Chapter 45 Goblin (Rewritten)

Jin Wei and Kaiya were now exploring the dungeon, unaware that the military was planning to send people to their rescue.

Although Jin Wei expected the military to send someone to rescue them, he didn't anticipate it happening so soon. It seems he underestimated everyone's fear of Captain Aurora.

But they are already far from the entry portal, so the rescue team won't be able to find them quickly.

Although they have been exploring the dungeon for a while, they haven't encountered any monsters.

As Jin Wei pondered the reason for not encountering any monsters despite their extended exploration, he sensed something and both of them stopped moving further.

His Vampiric senses were telling him that there were other living beings nearby, although they didn't smell like humans, they were not far from it; it's just that they smelled more like a mixture of pig and human.

But for some reason, even with his night vision, he couldn't find any other creatures around him. Either his sense of smell has gone awry, or the enemy possesses exceptional stealth skills.

Just as he was thinking about a way to deal with the enemies, his vampiric sense kicked in, and just in time, he moved his head a little and then noticed a sharp, rough-looking knife struck the tree beside him.

"Kaiya, be alert! We have been surrounded," Jin Wei shouted hurriedly, realizing that the enemy was not here to play around and had already shown themselves.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, five small, ferocious-looking green monsters with pointy ears came into view. All five of them surrounded both Kaiya and Jin Wei from all directions, indicating there was no way out except to kill them.

Hearing Jin Wei shout, Kaiya grew slightly nervous but quickly regained her composure, determined not to be a burden in this situation. Both Kaiya and Jin Wei then took out their weapons, while Kaiya activated her ability, which allowed her to locate all the goblins' positions.

Any normal human would be terrified by now if they were in the position of Jin Wei and Kaiya, but neither of them looked tense, on the contrary, Jin Wei was somewhat excited as it was his first time-fighting beings that he previously thought nothing but fantasy.

Kaiya's head was filled with determination to assist Jin Wei in any way possible, so the thought of fear didn't even cross her mind for a single second at this moment.

"Growl ~!"

"Jie, jeiiiii~"(food, woman) one of the goblins growled while other goblins just began to drool, eyeing both Jin Wei and Kaiya.

All the goblins were wearing torn skirt-like dresses made from the skin of some kind of beast, barely concealing their aroused state due to Kaiya's presence.

Goblins have only two thoughts in their mind, food and sex. They are extremely lustful beings, even more than humans.

Goblins can have intercourse with any race they want, and the product would always be a male goblin child. In this race, there is no such thing as a female goblin, regardless of the race with which they mate, the offspring will always be male goblins.

It's akin to mating with a ewe or even a large fish, and only after a month or two, more than 5 goblins will be born from that same mother, regardless of the race. Even though they can reproduce from any race they like, still their favorite is the humanoid race.

(A\N: It's like this, I can eat meat, fish, or vegetables, but my favorite is meat, and if there is meat I won't even look at the other two, let alone think about eating them.)

Their reproduction rate is extremely high, and they also grow up in a short period, but still, goblins usually don't live for long, Bronze-rank goblins have a lifespan of around 5-7 years. Silver-rank can live up to 10-12 years. Gold-rank can live up to 15-17 years and so on.

And Gold-rank is the limit of a goblin's growth. For them to rank up, they must evolve and become hobgoblins, which are large-sized goblins with strength similar to an Orc of the same rank. They can live up to 100 years. Although it's a huge change, this is what it is.

It's the law of nature: although goblins were blessed with a high reproduction rate, their lifespan became very short in exchange.

Vampires, on the other hand, are an immortal race with extraordinary strength; they can live forever if not killed. Due to this, their reproduction rate is extremely low.

Every year only 9-10 vampires are born in the whole Nocturna planet, and even that's very high, compared to some races in the universe who are born so strong that to make a balance only 3-4 being from their race are allowed to exist, and the universe would try it's best so that the number won't exceed more than that.

But that's a thought for another time. Now, back to the present.

Both Jin Wei and Kaiya were surrounded by 5 ferocious-looking goblins, they were looking at Kaiya with a lustful gaze and at Jin Wei as if he was a tasty meal.

They were hiding to hunt some normal beast or even other goblins from another group, but they never expected to find both food and women at the same time.

For them, it's their lucky day, as what can two do against a group of five? That's how their small mind works, although not too intelligent but enough to not be called a mindless beast.

Looking at their gaze, Jin Wei got extremely disgusted and promised himself to kill these things as fast as possible.
