Round Two (1)

Round Two (1)

* * *

Throughout the day, Sans kept glancing at Origami, his gaze lingering on her longer than on anyone else.

Shido noticed this and couldn't help but feel uneasy.

He remembered the fierce battle where Sans had fought both Origami and the Spirit called Princess.

Why was Sans so focused on Origami now? What was he planning?

Shido's mind raced with questions.

He tried to focus on his classes, but his thoughts kept drifting back to Sans and his unsettling grin.

He felt a knot of anxiety in his stomach, a sense of foreboding that he couldn't shake.

During lunch, Shido watched as Sans continued to observe Origami.

She, however, seemed unfazed, her expression as unreadable as ever.

Shido wondered if she was aware of Sans's attention and what she thought about it.

Finally, as the school day came to an end, Origami stood up and walked over to Sans's desk.

"Sans, can I talk to you outside?" she asked calmly.

Shido's heart pounded in his chest.

He knew Origami was direct and didn't mince words, but he couldn't help but worry about what might happen next.

He watched as Sans nodded and followed Origami out of the classroom.

Curiosity got the better of him, and Shido quietly trailed behind them, keeping a safe distance.

He had to know what this was about. As he reached the hallway, he could hear their voices.

Origami stopped in a secluded spot and turned to face Sans.

Shido strained to hear their conversation, expecting her to confront him about the past battle or ask about his intentions at the school.

But what he heard next took him completely by surprise.

"I have no interest in you," Origami said bluntly, her tone devoid of emotion. "And I don't want to go out with you."

Sans blinked, clearly taken aback. "What?"

"I noticed you looking at me the entire day," Origami continued.

"If you're trying to get my attention because you think I might be interested in you, you're mistaken."

Shido's jaw dropped.

This wasn't at all what he had expected.

Origami had completely misinterpreted Sans's intentions, thinking he was interested in her romantically.

Sans stifled a laugh, despite the tension of the situation.

"You misunderstand," he said, his voice steady.

"I wasn't looking at you because of any romantic interest. I was observing you for... different reasons."

Origami raised an eyebrow. "Different reasons?"

"Yes," Sans replied, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"But it seems we both have our own misconceptions to clear up."

'What the heck is she talking about?' I thought, utterly bewildered by Origami's blunt rejection.

I had been looking at her because it was surreal to see a character I had only seen on screen in real life.

Her presence was just... cool.

But Origami had completely misunderstood my intentions.

After our brief and confusing exchange, Origami left and went back to class, leaving me standing there, still processing what had just happened.

I followed her back to the classroom, my mind spinning with thoughts.

Classes dragged on, each minute feeling like an eternity.

Finally, the school day came to an end, and the final bell rang.

Everyone packed up their things and left, but I decided to stay behind.

I needed some time to gather my thoughts.

As the classroom emptied out, I leaned back in my chair, staring at the ceiling.

The day's events replayed in my mind—Origami's unexpected confrontation, and the constant feeling of unease that seemed to hang in the air.

Just as I was beginning to relax, a loud bang echoed from somewhere down the hall.

I shot to my feet, heart pounding.

What was that?

Without thinking, I headed toward the source of the noise.

As I approached the classroom where the sound had come from, I reached for the door, but before I could open it, a bolt of purple light blasted through, forcing me to teleport out of the way just in time.

"Shit!" I muttered, my heart racing from the close call.

I managed to avoid the attack, but the force of it left a scorch mark on the wall where I had been standing.

Inside, I saw Shido and...

"Tohka!"

My eyes widened in recognition.

Shido and Tohka in a classroom…

This must be the scene where Shido gives Tohka her name.

The outside wall of the classroom was blown out, debris scattered everywhere, and chaos reigned as a rain of bullets shot toward Tohka.

"AST." I thought, recognizing the anti-spirit team immediately.

Tohka swung her sword with fierce determination, leaving a trail of purple light with each strike.

She was protecting Shido with what looked like a barrier, deflecting the onslaught of bullets aimed at them.

I decided to stay back for now and watch.

Tohka was handling the AST units with impressive skill, her barrier providing a haven for both her and Shido.

The intensity of the battle was palpable, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety as I observed.

But then, a bullet came straight toward me.

My reflexes kicked in, and I managed to dodge it.

"It's him!" one of the ast members shouted from above. "Code name UNKOWN!"

"Looks like I've got a code name," I said to myself with a smirk, feeling a surge of adrenaline.

I teleported into the air above the AST units and summoned my blasters, floating mid-air.

My eyes burst into blue flames as I looked down at the scene below—Tohka, Origami, and the AST units.

"Time for round two."

I was busy for a while so I didn’t have time to write.

But now I’m back!!
