Chapter 38 Flash back (part 1)

Five girls were surrounding Kaiya inside a storage room. Kaiya's face was full of bruises, indicating just how much she had suffered. While all five were just grinning at her sorry state.

"Hehehe, you bitch, you should have looked when you were walking!" A tanned girl with long blonde hair said in a mix of anger and satisfaction, as she tightly held onto Kaiya's hair.

"Kekeke, ohhh, I forgot you can't even see!!! Hahaha!!!" The tanned girl said as she tightened her grip, making Kaiya growl in pain.

Seeing her in pain, all the other girls just laughed in satisfaction as they were enjoying seeing Kaiya in misery.

Kaiya didn't know why she was being treated like this. Her whole life was a misery.

Kaiya was born into a slum, and she was congenitally blind. Her father was a drug addict, who was unable to cultivate. So he always beat her and her mother up, whenever he felt frustrated.

But her mother was a kind woman, even after getting beaten up almost every day she didn't leave her father and ran away, leaving her alone. Both of them endured and endured, until one day, her father ran into a truck while in a drunken state and died.

After that incident, her mother who, she thought was a kind and caring woman completely changed. Her mother got depressed by her husband's death, who always used to beat her up. To get out of her depression she also became a drug addict. Just like her father, her mother also began to beat her up, whenever she felt like it.

Days passed, months passed, years passed. But her mother's treatment towards her didn't change, instead of got worse.

When Kaiya turned 15, her mother put her inside a cage, locked the door and she ran away. Leaving Kaiya all alone without any food or water inside the locked cage. No matter how much she screamed for help, no one came to her rescue.

Seconds passed into minutes, minutes passed into hours, hours passed into days, but no one came to her rescue.

On the first day, she was still hopeful, hoping her mother didn't abandon her and would soon come back and get her out of this cage.

On the second day, she began to lose all her hopes, she realized her mother wasn't going to come back.

On the third day, she began to resent everyone, her father, her mother, the society, the whole world, for the suffering she was going through.

On the fourth day, she didn't care about anything anymore, she just wished to die. On the fourth and a half day, she somehow regained her will to live, and to survive she even had to eat her sh*t and urine. But that made her health worsen even more.

On the sixth day, she could feel her body was rotting. And she couldn't feel her body anymore. She thought she would die soon.

But then a group of police break into her room, and rescue her somehow, as the police were informed by the neighbors saying that a foul smell was coming out of the room. So they break into the room to see what is going on and find Kaiya in a half-dead state, then they hurriedly send Kaiya to the hospital just in time and she somehow survives.

After that incident, she still searched for her mother, but only to find that she also committed suicide, by burning her alive. Kaiya felt a deep sense of regret as she couldn't kill her with her own hands.

As Kaiya had no other family members, she was sent to an orphanage, and like any disfigured person, she also suffered from bullying. Although Kaiya wished to fight back, she was not only blind but also weak physically, so she could only grit her teeth and endure.

On her 18th birthday, she awakened her ability, called, 'Blind Eye,' which allowed her to see the world in a different way from normal. With this ability, she can uniquely perceive the world, simultaneously seeing darkness and detecting lights.

Which allow her to differentiate between people and objects. She can even detect the fastest-moving object that a normal human can never see. Her current range of sight is around 1 km. And she has a 360-degree vision, so she can see practically in all directions.

But the problem is that her physique is pretty weak and she is always low on star energy as she just awakened, so she can't maintain this ability of her all the time.

Because of this reason, on her first day in the military academy, when she was on her way out of the combat class to go back to her residence, she somehow bumped into a few girls. And then here she was suffering from bullying once again.

It's not like, no one saw her being dragged into the storage room by those girls, almost everyone present saw this, but no one even complained, let alone save her from getting bullied.

As Kaiya was thinking all this, suddenly another slap on her face made her come back to her senses.

"This blind bitch, how dare she ignored us?" A black girl shouted in anger and punched Kaiya's face. She looked above average, because of the heavy makeup she was wearing. If not for the makeup then even a ghost might look beautiful in front of her.

After getting punched in the face, Kaiya's nose began to bleed. But she didn't cry out in pain, as she was just too used to it. And currently, her face looked completely dead and emotionless.

Seeing her like this, the girls got more frustrated, as they were bullying her in the first place to see her scream and beg for mercy. But Kaiya wasn't following the script, so they grew more frustrated.

But just when they were about to beat her more, they heard a shout from the back, "All of you, fuck off."

As soon as they heard this, they got angry, but as they looked back to curse they shut up. Then instead of saying anything they began to fix their dress, and the black girl even began to put on some extra makeup. The one that shouted at them was none other than Jin Wei and behind him were Ben and Ken, they looked pretty indifferent, but Jin Wei was a bit angry.

"Ohh, Jin Wei, you're so handsome, please take my number." The tanned blonde girl said and she got near Jin Wei and tried to push herself onto Jin Wei.

Seeing this Jin Wei got more irritated, and he again shouted, "I guess I made myself clear, did I not? Fuck off!!!"

"Ohh, don't be like that, how about this, I will let you touch this." The blond girl said seductively and tried to show him her used saggy breast, and then she tried to touch Jin Wei's hand hoping she would be able to let Jin Wei touch her breast.

But before she could do so, Jin Wei slapped her on the face, making her fly away and clash with a broken table.

"Arghhh!!!" The blond girl screams in pain. Now everyone in the room was shocked, as they couldn't believe that Jin Wei just slapped a girl this hard. For just trying to seduce him. All the other girls who were hoping to do the same as the blond girl, completely removed that idea from their head.

Now two of her front teeth were broken and her nose was bleeding. She felt like crying but that was replaced with anger as she looked at Jin Wei with pure hatred.

But before she could curse, Jin Wei released a bit of his killing intent, making everyone in the room shiver down in fear, including Kaiya who was at the back.

And as for Ben and Ken, they were scared shitless, as they were closest to Jin Wei.

"I won't say it again, fuck off!!!" Jin Wei said in a cold and ruthless tone. Now everyone was sweating like crazy, as they thought they would die if Jin Wei wanted.

Then the blond girl and all the other four girls who were bullying Kaiya left the room. Leaving Jin Wei, Ben, Ken, and Kaiya in the room.

"Do I need to give you a personal notice for you to leave?" Jin Wei shouted at Kaiya who was sitting on the ground still a bit shocked by what was happening.
