I Became Her

The boss examine the lady who stand with the teenager boy. He immediately knew that she is rich based on how she dress and also the two maids beside her who are following her. " Is this diamond on my dress real? " Daniella whispered. " Of course your higness, royalties never wear fake." one of the maids proudly said. Daniella took a piece of button in her dress that is a diamond. "This is enough? " Daniella said. The people surrounding her murmured in disbelief as they saw the diamond as a payment to the expired bread. " Your higness, that is bit--" the maid said unfinished. " We did not bring cash right? " Daniella ask. The boss is so happy with the diamond that he forgot about the teenager boy.

Daniella help the teenager boy to stand and pat the sand on his clothes. " You help me this time and then what? He will do it again next time, maybe not to me but to someone who is looking for work just to eat. " the teenager said. Daniella sighed thinking that the boy is right. " Everyone have their own problem, right now you are lucky that you have met me. Regarding for the next person who will be his victim, we can rely on God. " she said.

The tummy of the teenager boy growled indicating that he is hungry. " I am going to eat anyway, come with us first before going home." Daniella offered. Ben smiled but then he became sad " I don't have the right to eat good food while my sisters and brothers are hungry at home. I am sorry miss but can you just give me money to buy food? " Ben have determination in his eyes. Daniella did not give a second thought, she remove another diamond button from her clothes and give it to Ben. " I will not forget you miss , for you are the only person who believe me and help my sisters and brothers. What is your name ? " Ben ask. " She is lady Layla." the maid is proud for her lady. " I am Ben. One day when the time allows, I will surely give back what I owe. My lady Layla." Ben smiled confidently. Daniella smiled and approve.

The sun is already down the moment Daniella arrive in the palace. She is walking going to her room when she met Blake on the way. She plans to ignore him like how he was doing but he broke the silence. " I heard you go out of the palace? ... So it is true." he said in a cold voice. " The last time you went out of the palace, someone died. " his expression darkened. Daniella sense his dangerous aura. She did not meet his gaze. "Aisha went back to the opposite kingdom and you did not even bother to send her , I can see you become bolder and bolder. " Blake said. Danielle remain silent. Blake decided to pass through her .

After Daniella learn all the history of Layla and Blake she avoided him. She doesn't know what will he do to Layla the moment he notice that the Layla before is diffirent to Layla now. For now surviving inside the palace and not alarming the enemies is her game. She doesn't know until when but she became anxious the moment she think about the other world, her world.

Daniella is combing her wet hair when she accidentally drop comb and roll under the bed. She squat to get the comb until she notice a small treasure box beside the comb where she pick it.

She open the treasure box and she found a notes, a thick notes that can form a book out of it is arrange,together with the pen. The first page have a name Lyka and the second page seems like stories about herself. "It seems like a diary, Lyka ..." she read it clearly. " Lyka? .... maybe a friend of this Layla character? " she ask herself. She put the treasure box infront of the mirror and continue to brush her hair because she was feeling sleepy.

" These rebels! " King Sven the second , father of Layla. "Father please you must refrain yourself..." crown prince Sven the third express how worried he is to his father. " They are now becoming bolder and bolder , how dare they killed the innocents ." King Sven jaw tightened. He just received the news that the rebels killed all the people in the village near the border , when the soldiers came , they found corpse of children, women and even babies. Crown prince Sven is worried about the health of his father who is now very ill because of his age. King Sven's face is pale and whoever see him will immediately notice how his weight decrease. " Father maybe it is time to get our soldiers in the opposite kingdom, we need more men in the border." prince Sven suggested. " I sent those soldiers to protect and train the opposite kingdom. If the enemy knew that we have removed the elite soldiers, I knew they will take this chance to conquer that land. Knowing that your sister is there, I cannot take the risk." King Sven explained while coughing. " The elite soldiers, the best trained soldiers. Not only in fighting but also learned the art of war therefore they have knowledge about strategy." Crown prince thought. The elite soldiers were formed after the marriage of King Sven to the queen . He personally chosed who will be part of it and train them to be the best of best. Sometimes they can work in shadows but most of them contributes in conquering other nations. In present, their kingdom is the widest among kingdoms and feared by all because of how tyrant and smart King Sven is. But now that he is old and have a terminal disease that anytime he will die, enemy will take the chance to kill his entire blood line.

" How do you explain this?!" Blake is angry . " But-- I --- " Daniella tried to explain ." I entrust you all the the matter in the palace! Don't tell me now you don't even want to work anymore!" Blake is dissappointed. She closed in eyes to suppressed her anger. Blake found out that a big amount of money is missing in the account and the one incharge of the account is Lady Layla. For the past days Daniella did not check because she is busy on thinking how to go back home." So now you dare to prove that you are corrupt." Blake spoke in anger. Then Daniella rememberes that she is not the only person who is incharge of the things in the palace. " I am not the only person who is doing the task in the palace. Dare to ask your two concubines?" She said. " So you will point at them for your mistakes? So what's next? You will point at them for the murder that you did?" Blakes stated. Daniella felt that Blake is attacking her personally but how can she explain that she is not her. Will he even believe? He will think that she is just finding excuses for everything or the worst case scenario is he will find this chance to kill the body of Layla that Daniella is missing. Now she knew that everything is complicated and not easy as she have read in the novel. If she wants to survive she must plan carefully. Now she knew someone wants to harm her in the palace. " Oh how could I am not surprise, knowing that this character is a villain, of course everybody wants to hurt her. " Daniella thought.

" Let me warn you your higness, this time I will not just watch your evil actions but punish you. " Blake warn dangerously. Daniella smiled. " Killing me slowly huh? " she said. Blake eyebrows burrow. " There is a saying , killing someone slowly is better than killing it fast." she invented. " And your point is ?" Blake pretend. " If I let you punish me , would that be enough to ease your anger? " Daniella try her luck to hurt his ego. Blake smiled in evil way " If I see you die, then you can say I forgive you. You're suffering means nothing to me." He stated .Daniella is scared on how deep his hatred towards her . It seems it is true that Layla killed his beloved woman. Daniella being quiet decided to go out of the room. " And one more thing, I will do everything in my power to punish you for all your wrongdoing . " He speaks coldly. Daniella thought that staying with him in the palace is a suicide, now she understand even if she will do nothing like she's doing in her world he will still find fault with her.

One day , Blake recieve a secret message that King Sven will visit the kingdom personally five days from now to check the training of the soldiers.

" King Sven will personally come to the kingdom to check the training of the soldiers in case you didn't know. " Blake spoke first. They under a tree near the palace. Daniella panick " How will I act infront of my so called father that I never meet my entire life? " she thought. " I don't know why you wanted to marry me in the first place but if you wants to stay in this marriage then you should know how to behave infront of your father. " Blake hinted. Deep inside Daniella is hurt knowing that Blake hated his so called father.

" There was a rumor that King Sven have a plan to masscre this kingdom if the marriage did not happen in the first place." Flora, one of the personal maid of Daniella. " It seems that this King Sven is one of a real deal character." Daniella thought. " Dealing with Blake and everyone here in the palace is already exhausting , now another character appeared and none other than the father of this Layla. " Daniella sighed.

Somewhere out there, " You mean to harm the princess? " the voice of a man with a malice intention. " If the King of the opposite kingdom finds out that his beloved daughter is missing , who do you think will be the suspect ? Knowing that the prince did not really care for the princess, I doubt he would care even if we harm her." the hoarse voice of a man . " But the whole kingdom will be in trouble..." the other man said. " That would be better. We cannot let them trust each other..." the man with the hoarse voice said.

As usual Daniella went out of the palace to learn things outside the palace , these past days she met some people who became close to her. And she learns about some stories about the kingdom and the royal family. As she believes " Some things you need to know are outside the palace." . The days she spent in the palace are like prison. She feels like someone is watching her move, only when going outside she felt like she's truly free.

It is already night when Daniella decided to go back to the palace , they are inside the carriage when the horse suddendly stop. Flora went out to check the coachman and ask what is going on but she saw him hit by an arrow in his heart. " Your higness we need to go down... --" Flora immediately inform Daniella.

The three of them went to the trees to run because five men wearing black like a ninja are running after them. For the first time of her life, Daniella is running for her life literally. She runs until she felt like losing her breath then she stop, noticing that her two maids were not there with her. She knew she cannot shout but she cannot go back either. She heard the sound of a river. She is thirsty so she decided to follow the sound of the water , she then discovered a falls.

Daniella is drinking water when she hear a footsteps. She is scared to be discovered by that someone so she ran towards the rock behind the falls. Whoever is following her cannot see her there since it is night and the water from the falls is covering her since she is behind it.

Daniella discovered that in the middle of the rocks there is a space that she can enter. She enter towards it and walk straight. After fifteen minutes of walking she stop when she arrives at a wide space enough to call it a cave.
