" Haha.. its always easy to talk with intelligent people. My condition is rather simple. Aoki kun, I want you to join Anbu corps and essentially become my direct subordinate."

The reply was somewhat unexpected but it was not the first time the old man asked me to join anbu either.

" Not possible. You should know by now that I wont agree to this condition. Think of something else. " I replied almost instantly because there was no need to even consider this option.

" Well I expected such reply from you but can you at least think about my offer? If you become the anbu commander, then it will be easy to access the knowledge of forbidden techniques and many more advanced knowledge in the village's database."

" Dont act like you dont know anything old man. If I join the anbu, I wont have much freedom and will be busy completing missions assigned by you personally all the time. I prefer the current situation because I choose missions of my choice most of the times."

" Sigh.. you are really stubborn. Aoki , what do you think about the current situation of the village ? I'm asking for your honest opinion."

I creased my eyebrows listening to the authoritative tone of the old man in the end. Still I did not understand the intentions of the old man behind asking such a question from me. What do I think about the current situation of the village ? It was of course bad in my opinion but I also knew that everything ended well in the anime. My being here would definitely mess up the cannon to some extent so I was not sure about the changes in future events due to the butterfly effect though.

" Well I think that our situation is fine. It's true that our military power is currently definitely inferior to Kumogakure or if possible Iwagakure but in the near future that will not remain the case anymore."

" Oh? and what is the reason behind the confidence behind your statement?"

Reason? Of course it's my knowledge that Tsunade will become Hokage and then Naruto and Sasuke will literally surpass Hashirama in the Fourth Shinobi war. Well it was anime knowledge and I could not possibly tell it to the old man. But there was one more reason behind my confidence though.

" My reason is that I will surpass all the Kages in future. " I said with a confident smirk.

Sandaime widened his eyes in surprise for a second because he did not expect such an answer from Aoki. He was also taken aback by the confidence with which Aoki said that he would surpass all the current Kages.

Aoki on the other hand was calm as his confident statement was on the basis of his vast potential . He also had Mastered the Flying Thunder God jutsu so he could survive most of the situations. He was sure that right now , there was no one in the Elemental Nations who could kill him. In the future, the Six paths Madara and Kaguya could do that but at that time, Aoki would also have reached an insane level of strength so he was not that worried. One had to know that Aoki had reached low Kage level stats in this short period of time and combined with his current skills , he could fight any Kage level individual present in the Elemental Nations. So he will definitely get many times stronger till the time comes when the Fourth Shinobi war will start.

Naturaly Sandaime had no idea about this though. But Aoki also had no idea of what Sandaime thought of him.

Sandaime actualy had a good reason why he wanted Aoki to join anbu. It was because he planned to groom Aoki as a future Hokage candidate. He could not be blamed to think about this because Aoki had shown that he had the potential. All the A ranks completed by Aoki were soloed by him and Sandaime knew what strength was needed to perform that feat.

From reading the mission reports , Sandaime also knew that Aoki had fought many elite jounin class enemies and they were definitely not alone. Aoki had still defeated all of them and Sandaime could tell from this information that Aoki's skills were great but his endurance and chakra capacity were also top notch.

Simply put Sandaime could tell that Aoki had great potential. In Sandaime's opinion Aoki was a gem which he could polish.

But the last comment of Aoki had Samdaime worried that the young man he thought so highly of may be becoming overconfident of his abilities. Sandaime thus became worried and came to a decision. ' Looks like I will have to teach this brat a lesson and shatter his overconfidence now so that it wont become his undoing in future..'

Well the old man was wise but he had no idea that he would be in a huge surprise during their fight.
