy and excited.

"But I'm not going." I added to my answer.

"What? Miss why? That is an important event, that not everyone can be invited. Why don't you want you want to attend?" Nanny asked.

"Don't tell this to mom, But I don't want to meet the other kids because they are bullying me." I just made that up.

My nanny's face was surprised.

"Promise?" I asked her to make a deal with me.

"But Miss Madam and the Marquis must be informed..." she concernedly said.

"Please promise, you wont tell it to Mother, were just kids I don' want to make a big deal out of it. I'll just avoid them for now." said with puppy cute eyes by the greatest liar today in the residence.

"Okay Miss I promise." Nanny promised.

"Instead of attending, can you just accompany me next week? I wanna see and explore the village with you!" moves by the plan master so that she can see houses she could buy.

"That Miss, I can't it's too dangerous." Nanny explained.

"Let's bring some guards! I'm just going to go sight seeing, please agree!" I said.

"We can do that but we have to inform the madam first." She explained.

"No! Please keep it a secret. She'll never agree with this." I said.

"Miss I'm sorry we can't go out without informing the madam, You just got a recovery from your slumber." Nanny said.

"Okayyy..." I said while making a fake sad face.

Urgh. She's so strict how can I make her buy a house for me.

I should level up my game.

"I just want to see the outside world. I've always been inside the mansion. I wonder if the kids in the village is much kinder than the nobles child. I just want to make friends that will not bully me." I said sadly while she was leaving.

She ran to me fast and whispered, "Okay miss, I'll accompany you but only for an hour and we have to bring three guards with us."

"Yehey! Thank you Ana!" I hugged her after.

heh. my plan will finally start. I have to find a house that I can ask Ana to buy later.

"Also, Ana could you bring this to the chef?" I handed her, a meal plan that is poorly written since I have to act that my intellectual is like nine yrs old.

"What is this Miss?" she asked.

"It's my meal plan, I have read in books that in order for me to not faint again, I have to eat a lot of healthy food so I can grow up without getting sick again. I hate fainting and being sick." I innocently said.

I'm sure my nanny's heart just melted, she can't say no to a weak child like me.

Sorry Ana, but I have to deceive you to follow my plan. It's for the best of everyone.

She asked me if it's okay to hug me after that. Then she has proceeded to give my meal plan to the chef. I'll just let her to do all the talking since they can understand her better.

When Ana left, I picked up all of my papers and hide it in the deepest part of my closet.
