7 Apocalypse City Part 2
Trigger Warning: Trauma, Abuse.
In between the buzzing noise and the woman's screams.
At first, I thought something was wrong with the radio. Maybe because I was half asleep but when the realization hit me of what was actually happening, I jumped out of the bed and tried to respond back,
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT, HELLO, CAN YOU HEAR ME? WHAT'S HAPPENING? WHERE ARE YOU?"
before again the radio started making static noises, the voice disappeared. I tried to tune into different channels but to my unavail, there was no response. I threw the radio in frustration, breaking it. Only to immediately open another radio from the aisle again. It was the first human I had heard from since I left the camp.
[Emergency MIssion]
<<Find the Women>>
[Time 30 minutes]
"Do I really have…to..but how?"
[Warning: System has calculated her chance of survival to be 62.0% upon fail, the Woman Would Die]
I scrambled my head, this left me no option.
"AEHEAEAEAEH"
[ALERT]

<<Would you like for it to be shown in the map>>
"YES. Please do"
<<Map>> expanded and a dot with a radius around it covered an area.
<<The [Map] Would be able to locate where the signal came from more accurately upon entering the search area>>
Running was my best option, not only was the time running out, time running out would mean her death, I ran in the direction pointed on the <<Map>> with all I had, running out of breath.
As I ran further, the landscape around me changed drastically, ahead of me were thick woods and the road was surrounded on both sides with trees from which buildings popped out like eyesores. At a distance, I saw a tower painted in red and white which still had its bacon on, so it had power.
"AAAHHHHHHHHH"
"Finally, AHHHHHHHHH"

But I didn't need the help of the system to find where the signal had come from. I knew exactly where it had come from. The designated area on the <<map>> was a mountain. At the entrance of the hiking trail stood a sign "Welcome to the South Mountain". I ran past it.
At the Top stood a tower. My hospital window also looked over it, and at night the place glowed in bright colors. it was the only possible place still a radio signal could be sent off from far away, it had been a radio tower back in the day.
[signal been located, 400 meters behind you]
"Huh, not in the tower"
[Definitely, Not]
I turned around and stood there with the incredible view of the city all around me in the moonlight, as stars brightly glowed in the sky. Due to light pollution, it was impossible to see stars on an ordinary day.
That's when I heard the sound of Gunshots, slowly running down the mountain crossing a traditional village, to find the source of the gunshots, only to find a few men in full tactical gear with rifles in their hands, a few of them pointed in a direction to the others.
I hid in the dark, As I thought they had night visions on, so they would be able to see me.
Does the government still exist? Who are they?
They slowly walked through the forests in a group... I followed them from far behind. Before I heard the gunfire again in the dark. I did not know which direction the sound came from.
But they seemed to know something as they quickly ran somewhere. I followed them only to see a girl on the ground as a guy had a rifle pointed at her, she had her hands on her thigh, as she crawled backward visibly in pain.
Did She get hit? Was she shot?

"Really? What am I going to do right now?"
I ripped my hair in frustration. I took a step backward and there was something cold poking my neck. As I turned and saw, it was the muzzle of a rifle a guy with night vision on had pointed at me.
"Step forward," He commanded.
"Walk,"
I slowly walked, as he followed behind me with his gun on my head. Those guys turned toward me,
"Who are you?"
"Are you with her?"
As they laughed, The guy behind me kicked me to the ground, and a few of them started kicking me.
"Search Him, Take whatever he has," one of them said.
They patted me down searching for things, whatever they were looking for valuables or otherwise, but what has value in this world now? Is it money? Is it food? Was it medicine? What is it? As 2 of them held me off in a lock, they searched me only to find my phone which they kicked and broke, they couldn't find anything else on me since everything was in the "item box".
Only for them to be disappointed with what they found Before they kicked me again leaving me in intense pain.
One of them stood above me, Unbuttoned his pants and let down his zipper, and peed over me. That girl horridly looked at what was happening.
As others turned around toward the girl.
"Lets, finish this quickly," one of them said
I laid there on the ground in pain. I could hear the sound of her crying as she tried to crawl back, dragging her leg on the ground and screaming in pain, and those guys laughing looking at her struggle.
I opened the item box and took out a distress flare gun, still in pain struggling. I aimed it towards them still laying on the ground unable to get up. Those flares glowed brightly red. With a loud bang and "suush" sound, it flew toward them, which made them unable to see anything through the night visions. Before I managed to get up and get a camping ax out of the "item box"
I slowly walked towards them and hacked one of them with it, before taking his gun and shooting him with it. As they removed the night vision goggles, I fired repeatedly at them, till all of them were on the ground.
The girl kept looking at the horrifying scene, with her eyes wide, before I dropped the gun on the ground.

As I dropped to the ground, next to the woman, the woman crawled toward me crying.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"
Checking me, I laid there unable to speak. As snow fell on the ground next to me.
It was snowing.
