Ch 6: I am a Town Part 1

Authors note: this book can accept power stones now, and it is giving me the option to accept a contract for it, which is a little strange since I made this book like two days ago, but lets see where this shit goes.

Also, to answer GeeGeeTeeWu's question, I would prefer powerstones on this novel, as it desperately needs attention from new audiences which Undertale the Scientist is perfectly fine, although I am not one to tell you how to use your power stones.

The Webnovel team also finally got around to allowing the book to accept power stones, so thats perfect.

now that that's out of the way, enjoy!

"Uhh, Lord Matthias?"

"Hm?" I reply, snapped out of the stupor I was in.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, let's go."

'System, how do I use blessing?' I ask, preparing myself for this first true encounter with humankind.

(You merely think of using the ability. A menu will appear asking what ability you would like to give the person and whether they should be able to make Clocks or not.)

"I can stop people from making Clocks?"

(Yes, Host.)

'That could be useful.' I think to myself as Maz started to pick me up. 'Although I could easily get more powerful with everyone making Clocks, is it the smartest thing to do? Firstly, society needs some people to get food, make things, and govern. If everyone is making Clocks, it will all collapse. In addition to that, I don't know what else giving people the ability to make Clocks will make them do…'

'It's probably safest if I only give certain people the ability to make Clocks.'

"You're heavy, Lord Matthias!"

'What? I'm heavy to someone who I've trained and is stronger than adult hunters? How heavy is this Sundial?' "Am I too heavy for you?"

"No! You're just a lot heavier than I expected!"

He stumbled for a moment.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

He stays silent for a moment, then starts sprinting.

"Wa!" I vocalize my surprise, then I laugh. "Haha, I guess you are alright!"

He laughs as well. "I told you I am stronger than the adults in my village!"

"What is the name of your village, by the way?" I ask more, getting info on the first of my possible believers.

"Our village doesn't have a name, Lord."

I smile. 'Another thing to name to get them to worship me more!'

"Does none of your people have names?"

"Only Ekaku!"

My metaphorical smile grew larger. "I actually wondered this for a while now, when I first spoke to you, why did you think I was Ekaku, your village chief?"

"Because Ekaku is powerful! He can do anything!" Naivety spoke through his tone.

'Hmmm, there is a chance that Ekaku found a way to manifest Mana or Ki and that is why people worship him as their chief, but I find it more likely that he fought some people, proved himself, and they just like him now. Either way, better to prepare to fight just in case…'

'Wait a minute.'

'What can I do to fight?'

I get lost in thought as we break through the forest and Maz runs to the village in the distance.

'I know! I will say that the Ekaku is not worthy to fight me and have him fight Maz instead! I will bless Maz with superior strength and he will likely acquire chiefship through this fight, giving me an important chess piece!'

I laugh in my head. 'But thats only if this Ekaku is violent, if he is reasonable, it likely won't be needed.'

"Boy! What is that in your hands?" A deep voice calls from the gates that we have been nearing the whole time I was lost in thought.

The village looks as underdeveloped as you would expect. They have fences, if you can consider giant wooden logs tied to each other with plant fibers 'fences'. The 12 houses that were built were wooden, which is better than what I was expecting. There was one large house made of stone, though, which I can only assume was Ekaku's house.

The man who stopped us was lanky, but built. He had dark hair and a square of hair under his nose like a certain dictator. The guard next to him stayed silent.

"I told you to call me Maz! And this is my Lord Matthias!" He raises the Sundial straight into the air.

"Well, hello there Ado- *Cough* Human." I speak to prove that Maz isn't insane.

He fell backward straight on his ass. "Wh-What the hell? Did that strange thing just speak?!"

Maz looked angry. "Lord Matthias is not a strange thing! He is a Sundial and a God!"

"A… A God?" He looked skeptical for a moment, then his eyes widened, as if he realized that normal sundials don't talk. "H-Hold on, I will run over and get Ekaku!"

"We will come with." I vocalize calmly. "You don't want to keep a God waiting, after all, right?"

Maz nodded, supposedly agreeing with me.

"I…" The guard hesitated, not sure if he was allowed to.

"Maz has been a part of the village for a long time and is trusted, right?" I ask.

"Uh, yes?"

"Then why can you not trust his word and just take us to Ekaku?"

"… Alright." He conceded. "Buddy, keep watch, okay?"

The other guard just nodded.

"Follow me," He continued to talk to us as if we were a threat, which is a little unnerving, but I am certain that when I bless Maz, we will be perfectly safe.

As we walk through the small village, I try to use blessing, simply preparing for what is likely the inevitable.

(Subject to bless?)

'Maz,' I reply simply, slightly annoyed that the System can't take a hint as to who I am blessing, since I only have one believer.

(Would you like to allow subject Maz to make Clocks? Notice: this can be changed at any time.)

'For now, no. I will definitely do it later, though, when I explain what a Clock is to Maz.'

(Please choose a blessing. Notice, this cannot be changed.)

See one second into the future.

Premonition

Be stronger than the average human (Greater blessing)

'Greater blessing,' I rush, as we reach the stone house.
