13 Chapter 12: Reflection

(1 year later)

she was the current reincarnation of the ice elemental and she along with the other elementals predicted the arrival of the Bomba-Lich and knew that they were going to die

The other elementals did not want to do anything to prevent it, but she wanted to survive, so she locked herself in a sphere of ice and sank into the ocean, where she would remain for many years, until later she was discovered by the Ice King, Finn. and Jake.(sphere mentioned in chapter 8)

Using the oozer finger Simon gave me, I did some quick basic research, coupled with my canon knowledge to inform Simon of what oozers were.

Knowing that those things were human made Simon very depressed for a few days, but now he's over it.

The oozers became countless and no matter how many we killed, more of them always came.

After fighting them a couple of times, we learned their weaknesses and ways of behaving, so they stopped being a big threat to us.

It's only dangerous if they attack us in a pack

Unfortunately the other humans on the planet cannot say the same

I fear that in a few years there will only be a few humans left on this part of the planet.

Let's talk about the present

We have been traveling and I think we have already visited most of the big cities

As I did not want to modify the truck since it would take many parts and materials, we ended up abandoning it on the side of the road after removing the parts that I thought would be useful.

Now we had motorcycles to move around, but we couldn't carry all our stuff, so using the parts I took from the truck I built a little storage that I could carry hooked to the motorcycles.

We didn't have a lot of stuff so it was light enough not to be delayed on the way

Now we are preparing to travel to another city after camping on the outskirts of an abandoned town

Marcy is helping Simon break down and pack everything into the small storage unit hooked to Marcy's mom's motorcycle.

I don't think I mentioned it but, I'll be riding Marcy's mom's motorcycle until Marceline is old enough to ride it herself.

So Marcy will ride with Simon on his motorcycle.

Needless to say, she wasn't happy about it.

While I was taking care of some oozers on the way, Simon and Marcy were blasting the road ahead of me.

Remembering the danger they faced in the episode, I tried to warn Dad and Marcy while running towards them.

It seems that my screaming got his attention, so he walked away from the truck with Marcy in his arms without hesitation, but the trouble had already started.

An oozer came out of the front of the truck and tried to catch them, Simon kicked him back as he backed away from another oozer who was hiding under the truck.

But Simon and I did not stand still, I was preparing the strongest spell I currently have, it will leave me without much energy, but I will surely finish off a large part of them.

As Simon froze entire groups of oozers slowing them down and slowly killing them

I finally finished preparing my spell, it was from the ice element for obvious reasons, it was a combination of my best freezing spell, a spell of air, water and finally fire

With the spell in my hands, instead of pointing it towards the oozers, I pointed it towards the sky, something that confused the onlooker Marceline of the situation.

My spell disappeared into the sky, it seemed to have no effect, but gradually thick clouds formed in the sky, almost covering the entire battlefield and the oozers.

My fire and water spells combined with the wind spell to form a large cluster of clouds that would soon form drops of water that would fall on my enemies, but now comes the best part.

Every drop of water is infused with my strongest ice spell, Medusa's Curse.

That is, if the water touches you, you are dead, petrified in ice and ready to be torn to pieces.

Although it can be resisted by more powerful beings, it's basically the perfect spell to kill a lot of cannon fodder or thoughtless animals and oozers aren't very smart

Until the once chaotic battlefield went totally still and almost silent as a somewhat out of control Simon kept shooting at the oozers that by some miracle didn't touch the water.

This is not the first time he has lost control after prolonged use of the crown power, so I know what to do in this situation.

After that tense situation, we got on our motorcycles that had been ignored by the oozers and continued on our way.

Marcy turned 8

Don't get me wrong, I was happy for her, but I remembered the timeline.

Assuming Simon left because he couldn't control his craziness anymore when Marceline was 10 years old.

That leaves us 2 more years together before Simon decides to leave.

You know... I always thought that I could keep my cool in any situation and that Simon's departure wouldn't affect me at all.

But Simon....was the father I always dreamed of having.

Why? You will ask yourself

Let's just say I didn't have the best dad in my previous life.

Although he was never violent with me and my sisters (that's right I had sisters)

He was never there for me

He was never a father figure or a support for me.

In fact I have almost no memories of him with my mother without them arguing about something

I really wanted to give the 3 of them a lot more scenes together, but the story needs to move on.
