13 Ch 10: I am Explaining Clocks

Authors note: Whenever we hit another milestone, I like to think about everything that we've done to get here. We have jumped from power ranking 3000 to power ranking 2000. Thats a huge fucking jump.

In addition to that, the Webnovel team has informed me that tomorrow, This book will be featured on "Potential Starlet".

This community started off as just a small group of people that liked Undertale and now we are here, I just want to thank all of you for bringing me where I am now. This all has such huge potential and I have to thank all of you for that.

Now, enough of the thanking, enjoy the chapter.

"Can Ma be Pope?"

Koshia looked down.

"Ma? Do you mean Koshia?"

Maz immediately turned around, eyes full of shock. "Ma's got a name?!"

Koshia looked back up and smiled. "Lord Matthias just gave me one."

He immediately spun back around to look at me.

I laugh. "You know, if she didn't tell me that she was your adopted mother, I wouldn't know who 'Ma' is, right?"

He looked down, slightly embarrassed, then said quietly, "Thank you for naming Ma."

I smile, then look towards Koshia. "Are you opposed to this?"

She looks confused for a moment. "What is a Pope?"

I sweat drop. 'So far to go, huh?' "A Pope is one of the three main leaders of a Theocracy, along with the Apostle and the God."

"W-What?! No! You just met me!"

"Has Maz 'Just met you'?"

"N-No."

"He was the one to suggest you becoming the Pope, not me. I think that he knows you quite well, yes?"

Maz spoke up at this. "Ma is a great person! Kind and caring!"

I continue to smile. "Well, Koshia? Are you interested?"

"I… will have to think about it. A lot would change, after all."

"Well, if you ever do decide, you know where I am. I can't exactly move yet. You're dismissed, unless you have something else you want to say?"

"No, thank you, Lord Matthias." She replied quickly, as if in deep thought. She left quickly.

"Lord Matthias?"

"Yes, Maz?"

"You said 'Yet', are you going to be able to move in the future?"

"Yes, Maz, maybe even the near future. Speaking of which, Maz, do you know why I am in this sundial?"

"I just thought that was your body?"

"No, Maz, God's are spiritual beings. We manifest ourselves through different ways, but my way is through things called 'Clocks'." I start to teach him about Clocks, so that he can start making them.

"Is a sundial a Clock?"

"Yes, as a sundial is able to tell the time. Anything that can tell the time is a Clock!"

"Is the sun a Clock?"

'They already are looking at the sun to tell the time?' "In a way, yes! People can look to the sky to see what time it is, if the sun is at the top of the sky, then it's 12PM! It's an inaccurate method, though, because the sun can rise earlier or later depending on the season."

He stayed silent for a while, which I used to ask the System some questions. 'System, when I allow Maz to make Clocks, will he already know how?'

(Answer: Individuals who have been blessed with the abilities to make Clocks will only know the most basic form of telling the time the world has to offer, which in this world, is a Sundial.)

I sweat drop. 'So for the foreseeable future, I am a sundial.'

Maz suddenly spoke up. "I don't exactly understand what you mean by the sun being an inaccurate method, but I think I understand what a Clock is."

"Perfect!" I replied simply; I didn't exactly understand an underdeveloped civilization to understand how the sun works, after all. "Do you understand why I am telling you all of this?"

"No, but I think I have an idea."

"What do you think it's for?"

"I need to understand the God I am the Apostle for?"

"Although, yes that is true, that is not why I am telling you this now." 'Blessing'

(Who would you like to bless?)

'Maz.'

(Maz already has a blessing, would you like to give him the ability to make Clocks?)

'Yes!' "Brace yourself, Maz."

His eyes crossed for a moment, then went back to normal in about 5 seconds. "Whoa, is this… what a sundial is?"

"I have blessed you with how to make a sundial. Whenever you make a sundial and turn it into a Clock, I will be able to manifest myself through it."

"Is a sundial not originally a Clock?"

"It is, but I still am not represented in it until it is officially turned into a Clock. It is like how even though you can kill animals, you are not officially a hunter of the village."

"Ah! I understand!"

*Knock Knock*!

The doorframe without a door banged again, announcing the next person wishing to speak.

It was a guard, with a bloody lump for one of his ears, which he kept his hand over.

I frown for a moment, then said, "Don't you think you should disinfect that?"

He frowned, slightly confused. "How would I disinfect it?"

'Right, underdeveloped civilization.' "Nevermind, what do you need?"

He stayed silent, then started to approach.

He stopped right in front of where the sundial sat, then kneeled. "I want to thank you for freeing us."

"From Ekaku?"

"Yes."

I smile. 'Good soldiers follow orders. He was just doing what he was told, huh?' "You don't need to thank me, I got quite a few believers out of it."

He smiled. "You can't expect me to believe you did it just for a few believers. You are a good person. What should I call you?"

"Matthias, but everyone calls me Lord Matthias."

"Thank you, Lord Matthias."

My smile grew slightly wider. "Do you need anything else?"

"No."

"Alright, then I don't mean to be so rude, but Maz and I are incredibly tired. Would you please go?"

He stayed silent as he left.

I sigh. "I think that we should wait until morning to talk more, preferably even at noon or later; It has been a long night."

"Agreed."

"Do you have a place to sleep, Maz?"

"Yeah!"

"Then you should go get some sleep. I will be fine here."

"Okay!"

Finally, I was alone.

I groaned. "Ugh, System, quick, how do I do that meditation bullshit, I'm exhausted."

(Answer: Simply relax and clear your thoughts from your head.)

I immediately tried it.-

'How long has passed?'

(Announcement: You still have thoughts in your mind.)

'Fuck!'

'This is nice.'

(Announcement: You still have thoughts in your mind.)

'Fuck off!'
