1 Chapter one : Prologue

John began to feel more and more frustrated knowing that there were people capable of paying such an amount of money for a virtual item and that he was not lucky enough to find at least one of these objects.

Envy, greed and hatred have been always present in John's life and all those emotions were directed towards the people with more luck in their lives or towards those who lived much better than him.

An egotistical reason to treat everyone badly and having a bad relationship with everyone around him made John become a lonely player who only depended on him and only himself.

The more John looked at the virtual market and all the people present selling something and earning money for just playing that game so that John felt more and more frustrated with himself but in a corner of his monitor there was a small sign.

"Hmm?" John observed the small advertising poster that offered an expansion package for a new area of the game Tears of grisaea and immediately clicking on that advertising redirected to a page.

John felt totally crushed by the doubts at that moment to observe the price of the expansion.

"30 dollars, what kind of joke is this?" John did not think that announcement was true since after 5 years of playing teas of grisaea the game had gone up completely from 300 to 3000 dollars! So this made it impossible for him to believe that an expansion of that game would only be worth 30 dollars.

The advertising changed several times with John present observing how this expansion offered a single random option to the first buyer of the expansion which would only come out once.

John thought and thought for several minutes until he decided to take the stupid decision to buy the expansion.

"Anyway, it's only 30 dollars and I lived with much less than that for a week." were the last words of John before pressing the button to accept the transaction and put all the data on his account of the game.

"Anyway, if they steal my account, they will not get anything valuable." John stretched his arms crossing them behind his head and watching as the data was being processed thinking it was possibly a link which would steal his account at the end.

John was even more confused than before to learn of such an operation that destroyed all the characters in an account and created a set of armor and a weapon customized for the player.

It would be total madness to create a character that was level 1 and had naturally the triple attribute that a character level 1000 but thinking clearly the option said that option only seemed to be for the first buyer of the expansion, so that did more or less digestible the information.

"I see, there would be a unique user that way, but surely in the future the creators of the game would increase the ability to level up even more by making that unique character stay behind."(John)

John and his thoughts were immediately interrupted by the sound of the confirmation of installation of the new content.

John activated his virtual reality capsule and immediately entered his menu where he could observe his 7 1000 level characters and the option that said those characters could be used to make a set and deliver their acc.u.mulated attributes to a new creative character randomly.

Oh! Lightly touched the box causing it to open and reveal 3 legendary Class full-body armor, the first legendary pieces that were now in John's hands.

"Hahahaha yes!!"(John)

John was totally excited and happy to see that he had gotten 3 full-body armors of the legendary class, but his emotion and happiness were not to have found objects super rare and difficult to obtain. His happiness was that now he would be able to sell them to the market and get a lot of money.

John observed again, his remaining 4 characters and decided to use the option to destroy 3 to obtain a character with totally crazy attributes, the madness of John slowly began to be shown since that way he would be able to obtain many materials to sell and win more money and avoid working in real life.

John accepted the second option the 3 characters began to turn as if they were on a platform beginning to light up and finally appeared a character completely covered in mist.

John tried to move and felt as if something restricted his movement almost completely until he looked down and could see huge chains that were tied to him. But what surprised him the most was that when he looked at the ground, he could see in the reflection of the water the strange creature.

"What the hell is all this on miself!?"(John)
