36 Chapter 36

We were so immersed in our discussions it was already night. With what we had started, we did not have any intentions of stopping now though. We spent the next three weeks tackling and creating seals for our 'theoretical' endeavor.

To attempt something like that would require massive amounts of power, hence the augmentation part. Natural energy would be a huge boost to something like that. It made me wonder though, if I truly had intended to attempt it on the Juubi, would it have worked, considering the Juubi itself was an embodiment of natural energies?

In the three weeks, I gave the siblings several ideas on jutsus concerning their bloodline limits I felt they could use. It should not be easy, but they were inspired by a lot of the ideas and busied themselves with them after their spars with Mebuki, with me adding to the mix occasionally.

She had taken it upon herself to train them to help them gain more battle experience and it was safe to say, they were traumatized. As petty as it might seem, I was glad I was no longer the only person to be traumatized by that monster.

After the three weeks, I could finally confidently say I had officially broken through the basics and already at the peak of intermediate level of seals mastery. Ok, maybe not the peak of it; Ken laughed when he heard me say that. But I was definitely close. I know, crazy right? His notes had already given me a huge boost, the actual person teaching me, clearing most of my doubts and confusions only solidified my mastery to a greater level.

Sadly, it was finally time to leave. I had truly enjoyed myself these past few weeks but it was time to return to Konoha.

"Take it easy old man. Don't drink too much. Your thing would stop working you know?" Standing at the entrance of the sealed forest bidding our farewells. I had to admit, I was going to miss the drunk red head.

"And what would you know about something like that? Hurry up and leave already." He sneered at me in response while taking another sip from his gourd.

"You say that but you know you'll miss us. Such a tsundere at your age. Don't forget to come visit." I did not wait for his response before walking through the trap forests. Mebuki nodded to him before following after me. The twins bowed to their master before leaving as well.

Uzumaki Ken stood there with a smirk on his face before downing a large amount from his gourd. His thoughts unknown to no one but himself and the author. Maybe the author himself did not even know.

I stood outside the traps waiting for the others to arrive. I did not wait long before the others joined me shortly after. The siblings looked like they had finally tasted freedom after a long time of incarceration. Almost as if they were now seeing the sun after such a long time.

The journey back to Konoha took us four days. Why we moved at such speeds was baffling to me. I was truly hoping we could take our time on the journey back but we were rushed the entire time, barely stopping to rest.

We finally had a change of pace when we saw the gates of Konoha from afar. The large gates oddly enough, actually gave a feeling of grandeur especially with the 'AN' character on the open gates of Konoha which meant Hidden. A shame the whole place was just too scheming.

Maybe I was being too prejudiced about Konoha. Which place wasn't? Scheming or not, you could not deny that this village was a relatively peaceful one, with quite the number of resources, compared to the Sand and Mist Villages.

Seeing Aoi and Kouki both nervous and excited, I was glad they would be spending their time in Konoha. I was not worried either, I had no doubt the slave driver would make sure they never lost their step.

We walked through the gates without any query from the guards. Was it because they already knew us or had they been informed of our arrival? My question was answered when an Anbu approached us the moment we were spotted. He had on a bear mask and had quite the large build.

The Anbu Black OPS were the Special Assassination and Tactical Squad of the village, responsible for covert operations. Each village had its own version of Anbu and were only dispatched by the Kage, taking on special high-level missions such as assassinations. The Anbu were usually recruited due to their special abilities, regardless of their age or former rank in the village. This was testament to Kakashi and Itachi being recruited at young ages. They wore their masks in the village as the identity of the Anbu Operative was only known by the Kage and village elders.

"The Hokage would like to see you in his office." The Anbu operative spoke indicating for us to follow him. None of us spared him a glance as we just continued to walk, completely ignoring his presence.

'*sigh*. Just as we got to the village and this woman is about to cause trouble. Can you at least please not ignore the man?' I felt a headache coming on that made me massage the bridge of my nose.

I could see the Anbu about to lose his cool when finally, she spoke, "Sakura, you go see the Hokage while I go rest."

"Huh? Are you trying to pick a fight, old lady? I absolutely refuse. Why do you get to go rest and I don't?" After spending so much time with her, I naturally understood her by now. She really loved the roundabout way of doing things, and I had to admit, I too had come to enjoy it.

We continued on silently right after our little banter, once again completely ignoring the poor mask wearing man. Looking at his body language, he looked ready to throw a punch. Maybe his intention was to restrain us with force before sending us to his precious Hokage.

'Oh. I might finally be able to properly test out my new passive jutsu. I have not really had someone I could test it on.' I became a little expectant of the big bear, hoping he would give into his impulse and attack.

A while had passed and he continued to stand there without taking action, even after we had walked a distance away. A little more later, he finally disappeared with the flicker, probably to report to the Third Hokage.

"Such a shame, I was looking forward to him attacking. Maybe I should have given him a little push." We continued on in silence but I could tell Aoi and Kouki had also been hoping the Anbu agent would have attacked. Presumably wanting to test their levels against someone other than me and the two monsters they had come to know.

I am still far from their levels but I know with the rate at which my body was automatically improving, it was only a matter of time. 'Haha. My beautiful OP life.'
