Final Goodbyes...

"Does host wish to see the current situation of her previous world?"the chubby bun asked

"Yes I would" she replied with a little anxiousness and fear, anxious to see her parents one last time but afraid to see them shed tears over her lifeless corpse

A futuristic looking interface appeared repeating the question but this time there was a 'Yes' or 'No' option at the bottom

Jia Li clicked on the 'Yes 'option immediately, Suddenly her surroundings went dark from a moment, then she appeared in white clean looking hospital room with a bed at the far end occupied by an unconscious patient

It was impossible for her to not recognize this place….after all this was her previous hospital room, she had stayed in this room for a good number of months. And the sickly patient in the bed…was her.

Suddenly a group of voices neared the room, it sounded like a mixture of crying and arguing.

She subconsciously wanted to hide but then recalled that the system said she was currently a soul, meaning no could see her.

"Doctor.. her vitals are failing?!! Just yesterday when we came to visit her, you said she was doing well, how are her vitals suddenly not responding again??? DOCTOR DO SOMETHING!!!" A middle aged woman yelled while bawling her eyes out.

"Ma'am please try to understand, we're doing the best that we can to help your daughter, but her body seem to be rejecting all antibiotics, if this goes on, in the next few hours…we might lose her" the doctor said in a low voice.

Hearing these words, the woman almost collapsed but her husband was quick to support her, her body racked with sobs as she held tightly onto her husband.

"Doctor please try your best to help her, I'm willing to pay any amount. Please just make sure she's okay" Mr. Gu said with a somber face.

"We'll try our best" the doctor said before giving a polite smile and leaving the room.

"Li'er…Li'er… please don't leave mom, you'll be fine okay? Just be strong for mother, Nothing will happen..to..y..you" Mrs. Gu said in a trembling sob filled voice as she stared at her daughter lovingly

It was unknown whether her comforting words were to convince her daughter or to convince herself..

Jia Li couldn't bear to watch any longer, her parents cries were like a heart shattering blow. She had thought she would be strong enough to bear it but she was wrong

"System… is there any way I could enter my body and say my final goodbye?"

"Host has a total of five minutes left that can be used in this world, does host wish to use them" A familiar screen popped up

"Yes"

She felt a sudden dizziness before she noticed she was back in her normal body.

"Mom….Dad…" she weakly called out to them in a hoarse voice

"Li'er??...Did I just hear my baby's voice? Doctor!! Honey look she's awake, Li'er how are you??" Mrs. Gu couldn't stop herself from going into a panic, her daughter was finally awake again, this was a sign that she could be saved right??

Unfortunately she forgot that a dying person always emits the most energy when they were about to breathe their last breath.
