Chapter 16: Vampires and Humans
(A few hours after Blanche left with the humans)
Four creatures move slowly in the forest towards the Empress's mansion.
The first
moves irregularly in the air and is very small in size
He looks like a gnome with long limbs who has a goatee-style beard.
It has a single fang, light blue eyes and diamond-shaped black pupils.
The gnome is barefoot and wears a dark navy long-sleeved shirt, dress pants and a pointed hat.

The weakest member of the vampire king's court
He has the ability to fly
The second
it crawls on the floor, it looked like a snake with a humanoid head, but it slowly transformed into a man with grayish-yellow skin, his eyes are elongated light blue with fine black pupils.
He has a mustache and a black beard, the same color as his long hair, he also has two small horns on his forehead and two ears similar to those of a bat.
He wears two black high-cut boots and a brown vest with black stripes, with a light brown collar.

The most powerful member of the court, second only to the vampire king.
He has the ability to shapeshift and take on the abilities of the creatures he transforms into.
Third
a woman who seems to walk very slowly
She is short and stocky with long black hair and a serene expression.
she wears a dark gray dress, a lighter gray poncho, and a gold pendant with an engraved crescent moon.
she looks almost human.....except for the bat ear that grows on her forehead and the many feet that show under her dress
She was the moon sister
The second most powerful vampire within the court
She has such advanced self-healing that it is almost impossible to kill her.
She also has the ability to induce muscle paralysis on enemies that are weaker than her.
And finally, a creature that walked in front of the three members of the court
A large, muscular humanoid, with animal features, including a lion-like face, reptilian hands, and bird feet.
He wears a white suit, a wine-red cape, and a crown resembling the branches of a tree.

The most powerful vampire that exists
His known abilities are:
telekinesis, he is able to control objects with his mind
Telepathy, he is able to read the minds of others and communicate with them
Levitation: the ability to fly
Hydrokinesis: the ability to control water in large quantities
And his most terrifying ability
Teleportation: he can appear wherever he wants, but he needs to know what the place where he is going to appear looks like, with no known distance limit
They all went to the Empress's mansion
The vampire king could feel the empress weaken and almost disappear.
That means The Empress was temporarily incapacitated by some unknown enemy, though they have a pretty likely suspect.
"Hey~ guys, do you think there's any cake in the mansion? My butt is hungry hahahaha" the fool spoke with his cheeks puffed up to look like a butt
"This is not the time for that Fool! We must know if the empress has dishonored our race" the proud hierophant had no patience for the idiot gnome
Sister moon didn't speak all the way
"Enough, I don't want to hear arguments right now" The imposing vampire king looked at both of them
That kept them silent
When they arrived at the mansion, everything was quiet, more than usual, the mansion was dark and there seemed to be no movement inside
The vampire king walked ahead of everyone to the front door, but he stopped when he noticed some residual frost on the door.
He went straight inside and walked to the main dining room where the Empress enjoys spending time.
All he found was a table full of red foods with a cup full of half-drunk blood on the table and several ice spikes growing from the floor.
"It seems that there was a battle... very brief, the enemy that incapacitated the empress must have been superior to her, how dishonorable" the hierophant made a small analysis of the environment with his always arrogant attitude
"Hahaha food! food!" But the fool threw himself on the table and began to wallow in the untouched food.
"Mmmmh" the vampire king looked at the spikes of ice that grew on the ground
"I think there's a name we're all thinking about, isn't there?"
"The only individual capable of facing our species, the only vampire hunter and our greatest enemy"
The king turned to look at his subordinates.
"The hunter"
-meanwhile with Blanche-
"So you're a werewolf?"
"Nope"
"A dog man?"
"Nope"
"Do you have a girlfriend?"
"No...wait, and what does that have to do with my powers?"
Blanche turned to look at the blushing human woman who looked away.
Pov: Blanche
After realizing that humans still don't call this continent OOO
I've been leading the survivors through the woods back
I plan to take them to a meeting place for the leaders of the human tribes that trade with each other, surely they will be well received, since there are very few humans left, perhaps less than a hundred on this continent.
Not that there will be many left after the nuclear bombs, plus the unstoppable hunt for vampires, every day there are fewer humans
Survivor news is always welcome.
And they've been pestering me with questions about my powers, my eyes, or my current relationship status (the youngest women in the group), all the way.
At first they were important questions like, how long were they controlled or if there were more vampires
But after learning that they spent a year controlled and that there were more vampires, they did not want to continue asking depressing questions.
I stopped and turned to look at the group that was following me.
"Okay, for the last time, yes, I'm just a human(?), no werewolf, no dog, no cat and no, I don't have a girlfriend, but I'm not currently interested in a relationship, I'm 14, is that clear?"
I know that the Vampire King can read minds, I have already shown several of my abilities to use ice to vampires, I do not intend to give more information to anyone
I stared at the group, hoping that they would say that they understood everything.
"Oh~...so you don't have powers...you're like Batman! Do you have a tragic origin story?"
fucking idiots
I didn't say anything and just kept walking
(A few hours later)
Finally!
We arrive at the place of commerce where the leaders of the tribes gather to trade
Every human in the place had an animal-shaped hat, it's a costume they use to hide from vampires.
It seems my arrival was tipped off by a spotter positioned to alert others of enemy attacks.
They didn't seem scared by my arrival with a group of unknown humans, in fact they seemed happy to see me.
I can explain why
At first they were afraid of me, it's normal for humans to fear the unknown
I am a strange individual who could kill his top predators with ease, it was a normal reaction to be afraid of me
but over the course of this year my reputation as a protector of humans and hunter of vampires has spread to all sentient creatures on the continent.
I am the only one who rose to protect and guide the humans
Now, everyone considers me a hero, I wonder if legends will form about me haha
The humans behind me seemed confused by the animal-shaped hats.
"If you're wondering why hats are a disguise to trick vampires"
"Even though vampires don't go hunting much now due to their fear of me, it's still best to be cautious."
"Wow~, so we can choose any animal?"
"I ask for a hamster!"
"And me a zebra!"
A smile was shown on my face, I'm glad they take the situation well
We arrived in front of the leaders who were waiting for our arrival.
"It is a pleasure to see you again Mr. Hunter, we are glad that our hero found more survivors, thanks for guiding them here"
"No problem, these people were controlled for 1 year, so maybe they are a little confused, it will be better if they explain the subject of vampires soon"
"Besides, I finished off the vampire that controlled them, she was one of the 4 generals I warned them about, now the others will be alert, but the common vampires will be more afraid to come out"
"Oh, that's wonderful news, we thank you hero"
"Haha...yes, stop being so formal, it's awkward, whatever, I have to go"
I was always bothered by the respect with which they treated me
I was going to leave but one of the leaders walked towards me, he had a long brown hat and square glasses
I recognized him instantly, it was Two Bread Tom, the first founder of the human islands
"Wait please! I need to tell you something... in private, could you come with me to my camp? It's something very important"
It seems that he joined the group of leaders a short time ago since I never saw him here before
Two Bread Tom was nervously waiting for my reply.
"Okay, I wanted to rest in a camp anyway"

Tom and I are heading to his camp on foot, I could go to my lair to find a vehicle, but it's almost as far as Tom's camp, it wouldn't make much sense
Tom told me a little about his life before the war, he was a well respected professor and scientist in a prestigious school
He never had children or a wife for dedicating himself to his career, when the bombs fell he was lucky enough to take refuge in time and when the vampires attacked him he was the one who had the idea of wearing animal-shaped hats to fool them
He is a very relaxed and compassionate man, along with his great intelligence, it is not uncommon for him to become the first founder of the human islands.
He wanted to ask questions about me, I didn't tell him many things, just my age, I've never really tried to hide it in the first place
He seemed concerned that a 13-year-old would spend his time hunting vampires until he was 14.
He is a good guy, but I can't give away information about myself to anyone, the Vampire King could read his mind to get that information out of him
So I just gave him evasive answers and changed the subject.
He seemed to understand the message and didn't ask any more questions.
So we walked until we reached a forest, which we entered, the path had several traps that would make a lot of noise when activated, a security measure against vampires
We finally reached their camp
It was a simple place with makeshift houses, but it had a peaceful atmosphere.
Around a campfire were all the people who belonged to the tribe
there were 10 people
2 girls and the rest are men and women
The girls seemed to be 5 to 6 years old, they had their animal-shaped hats
But one caught my attention, her hat had the shape of a white rabbit, it was very similar to a certain hat of a certain human hero
"As you can see, we are not many, but we are a family"
"Now please join us for dinner and then I'll explain why I need your help"
We all sat around the campfire while a deer cooked on the fire
"Really thanks for coming, I didn't know if you would accept, you don't talk much with people right?"
"I guess not, it seems that the vampire hunt took all my attention hahah"
"Yeah...thanks for that, but I still think you're too young, you should be reading comics or something, I don't know, I haven't been young for a long time haha"
"....yes, I know, but I have the skills to protect those people and I enjoy fighting"
"It's win-win for me, you know?"
"Well, I can't argue with that...hey guys, why don't we welcome our guest with a song while we wait for dinner?"
All the people happily agreed, they seem to like music.
Tom picked up a guitar that was on the floor and started tuning it.
Looking at the guitar, I had an idea
"Hey Tom, I'm kind of a musician too, why don't you let me sing something? To celebrate our reunion."
"Are you sure, you are our guest after all"
"Yes, I'm sure, I haven't sung for anyone in three years and I think now is a good time to try again"
"I see, we would love to hear you sing, here you go"
Tom gave me his guitar
"Thanks, sorry if I sound a little off key, it's been a while"
"Haha no problem"

A series of applause was what I received after finishing my song
"Wow~ that was amazing, you really have talent, you know, if the world hadn't ended you would have been a star haha"
"Yes, I guess so"
after my short musical act, we ate the venison that was already cooked
"Now, will you tell me what you needed my help for?"
"Yes, it's time to tell you"
"Ahead"
"As you know, I am a scientist, I have been measuring the radiation in the air, although it will not kill us, it will still mutate us slowly over time"

It seems that the continent of OOO and the human islands are about to form
Without realizing it, I have already witnessed and experienced an important part of the history that I loved so much, the war, the apocalypse, marcelime, Simon's departure and now damn vampires
It seems like a long time ago, but I'm only 14 years old and OOO is just about to form
a smile appears on my face just thinking of all the things that I am going to witness
I looked at Tom who was patiently waiting for my answer.
"When do you want to start?"
A/N: ok, this episode is to remind you of the vampire court, explain why Blanche will be considered the first human hero, give some background on adventure time lore, and lay the groundwork for the next story arc.
It took me a little longer because I had to rewatch the episodes where the court and the humans appear to get the information and better capture the personalities of each character, it was difficult because they don't have much time on stage
and... you know who is coming back, right?
