"Hey, Agnus! We're having a party tonight at that place, you wanna come?"

"Sure."

The one who called me was Shane, one of the popular boys in our school, coupled with his athletic ability and his face, no wonder he's popular among the girls.

"Do we really need to invite a slob like him, Shane?"

"Hey! Don't be mean to Agnus, he's not a slob at all, and also the more the better right?"

The girls around him whimpered in disappointment, glancing at Agnus in annoyance.

'Thank you for being kind enough to invite me Shane... but this doesn't fix the situation I'm in at all!'

Agnus has been friends with Shane for a long time, but his jealousy of Shane's popularity worsened as time passed until he no longer regarded him as a friend.

And then Agnus was summoned into the world of Paradise.

Seeing the skill he got made Agnus release a burst of laughter, knowing that this skill would elevate him to heights he never reached before until now.

'I can become a king!'

Agnus shouted in anger as he kicked the bed in his tent.

His envisioned future of being a leader, a king who commands his subjects to do his bidding, while he simply enjoys comfort as he controls everyone is now gone.

All of this is because of that girl, Mari Elysia.

"And she even dared to reject me! How come my [Charm] not work on her?!"

After being given the quest by some angel, he was able to influence people to form a group with him as a leader.

And much to his delight, some were even willing to die for him.

They were able to finish the quest extremely early with no mishaps, as he led the group to the forest, and then strumbled upon some sort of camp, which he then used as a base.

With the people's trust, he immediately becomes the leader of the massive group, quickly building a hierarchy in the camp.

Some were treated with utmost respect within the camp, while those who were strong and had good stats were assigned to his army.

And those who were useless were treated as trash.

Seeing all his hard and honest work of building his so-called kingdom crumble just because of some girl infuriated him.

"Fuck!"

Agnus shouted as he sat on his bed violently scratching his head, figuring out what went wrong and then it clicked to him.

"Wait... if she's strong enough to kill those goblins and that orc, then my [Charm] wouldn't work on her at all, and people who are far stronger than me as well."

"For now, I should lay low and avoid antagonizing her..."

'But it won't be long before I see you groveling on my knees!'

Imagining such a beautiful girl like her becoming his slave, passionately following his orders and serving him in bed with no hesitation, ignited his desire to conquer her.

Her entire body and soul.

As he felt his lust at its peak plus his pent-up anger, he walked out of the tent filled with malicious intent.

"That's right, there was also that girl right?"

Eugene slowly woke up from his sleep, feeling energized and his fatigue gone after a good rest.

"Oh, you're finally awake."

Hearing a familiar phrase, Eugene looked at the source of the voice and saw Mark leaning at the wall with some sort of pose.

"You were trying to cross the border right?"

"Pfft. What the hell are you doing?"

"I don't know honestly, but good morning Eugene!"

'It's night though...'

Eugene looked over the tent and noticed the darkness beyond the curtain, and he laughed at Mark's antics.

"Hahaha... So did anything happen while I was out?"

"Not really, most of the people have already dozed off, so we are probably the only ones who are awake."

Mark answered Eugene's question whose thoughts wandered off, thinking this was a good time to do something he's been holding off for a while.

"I see, and ugh... why are you so sweaty?"

"Ah, I just finished my workout just now, I'm sorry for showing you such a display!"

"No, no. It's honestly admirable for you to have the leisure to do such things despite our current predicament."

Mark rubbed his neck and smiled sheepishly at Eugene's compliment.

"I almost forgot to tell you, I was able to increase my stats by working out."

"Really?!"

Eugene stood abruptly from his bed after hearing Mark's revelation, feeling relieved and excited by the knowledge of being able to increase your stats without killing monsters.

"Buckle up Mark, we won't be resting tonight."

"Eh, why?"

"We'll be leveling up."

Eugene and Mark who are now armed with weapons and light armor walked towards one of the camp's exits that leads to one of the four sectors.

Mark followed Eugene as he hesitantly asked.

"E-Eugene, are you sure about trying to find one of the goblin camps now? Didn't you hear what Miss Mari just said to us a while ago?"

"I know."

But Eugene continues on his way, walking with confident strides, knowing that he could level up without killing monsters motivated him to the fullest.

If leveling up without killing the monster is possible, then going through an intense workout and gaining stats from it would be the same as suffering from the goblin's attacks, slowly adapting, and improving his body.

Was he a masochist? No.

He was confident in winning against the goblins knowing that his reliable meatshield was with him.

"B-But-"

"If we were to rest now, don't you think we are wasting time?"

Eugene strikes a pose and begins emitting the aura of a wise elder, which prompts Mark to stop and listen to his wisdom.

"Leveling up now and trying to lower the number of goblins would be the best course of action, especially when we don't know when they will potentially start attacking our camp."

"We should find a way to level up fast and increase our stats so we can fend off against the goblins, and doing this now is the perfect time."

"Increasing our stats and also crippling the goblin's strength in numbers, we are hitting two birds with one stone."

Mark looked at Eugene with sparkling eyes as Eugene looked back at him, hitting the most fabulous pose he could think of as he said his finishing move.

"We become stronger overnight while those lazy people slack off and rest, don't you like that feeling Mark?"

"The feeling that you are always ahead of others!"

And with that, Mark was sold.

"Amazing! From now on, I will call you big brother Eugene!"

"Hmph."

Eugene lifted his head high as Mark bowed down at him in reverie, creating a comical scene for anyone who witnessed it.

"Let's go!"

"Yes sir!"

Mark salutes Eugene as they walk towards the exit.

'My delicious stat points, here I com-'

"N-NOOO-mmph!"

A girl's shout stops them in their tracks as Eugene motions Mark to stay quiet as they slowly approach the vicinity where they heard the noise.

"Shut your mouth you bitch! Be grateful that I am giving you this kind of attention!"

"M-Mmph!"

A man was pinning a girl down below a tree, they were pretty hidden especially during the night, making it a perfect time for such things.

Unlucky for them, Eugene and Mark have arrived at the wrong time.

"Damn... are they really planning to do it here?"

"No, something is wrong here Mark. Look closely."

"Huh?"

Mark then observed the 'couple' in more detail and recognized the man but not the girl, she was quite beautiful but not on Mari's level, and wore a cute ponytail.

"It's Sir Agnus? And- !"

Then Mark realized what was truly happening, Agnus violently pinning her down, her resisting, and seeing bruises on her delicate skin.

"How dare he-"

As Mark was about to confront them, Eugene stopped him in his tracks, motioning him to stay silent, and whispered something in his ear.

After a moment, Mark then nodded and headed back to camp, following Eugene's advice who looked at Agnus and simply grinned.

'Looks like I need to claim my reward earlier than I expected...'

Agnus started caressing the girl's body which earned a muffled scream from her which only made him laugh in amusement.

"There's no point in resisting, I'll make sure to mold you to my liking!"

The girl then violently protested which earned a vicious slap to her face by Agnus, who was fueled with lust even more and started exploring her body even more.

'P-Please...'

'Someone save me!'

"What the fuck are you doing to her?!"

Eugene shouted and pushed Agnus off of the girl who immediately stood up and hid behind his back.

"Tsk! What the hell are you doing here?!"

"I should be the one asking what the fuck were you doing to her!"

Eugene grabbed Agnus' collar but he then kicked Eugene in his stomach and managed to push him off.

"Oh, that! Hahaha, I was just having a roleplay with my girlfriend, she has quite the preferences."

"Stop lying! I saw what you were trying to do to her, you scum!"

"I'll make sure to reveal your true shitty face to the others!"

Eugene shouted at Agnus who only laughed at his words, does this fool really think he could expose him?

"That's right! Good job for figuring out something as simple as that, I commend you!"

"But do you think the others would believe your baseless claim?"

"Of course!"

Suddenly, some survivors arrived at the scene, seemingly woken up by the commotion and their numbers were slowly increasing.

"...What's happening here?"

"Sir Agnus and... huh? Who are the other two?"

Seeing a big opportunity in front of him, Agnus then told the crowd.

"Guys! I just returned from scouting the goblins during the night, but on the way to the camp I met these two people who were engaging in sexual activities in the middle of the night!"

"After getting caught by me, they even accused me of rape when I didn't even do anything!"

The crowd looked at Eugene and the girl in disbelief, truly believing in Agnus' words who just laughed in his mind.

'Hahaha! With my [Charm] I could easily get away from this, do you think I didn't think of something like this happening earlier?'

'Idiot!'

"He's lying!"

Eugene retorted Agnus and stared at the crowd helplessly, but they only looked at him in disdain which delighted Agnus even further.

"See? Even everyone doesn't believe your lies!"

"How about your girl over there? Let her talk and see if I really did try to rape her!"

Agnus confidently said to them as the girl trembled behind Eugene, but even after a long moment of silence the girl still didn't speak up.

"Looks like she's not even going to utter a single word, as expected of people who tried to accuse me!"

The crowd also joined in Agnus' and started shouting at them at Eugene and the girl, which made the girl tremble even further.

"I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I'm sorry for dragging you into thi-"

But her lips were forced shut as Eugene placed his finger onto her mouth, shaking his head at her, and simply extended his arms to her shoulders and embraced her to the sides.

'Ah... why?'

'Even though we barely know each other...'

'Why are you so kind to me?'

As the crowd continued to grow in size and ridiculed Eugene and the girl for their actions, Agnus smirked victoriously upon seeing Eugene put his head down in defeat.

'With this, I win!'

'...'

'Huh?'

'Why the hell...'

'Why the fuck is this asshole grinning?'

What Agnus didn't know was that he had already fallen for Eugene's trap a long time ago.

By the time Agnus confronted Eugene...

It was all over for him.

"What are you grinning for huh?! You think this shit is just fun-"

A melodious voice then interrupted the commotion, as Agnus' face paled and Eugene widened his grin as he looked into Agnus' eyes and whispered.

"Checkmate."

His queen piece has arrived.

"What is happening here?"
