On the first day of the new century, everything changed. Vortices started to appear around the world, mythical energy, which had disappeared for countless years, reemerged, and zombies began to manifest all around the world. The apocalypse arrived, and the end of humanity seemed near. But after years of battling the monsters and finally emerging victorious in the apocalypse, humans realized that the war they had been fighting for years was mere child's play compared to what came next. They discovered that their world had connected with countless other worlds, forming a giant planet teeming with numerous races, and now, even more wars began to erupt. Let's have some fun!

As the flood of memories inundated Astarion's mind, he immediately experienced an indescribable agony. The pain was so intense that words failed to capture its essence.

Soon His body also started to hurt like crazy, with leg cramps that felt dozens of times more severe than usual and his hands suffering from excruciating cramps.

Astarion let out a deep sigh as he stood up from the ground, his face twisted in pain. He knew that swordsman had to endure a lot of pain in their training, but this pain was something else.

Maybe it was because he had a weak body, one that was below average even among the below averages.

'Master, don't worry. You will become stronger in the future with my help,' Sol said, it's voice filled with assurance.

'Anyway, Sol, open the gate of the Nexus Tower. Let's have some fun outside,' Astarion said, killing intent shining in his eyes as he took his sword in his hand.

Despite the pain he had just endured, he was almost like he didn't even feel it anymore.

'I have endured this fucking pain, so I have to check out what I have gained from it,' Astarion muttered to himself as he approached the door of the Nexus Tower.

It was an automatic door, and one that required a great amount of strength to break open. But another way as to use the system of the nexus towerand Sol could hack into the Nexus Tower's system and control the door.

'Okay, Master,' Sol replied, his metallic fingers already working on the interface of the door.

It didn't think that there would be any danger for them at this early level of the apocalypse, especially with the experience of an swordman Astarion had just gained.

[The gate is now open]

The door slid open with a soft hum, revealing the outside world. The sky was a dark shade of red and blue by now, the air thick with the stench of death and destruction.

But Astarion's eyes were drawn to the streets below, where chaos and destruction reigned. He could see creatures he had never seen before.

As soon as the gate swung open, zombies began to flood into the Nexus Tower with a fervor, nearly 10-15 of them.

These weren't the sluggish undead depicted in films; they dashed with a velocity mirroring that of living humans, their movements eerily swift and human like.

No sooner had they spotted Astarion than they lunged towards him.

Ghaaaa...

Ghaaaaa...

Ghaaaa...

Three zombies charged at Astarion, growling fiercely, but were swiftly beheaded in just one sword slash from astarion.

"Not bad," Astarion remarked as he nonchalantly stepped over the severed heads of the zombies.

"Oh, look who's turned into a zombie," he taunted another approaching undead, recognizing it as one of the Nexus Tower staff who had been left behind. "Seeking revenge, are you?" he sneered.

"But you won't find it within my lifetime," he declared, cutting down the remaining zombies with ease.

His assassin skills and new swordsmanship skills were evident in his movements - smooth and precise

"There's no fun in killing these zombies," Astarion yawned, expressing his disappointment. "I thought these zombies might pose more of a challenge, but they're all just worthless, and they don't even react when I kill them," he complained.

"Master, how about we head into the city and eliminate some members of the protagonist faction?" Sol suggested.

"Yeah, that's a good idea, Sol. And I have one more thing to take care of too," Astarion agreed. "Let's go," he said as they exited the Nexus Tower.

"What the fuck is happening? Why have these zombie-like creatures appeared?" Harion exclaimed, his voice laced with panic as he grasped the collar of his secretary.

"Get us out of this place right now!" he demanded before shoving his secretary to the ground.

"B-Boss, we can't do anything. The chaos that's unfolding here is happening everywhere. We can't get help from anyone right now," the secretary stammered, only to receive a punch in the face from Harion.

"Useless piece of shit," Harion yelled, his frustration boiling over. "Just what is happening? My day was going so well.

''I secured the chairman's seat from that bastard Astarion, not to mention my inheritance from my father.

''But why did these fucking monsters have to appear?" he pondered silently, his mind racing with thoughts of disbelief and anger.

"Father, please calm down," Lurion interjected, attempting to soothe Harion's rage. "We're in our skyscraper and have enough food to last for many months, along with many guards to protect us. There's no need to panic."

Harion was taken aback by his son Lurion's demeanor. It was well-known that until just a day ago, Lurion had been nothing but a coward, his only notable skill being his proficiency with spears—a weapon considered inferior by the standards of the four great clans.

"Yeah, you're right," Harion conceded, his tone softening slightly.

"Hey, spear spirit, can you really help me survive this apocalypse?" Lurion quietly asked in his mind.

"Of course, kid. I am the spirit of the great Heavenly Spear Sutra, and with my guidance, there's no one who could harm you," a voice replied to him, its tone imbued with an ancient and powerful assurance.

Hearing this, Lurion's face lit up with relief. Ever since he was a child, he had harbored a deep fascination with spears, diligently practicing every day using the sutra his mother had left him.

Unlike his half-brother Astarion, who was often considered the least talented and thus the target of family scorn, Lurion had managed to avoid such derision due to his skill with the spear and some basic business talent.

That was, until Astarion underwent a drastic transformation, defeating Lurion in a duel so brutally that it left him with broken bones and nearly cost him his eyesight.

From that moment, Lurion became the new focus of the family's bullying.

But everything changed when the spirit of the sutra his mother had left him awakened.

It forewarned him of the monstrous invasion that would besiege the world, sensing the formation of vortices across the globe.

The spirit promised to aid Lurion in seeking revenge against Astarion, to rise as the Spear Hero, and to navigate the perilous times of the apocalypse.

Lurion held onto this belief unwaveringly. With the spirit of the Heavenly Spear Sutra by his side, he felt an invincible confidence.

No longer would he be the timid and bullied member of his family, and could get his revenge on that bastard, astarion.

"Astarion, I promise to give you a slow and painful death," Lurion vowed silently to himself.
