43 The Fat Cat

Sorry if the last chapter and this one weren't that good. But the next one (Chapter 44) is cute, and in the following one (Chapter 45) the story is going to start heating up.

----------------------------------

Me and the girls left our room and headed to the kitchen.

On our way, we were chatting.

"Are you going to do something different today?" I asked, looking at them.

"Nah, more of the same. Just got intel from the base where a people trafficker lives and operates. After breakfast, I'll take care of it." Carol replied with a smile at me.

She's not wrong, it's something she commonly does. She makes this poor Iron Man proud.

"Same here. Dealing with paperwork, investing in some businesses. The usual." Pepper said, shrugging.

Pepper talks like that, but she enjoys seeing the company grow. Money isn't very relevant to us, so she turns it into a kind of game to try to make the company bigger and better.

I don't even invent things for the company anymore, as we have many skilled employees to handle the current development on Earth.

Everything is handled by Pepper with the assistance of Jarvis and Friday.

It won't be long before Stark Industries becomes like the good version of the Umbrella Corporation, dominating the world.

Then I looked at Yao, who smiled at me.

"Well, I'm different. Today, I will pass the position to a new Sorcerer Supreme." Yao said, smiling happily.

She had been tired of the position for a long time.

I looked strangely at Yao.

"You're doing that already? But they don't even know Strange. How will they accept him as Sorcerer Supreme?" I asked, confused.

Yao nodded as well and explained.

"My influence at Kamar-Taj is enough so that with just my word, he becomes Sorcerer Supreme. Combine that with his incredible strength, and he can take the position." Yao said seriously.

"But that still won't be good, right?" I asked, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"I know. That's why I will create a new position called Supreme Advisor, which I will occupy. This will reassure the other sorcerers until they get used to Strange, and I can step down with ease." Yao explained her idea.

After pondering and laughing at the job title for a moment, I nodded. I think it works.

Pepper decided to speak.

"Normally, this wouldn't be so good, but the control and trust you have at Kamar-Taj are very strong. Strange just has to not make any big mistakes, and it should be fine." Pepper, as CEO, analyzed from her perspective.

When she finished speaking, we arrived at the kitchen.

Vision was wearing a chef's hat and an apron over his normal body, not disguised.

"Vision? Why are you cooking with your body? You can still operate the kitchen machines to cook as usual." I asked, confused.

"Oh, sir. Good morning! Well, I just wanted to try. Since I received this body, I have understood senses and feelings better, not completely, of course. But when I thought about cooking with my own hands, and when I actually did it, I finally understood what humans call... love." Vision said, looking affectionately at the eggs in the frying pan.

My eye twitched a little.

"More to understand what a hobby is, but whatever floats your boat." I said, shrugging, amused.

The girls and I looked at each other, helpless and amused.

"And where's Friday?" Carol asked, looking around and not seeing Friday.

Instead of her appearing, her voice came from speakers within the walls.

With a pitiful voice, Friday said.

[H-Hello Bosses. I-I left because after Vision found something he likes, I went to try and find something I like. D-Did I do wrong? Should I come back?] She sounded like a child who got caught doing something wrong.

The girls and I looked at each other and laughed.

"Pfff! Hahaha! It's all right, Friday. You can continue." I said, amused.

They were my AIs, and as much as I programmed them to be loyal to me, I won't stop them from being happy and doing what they want, as long as they don't do bad things.

"Sir, the food is ready. Do you want me to wake up the young masters and misses?" Vision asked me as he put the eggs on separate plates.

"Nah, I'll do that." I said, smiling softly, and started walking to the little ones' rooms.

But I had to stop, as a fat yellow cat was walking 'stealthily' and cautiously to the kitchen, but froze when it saw me.

I looked, extremely amused and helpless, at the cat.

"I don't remember getting Medusa's powers to petrify Goose like this. Besides, Goose, give up the stealth, you're a giant yellow furball, I don't think you can be stealthy." I said, amused and loudly so the girls could hear.

"Pfff!" The girls laughed as they looked amused at the yellow cat that was looking at them pitifully.

"Okay, don't intimidate Goose so much." Carol said, amused, which made Goose's eyes shine.

"But you'll still be on a diet, girl. If you keep gaining weight, not even I with my super strength will be able to lift you." Carol added, amused.

"Meow!" Goose complained with drooping ears and a pitiful look.

I nodded in agreement with Carol.

"Vision, Goose will only eat one portion per meal from now on." I said decisively.

"As you wish, sir." Vision said and placed a single plate on the floor, before using an enlargement disc to enlarge the meal and turn the eggs with bacon into small hills.

"Meow!" Goose meowed horrified at me.

Her eyes seemed to be asking if I wanted to starve her to death.

"You call this starving?" I said helplessly, pointing to the giant eggs. This darn cat is used to eating ten times this.

"Meow!" Goose nodded repeatedly.

"Well... since you said so. Vision, cut it in half." I said with a mischievous smile.

"Meow!" Goose looked at me as if I were a demon and ran with her chubby form to eat her meal before it was reduced.

"Uh, sir, that's a joke, right?" Vision asked me, confused if he should halve Goose's meal or if it was just a joke.

"That will depend on how many pounds Goose will lose this month." I said emotionlessly and walked away without looking back, leaving a tragic meow echoing behind me.

"MEOOOOOWWWWWWWW!"
