24 The Sergeant

You forgot to mention whether slowing down was good or not. 

Another notice is that I've updated the auxiliary chapter. Now the chubby Goose is there. 

This chapter is a continuation of the last one, my attempt to slow down and showcase other characters. But I decided to post everything at once. I don't like cliffhangers Hahaha.

Now, look forward to the next chapter tomorrow. It's really good, at least I liked it a lot.

"Well, what's done is done. But now we need help. I don't know if just the Iron Legion can defend us against the entire Kree Empire." Talos said, his anxiety clear.

"They can't. If it were just a few ships, the Legion could fight while protecting the planet. But if the Kree Empire sends a very large number of ships, the Skrull people could be eliminated even before the Iron Legion." I said with a serious face.

The Iron Legion is strong, but not that strong. One thing is to fight with several strong individuals; another is to fight against a fleet of ships from one of the most powerful empires in the universe while defending a planet. 

Even if the Legion were to win, the Skrulls would have perished just from the consequences of the battle.

Me saying this made Talos even more anxious. 

"If there's no other way, we have to get as many people as possible off the planet before they attack." Talos said with anxiety.

Since they found a home, the Skrulls have been searching for the scattered remnants of the Skrulls across the universe. At this moment, there are already millions of Skrulls on the planet.

"No need." I said this time with a smile.

I looked at the girls and smiled. 

"My honeymoon in Cancun is canceled, isn't it?" Pepper looked at me and gave a bitter sigh.

"Come on, Peps! What could be more memorable than a honeymoon fighting against an entire advanced galactic empire?" I asked, amused.

Carol and Pepper looked at each other helplessly.

While Yao just smiled lightly at me, as if she had already expected this... which she probably did.

"Well, Talos, don't worry about the Kree Empire. Leave it to us. But if it reassures you, you can try evacuating the Skrulls, although it's not a good idea, as such a large-scale evacuation is easy to detect and intercept by the Kree." I said with a smile and left with the girls.

Talos continued there, biting his nails. He was a nervous wreck.

"That was kind of mean. Your reassurance just made him more nervous." Carol said and looked at me amused.

"I don't like people coming to ask me for things on the day of my wedding." I said with a smile, winking at her.

"Well, he didn't have much of a choice. I don't think he has time to wait for our honeymoon to end." Peps said, shaking her head with an ironic smile.

"Well, it should be fun. It's been a while since I've had a battle. The last time was 7 months ago when I entered a demonic realm when they were causing problems. After that, everything has been peaceful." Yao said smiling.

"Maybe it's because that was the fourth dimension you entered and left half destroyed in recent years. I think they got the message that you're no longer weakened." I said amused, looking at Yao.

"I was preparing for our wedding. If I didn't put a little fear into them, they would bother us on our honeymoon. Since becoming the Sorcerer Supreme, this is the first time I've taken a vacation and nothing can spoil it." Yao said with a raised eyebrow and a calm face.

"I thought the Sorcerer Supreme didn't take vacations." Carol teased with a smile.

"Well, I decided to learn from Wong." Yao replied with a smile on the corner of her mouth.

"Achoo!" Wong sneezed in the distance.

"Bless you, Wong!" I shouted to him.

He just waved his hand at me.

"Meow!" Goose looked at Wong angrily, who sneezed into his food.

"Oh, look who's over there. Let's go say hi." I said with a smile to the girls, and we went to talk to the man I pointed to.

"Hey, Sergeant. Thanks for coming." I said, giving the man who was talking with a woman, my dad, and my mom a pat on the back.

"Haah, Tony, I've told you, I'm not in the army anymore. Just call me by my name." The man said with a bitter sigh to me.

"Sorry, I'll leave 'Bucky' for your frozen boyfriend to call you." I said, provoking him.

"How many times do I have to say it? Steve and I are brothers, nothing more, nothing less." Bucky said through gritted teeth to me. He always shuddered when I said they were boyfriends.

I had already informed him that Steve was frozen but alive. I told Bucky to let Steve be for now because I had plans for Steve. Bucky also agreed. According to him, he's not ready to see Steve yet because his hands are too bloody.

"Mr. Stark, you don't need to doubt Bucky. I know him well enough to say that they are just friends." The woman with him said with a smile. But I could see that she had a lot of respect for me.

"Oh? Could you tell me who this lady is?" I asked with a smile to her.

"Laynia Petrovna." She smiled at me, said her name, and extended her hand for a handshake, which I shook.

She then continued, "I'm one of the widows you rescued. I tried to adapt to a new life, but in the end, the horrors of the Red Room always came back to me. So, I joined the Iron Brotherhood and met Commander Bucky there. Things happened, and we fell in love." she said with a smile and held onto Bucky's arm, who blushed slightly.

"Wow! Bucky, it looks like I underestimated you. Congratulations! I wish you all the happiness in your relationship." I exclaimed surprised, but then I smiled and congratulated the couple.

""Thanks, Tony."" They expressed their gratitude.

About Bucky, I had intended to leave him frozen in my warehouse until Steve arrived, but old Howard had seen his face, and he wouldn't let his old friend suffer.

So, like a good father, he handed over the job of healing and taking care of Bucky to me. Typical.

So, I healed him, took care of his mental state, and had him join the Iron Brotherhood as one of the commanders to atone for the sins he committed as the Winter Soldier.

And surprisingly, helping other people around the world, earning a good salary, and taking vacations did wonders for his mental state.

By the way, he even got a girlfriend among the Black Widows.

Life hasn't treated Bucky Barnes poorly.

The rest of the wedding was fun. I programmed Extremis using my mind to allow myself to get a little drunk today. 

So, I got drunk, danced a lot, and had fun with the girls. 

Today will be a day I will cherish forever in my memory.

Of course, the end of the day was the best part, but that's our little secret as a couple.
