22 Chapter 22

[A/N: Ok, allow me to make a little noise here before we dive on to the chapter. I have seen a few reviews and comments and i had intended on ignoring the negativity but just let me say something real quick. Most that i see are mostly people trashing the fanfic because something was changed or is different from the original. Allow me to say IT'S A FRIGGING FANFIC. What's the point of it being a fanfic if as an Author, we cannot change things. If you want nothing to change then go read the original manga. Second, some seem to hate the fact that in the first few chapters the MC is not already eating dragon flesh and pulling down skies. There are a lot of other novels and fanfics out there with that kind of plot; I could even recommend a few if you like. Reading a novel or fanfic means to follow the MC on his wise, dumb and ugly journey. That is what reading is, not what you want the MC to do. If that is what you want, then write yours; Very simple. Some are just plain hating the novel just because it is Sakura. To them i say; Grow up. My MC is not some reborn Uchiha clan member or some Uzumaki or some Senju. My MC is Haruno Sakura, Civilian Born. I am using the abilities Kishimoto-sensei gave to her and writing based on mine and my friends' theories with my own added twists. If you dont like it, just quit reading. Thank you all for your time, the comments and constructive criticisms. Thank you for reading this. Enjoy the chapter]

The goon leader saw this as a chance and with all his might, threw his machete at me. 'With such blood loss I am doomed to die anyway. But I will definitely take you with me you little bitch!' Is what he was thinking as he smiled victoriously watching the machete travel towards its intended target, me.

Before I could realize what was happening the machete was only a few inches away from my face. My body would not listen to me as I could not move one bit. I tried so hard to at least raise the kunai in my hand to try to parry it but I could barely feel them.

I had been running on adrenalin so I had not noticed. I had thrown the kunais for so long my arms were already numb. I could not believe it. Not even a week and I was about to die.

The blade was already centimeters away from my face. I refused to close my eyes as I saw the victorious grin on the goon leader's face. 'Shit.' Was all I could think. I felt it was a terrible last thought.

The pain I was expecting did not come. The blade stopped right on my forehead, even drawing blood. "And that is what you get for letting down your guard" A voice rang out from beside me.

Looking up I saw Mebuki smiling at me. During the course of our battle, her presence had been completely erased and both the goon leader and I had honestly completely forgotten about her. It was no wonder he had the guts to actually throw the machete at me intending to kill me. And it was no wonder I had given up, thinking I was about to die.

Tears streamed down my face without control. I lived. I learned a beautiful lesson, and damned this woman; Could she not have caught the blade sooner?

'Fine, I am too tired to argue with her anyway.' My body was shaking and the tears continued to flow. I was just about to die. Such was the world I lived in. I truly needed to get strong quick.

"Negative 10." Mebuki's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"You get -10 points." She smiled happily.

"How the hell did I get there?"

"Battle awareness and strategy: -5 points. You did well to adapt quickly and turned it into a battle of attrition when you saw your chance, but you let down your guard and almost died, that is why you get -5 points. Battle instincts are all wrong: -2 points. You could have easily used body flicker to appear behind him and finish the battle quickly, or use it to toy with him and wear him out before finishing him. For not using the most efficient method to win the battle: -3 points. So altogether, -10 points. Ah just so you know this is how I'll be grading you from now on. Every negative you earn is one extra hour training you owe me. That means now you owe me 10 hours of extra training."

My mouth was wide open. I truly could not believe it. What kind of double spartan training was she trying to implement? My training had yet to officially begin and I was already owing 10 hours of it?

"Wait, how many hours are you intending to train me in a day?" She did not answer but only smiled which honestly terrified me. I was actually more terrified than me almost dying right now and I think it just cured my trauma of almost dying.

The goon leader's face was extremely pale. It was not mainly due to the loss of blood. It was the terror that had taken over. He truly had forgotten about the monster by the side. He had fought so hard for his life that he had forgotten quickly she was still around, and what's worse was that he actually tried to kill her daughter.

He wished she would just kill him and end it but he knew very well he might not get his wish. He saw her walk slowly towards him and he immediately lost control of all bodily function. But how could he even care about that?

"You lost." Those words sounded like judgment. He lifted his head slowly to see the demon smiling down at him. She moved over to the four knocked out goons and picked one of them. She jabbed her finger into his neck and woke him up.

The scene he awoke to frightened him so much. He did not even know how he came to be in such a situation. One moment he stood behind their leader, then darkness, then he suddenly saw his leader kneeling in what looked like piss, staring terrified at the woman from before.

'What is happening?' He could not move. He was only awake but could not move his body no matter how much he tried.

"Sakura, come here." I walked slowly to her. I had a feeling I knew what was about to happen. I knew I would have to do it eventually, especially since I had grand goals. So I had been mentally preparing for it.

"Alright, that is close enough." I became confused. Was she not about to tell me to kill? Or was I mistaken?

She picked up a kunai suddenly and stabbed him in the chest, dragging it all the way down to his stomach, spilling guts and blood all over the ground as the man screamed out in pain and plea. My stable body began to shake once more as I threw up all over the ground, turning my head away. I may have seen such things in horror films back on earth but never had I personally witnessed such a gruesome scene before. Nothing, absolutely nothing, prepares you for it.

She did that without a single change in expression. "Do not look away Sakura. LOOK AT ME!" I forced myself to turn, looking back at the sight. Blood had splashed on her face, making her look terrifying, yet her expression was the same as when she cut the man open.

"This is our world Sakura. You either have the strength to live, or be weak and have your fate decided for you and you die. Even huddling up in groups and villages will not help you." She walked to another goon and picked him up, before walking back and waking him up just like the first goon.

The blood instantly terrified him into screaming before passing out once more. That did not matter to her as she continued to speak, "Earlier these fools said they had already passed by a village. What do you think has happened to that village, huh? What do you think would have happened to us if we, no, I was not strong enough to protect us?" Her hand turned black and gripped the head of the passed-out goon as she began to pull. The pain must have woken him as he began to scream hysterically.

The sound of muscle and flesh tearing, the desperate screams of the victim made my stomach turn. I could not throw up anymore even if I wanted to. I knew she was right and I knew what she was trying to do for me. I already knew and understood all she was saying. I had already known since the moment I realized which world I was in. Yet, no matter how mentally prepared I was, I was not prepared for such a sight.
