Aixela was orphaned early because of a mishap that caused her to meet the man who turned into her inspiration in writing her novels. This man is the one who saved her life. Aixela dreams of becoming a famous author like her late mother but the right time for her rise has not yet come so she just continues to write and take care of their family business where she met her boyfriend Louis. Her relationship with her boyfriend went well until it gradually cooled down and changed. One day she decided to visit the grave of her bereaved mother. She does it every year but unexpectedly, this visit will make a big difference in her life. On her way back to the airport, she accidentally witnessed a crime that caused her and Police Inspector John Dether Anton Dy Jr. to cross paths. Anton was the police officer who helped her when the culprit tried to chase her. He also provided a witness protection program to Aixela where they had to live under the same roof to guarantee her security. Anton has dreamed since he was a child to be a good detective like his late father and as he was preparing for his promotion test, he met Aixela which also caused him to change his outlook in life. The two did not get along well with each other at first, but later they became sympathetic to each other, especially when Anton helped Aixela to move on when she broke up with her long-term boyfriend who fooled her. Aixela, on the other hand, helped Anton prepare for his promotion test. The two became close to each other and investigated the case together. Along with the various trials they faced while resolving the case was the deepening of their feelings to each other until they discovered something.

:Peace Offering

We just got home and until now he doesn't talk to me or look at me so I'm more nervous. Even until he entered his room, he continued to ignore me which made me more guilty of what happened. I was so guilty that I even think of crying in front of him but it looks like he doesn't want to see me at all. I just cooked something to eat and I thought of it as a peace of offering.

When he came out of his room, I immediately waited for him to sit in his seat but he just went straight to the bathroom. I just slumped on the floor. Argh! What am I going to do?

After he took a bath, he was about to enter his room when I spoke.

"I know you're mad at me. I'm sorry. Just tell me how I can make up for it," I bowed saying.

He kept his back to me where he stopped walking for a few seconds but he immediately entered his room without even replying to what I said. I can't stand it anymore! I hurried to the opposite side of his door and knocked repeatedly.

"You know, if you're angry, take it out. Scold me, or if you want to punch me. Promise, I won't retaliate. Or maybe you can't because you think I'll report to your inspector. Don't worry, I'll say I just slipped, and then my face hit the floor."

He still didn't answer so I just kept knocking. "Are you so mad that you don't want to see me anymore? Do you want me to leave? Just tell me. I'll tell your inspector that I need to go home. Or if you want, I'll wrap a cloth around my face for you to not see me anymore, I can do it. Tell me how I can make up for it because I'm so guilty."

My hand hurts from knocking so I stopped it. Instead, I just leaned against his door and stared at the table where the food was served.

"You know, I realized that your work is very hard. You rarely eat on time and then you often get injured. That's why you have to eat so that you have the strength to work tomorrow. Besides, do you want the food to spoil?"

I took a deep breath before speaking again. "I'm really sorry. Please forgive me. I won't do it again. Or if you don't want to forgive me right away, go ahead and punish me but please not like this. If you want, I can wash your clothes or anything. But not this. I just don't want you to be angry with me, especially since I'm just living with you. I'll admit I really made a mistake. Big mess, to be exact. But, you can't blame me either, can you? How come, I saw you hugging someone when you're too cold, especially a guy? What can I think? You're very cold to women, and you said, you hate girls. So how can I not think that you're g---"

I hadn't finished what I was saying when suddenly the door opened. I thought I would fall to the floor because I was leaning over when the door opened but fortunately Anton grabbed my arm. He looked at me for about a second before pulling me upright.

"What's your problem? Why don't you just go to sleep?" He asked annoyed.

"B-because..." I slightly raised my head to look at him but I bowed again as soon as I could see his glaring eyes. "Because you haven't eaten yet."

"Why are you always waiting for me to eat? Can't you sleep without seeing me eating?" He asked.

"Oum," I replied weakly. He didn't speak so I watched his reaction again but he was looking at me. He just shook his head and went out to eat. I followed him and sat in the chair opposite him.

"Are you going to watch me while eating?" He asked irritably.

"Ahh," I just said and moved to the couch where I would sleep. He continued to eat so I smiled.

"What?!" He asked irritably when he noticed me. I just turned around so he wouldn't get annoyed anymore.

Later on, I heard the chair move, meaning he had finished eating. I turned around and he was about to return to his room when I spoke so he stopped again and kept his back to me.

"Officer Dy, I just want to say sorry again for the mess I have caused earlier. I hope you forgive me."

He did not speak or face and just re-entered his room.
