Chapter 13

Body POV

As soon as my consciousness fell in the abyss of madness, my body began its change.

The now once again lizard like cat body turns into a upright creature of two meters. The head with the snout turns into a skull of a beast with two horns that point backwards and sharp teeth's in the maw, a long red tongue within. In the empty eye sockets, red flames lit up and form the eyes. The front legs turn into long arms on which are hands with each five long and sleek fingers that end in sharp claws. The once backward bent legs snap around and form humanoid legs with clawed feet. The tail grows to a length of three meters with a white bone like blade on the end.

This whole transformation only took five seconds and the end result is a two-meter high being with a white horned beast skull and long limbs and bladed tail.

And it was completely covered in black scales and fur expect for the perfect white skull and blade on the end of its tail.

The guards on the wall were shocked by the sudden transformation and terrified by the now devil like monster on the ground before them. But in the next moment a giant lightning crashed down from the magic circle and impacted on the pristine skull of the beast.

Everything got drowned by a blinding light and a deafening explosion.

After around a minute the things calmed down and everyone focused on the impact zone hoping to see a charred body of the beast, but they got disappointed.

Instead of a charred body they saw a smoking beast that has pierced his tail into the ground.

Once again shocked by what they saw, they didn't think about stopping the beast as it suddenly spins around and dashes into the distanced forest.

Body POV End

I slowly begin to make my way back to my body as I finished my job down there and am curious to see if my body has managed to survive the magical attack.

I snap my eyes open and immediately get assaulted by a pain that remembers strongly of electrocution.

Resisting the pain, I begin to go through the memories of the time I missed.

Once I see the giant magic circle shooting out a giant bolt of lightning a deep feeling of disappointment washes over me.

,,Such a giant magic circle and it creates a freaking lightning bolt!!!,, Had I known that it was just that I wouldn't have reacted with such an extreme measure.

Sigh...

,,It doesn't matter anymore.,, With this thought I begin to stand up from the ground on which I collapsed after running for seven hours into the forest to the north of the city.

Standing upright once again a short feeling of nostalgic washes through my mind, even though it has only been around a day since I got out of my egg.

Changing my focus on my surrounding I begin to scan through the trees and bushes of the forest around me.

With my transformation I lost my antennas, hearts and thermal vision but gained a highly resistant body, strong stealth skill and finally the broken ass regeneration that makes this body strong enough to go against whole humanity alone.

Back to my surroundings.

The trees have an average high of twenty meters and are full of strong branches and green leaves.

Perfect to hide and ambush prey.

The bushes are dark green and have all sorts of berries on them.

The ground switches between dirt, grass and tree roots.

All this together with the many different sorts of vines on bushes and trees it looks like out of a fairy tale.

Crouching low and using my arms as legs I begin to smell my surroundings. My nose my not be as good as before but I'm still an experienced hunter so I begin to silently walk through the forest.

After around an hour I finally found a trail.

From the looks of it, it should be something between a bear or a wolf and from the smell, it was around ten minutes since it came through here.

With the trail clear I jump onto the nearest tree and follow the trail while hiding between the branches and leaves.

It took me fifteen minutes to catch up to my prey and once I saw it I knew that it was one of these elemental beasts that I fought in the testing room.

The bear like thing is two meters high and one and a half wide, it has reddish brown fur and flames around its neck and along its spine.

It is eating some small animal that looks like a rabbit combined with a fox. It has greenish brown fur long rabbit ears on top of a fox body with a pommel tail.

And it has a gaping wound on its midsection that almost cut it in half.
