17 Ruby's Day at School

Ruby is smiling as she waves her hand to Ryuki and Rena. After saying goodbye to them, she heads to her classroom.

She reaches her classroom and sits in her place. She sees some stupid, gross, creepy writing on her desk. She smiles and tries her best to wipe it off.

Some girls behind Ruby are laughing as they see Ruby wiping that away. It was they who wrote those things on Ruby's desk. They enjoy this since Ruby always smiles and does nothing. They derive even more pleasure from it and become bolder.

After homeroom class starts, Ruby walks to give her homework to the teacher, but as she is walking, a girl stretches her foot in Ruby's way. Ruby, who doesn't see this, trips and hits her head on the ground.

The whole class starts laughing, but the teacher tells them to shut up, so all the students secretly laugh in low voices.

However, Ruby doesn't care. Getting up and patting her clothes, she walks to the teacher and hands in her homework.

The teacher nods her head, saying, "Be careful when you walk."

The teacher didn't notice when a girl stretched her legs in Ruby's way, and Ruby didn't tell the teacher since she already knew that even if she told the teacher, nothing would change. Another reason is that she didn't care.

As the class went on, some girls and boys who brought rocks in their bags to throw at her. Even if she gets hit by rocks and it hurts, Ruby doesn't cry and stays strong.

Lunchtime arrives, and she doesn't have anything to eat. She neither had money to buy lunch nor brought lunch from home. She spends her lunchtime studying, and when school ends, she goes back to her house.

However, today she sees someone: Rena and Ryuki. As she sees them, the fake smile she wears all day vanishes, replaced by a genuine smile. She runs to them.

"Hey, hey, don't run like that, or you might fall down," Rena gently hits Ruby's head and scolds her.

"Sorry," Ruby becomes sad as she apologizes.

"Don't get sad. I didn't mean to scold you; it's just that I care for you, so I'm just reminding you," Rena sees her sadness and does her best to lift up Ruby's mood.

"Hey, let's leave her and come with me; I have a very good thing for you," Ryuki grabs Ruby's hand and says.

Ruby becomes curious as she looks at Ryuki, then grabs Rena's hand and asks, "What is it?"

Ryuki smiles and says, "Let's go to the park and I'll tell you."

The park is near from school, so Ruby nods her little head, and then the three of them go to the park. At the park, they sit on a bench, Ruby dangling her legs as she looks at Ryuki, who takes out a box.

"For you, I have a very tasty thing," Ryuki smiles and says as he opens the box. Ruby sees tasty fried chicken, and her mouth waters as she looks at the fried chicken.

"It's... is this for me?" an uncertain Ruby asks as she looks at Ryuki.

"Of course, it's just for you, so eat it," Ryuki says, rubbing his hand on her head.

"Onii-Chan, thank you," Ruby smiles, kisses him on the cheek, and says.

"Ruby-Chan, wait a minute; I also brought you something," Rena tells her.

Ruby hears Rena's voice and looks at her hand. She sees a tasty pastry, and love shapes appear in her eyes.

"For... for me?" Ruby asks.

"Yes, just for you," Rena smiles at her.

"I love you, Onee-Chan," Ruby says, giving Rena a long kiss on the cheek.

"It's great, but first eat the fried chicken, then as dessert, eat the pastry," Ryuki says, handing a box to Ruby.

"Okay, Onii-Chan," Ruby's little finger picks up a piece of fried chicken and she puts it in her mouth, tasting a crunchy texture. Lots of delicious taste sensations fill her mouth, and she jumps on the bench in happiness.

"So good, so tasty, tasty," Ruby says, and then she looks at Ryuki, moving the half-eaten fried chicken to him. "Onii-Chan, you should eat this."

"Okay," Ryuki smiles, taking a small bite, and then Ruby moves her hand to Rena, who also smiles as she takes a little bite.

The three enjoy the time and eat.

After saying goodbye to Ryuki and Rena, Ruby heads back to her house. Although she doesn't want to go back home, she doesn't have any other options.

Ruby walks inside her house and smells alcohol. She sees bottles laying around the room, a shirtless man, showing his chest hair and wearing only underwear, laid back on the sofa, asleep.

Ruby silently walks past the man and goes to the other side of the room, where a door is. She opens the door slowly, making sure not to make any noise, but there's an alcohol bottle near the door. When she opens the door, it hits the bottle, and the bottle rolls, making a sound.

Ruby's whole body jumps in fear, but seeing that the man is still sleeping, she walks into the room and closes the door.

Ruby looks around her room, which is empty. In the whole room, there's nothing besides a pile of her clothes and some books.

There is nothing besides these two things. Ruby walks to a pile of clothes and takes out her favorite red top, smiling as she takes off her school uniform.

When she takes off her school uniform, the bruises on her back come into view, along with the bruises on her front, the signs of burning on her thighs, and the words 'Bitch Child' on her chest.

This writing was done with a burning stick, and no matter what Ruby does, the writing isn't going away. The man who is outside is her father, and he said that this writing will be engraved on her body for a lifetime.
