Factions

"Something is very different with the current him." The mysterious person casually said while he lazily floated through the space inside the Black Ring. A transparent screen displaying everything happening in the outside world as he couldn't help but comment after seeing Saber's change in temperament.

'Is this caused because his bloodline is closer to awakening?' He thought when remembering that Saber had grown another tail meaning the process of his bloodline awakening had already passed 20%. As he watched Saber, along with the other nine competitors follow the elder into a door with intricate designs on its edges, he couldn't help but wonder why Saber suddenly seemed to have become a lot calmer in his actions.

He also noticed the fact that Saber's physical appearance also changed slightly as his hair and eyes had turned a shade darker. Such a thing wouldn't be worth accounting in another time, but with Saber's new temperament, he was trying to decipher the puzzle.

"Ah shit, I am too lazy for this." He said while lazily drifting through the space. His eyes that were previously open then closed as the dazzling light which surrounded his face disappeared. With his features now revealed, the only thing one could make out was his long golden-colored hair that reached his feet.

Walking through a door that had intricate designs on its edges, Saber's vision entered a white never-ending space before he then found himself standing on the dirt ground. On his far right was a massive white building as a few hundred meters in front of him was a sublime sight of seven extremely tall mountains that all penetrated the clouds.

They stood surrounding an even more massive mountain that palpated with intense heat. The heat was so high that one could see the space surrounding the mountain sometimes seemingly melting, only to be instantaneously healed.

Saber's calm gaze picked up on this fact as he found himself interested in the cause of such a sight. But, his thoughts were then interrupted by the elder who now had a smirk on his face after seeing the Outer disciples and their gob-smacked expressions.

"Welcome to the Inner Sect, and congratulation for officially becoming a disciple of our sect." He said before continuing.

"The mountains you are seeing there are all different factions inside of our sect. Every one of them focuses on different things that eventually help the overall state of the sect." He said as he then pointed at the closest mountain and said,

"For example, that mountain is home to a High-Level Elder responsible for creating weapons. Most disciples gain their weapons from his mountain peak, but some disciples focus on blacksmithing rather than fully focusing on cultivation. They are the ones that choose that mountain peak." He said, he then continued explaining every one of the peaks.

'So there are blacksmithing masters, alchemists masters, array formation masters who focus more on the well being of the sect disciples. Then there are the assassins who do assassination missions, the treasure hunters who locate treasures, and the war gods who focus on fighting.'

Saber thought after hearing the elder as he then asked in a calm and almost emotionless tone. "What about the seventh mountain, plus, the middle one too?" He asked since the elder hadn't spoken of those two mountains. The elder's expression stiffened as he then said to Saber and the nine other Outer disciples.

"Beside Hale and Saber, each of you are to enter that white building and choose any of the previously mentioned mountains. Be aware, once you choose a mountain, you'll be unable to ever leave, unless ordered to by the elder in charge!" He said a while pointing toward the building on Saber's far right.

Watching them obediently head toward the building, the elder then gazed at Hale and Saber with excitement, before he gestured for them to follow him. He then lift off from the ground and began flying toward the mountain.

Hale then took out his sword from his space ring and stepped on it as he also began flying. But, before Hale and the elder could fly a substantial distance away, they were left flabbergasted by the scene of Saber flying toward the mountain without a sword.

It was one thing flying on top of a sword, but flying without one made it painfully clear that Saber had already fully absorbed the Sage energy contained inside of the Domain Lord pill. It means that Saber himself had already stepped into the Domain Lord rank even when he wasn't fully a High-Level Nascent Soul cultivator just under a month ago.

Hale himself was infinitely close to the Domain Lord rank but he did not expect that Saber passed him not only in sword mastery but now in cultivation too. He could only smile bitterly as he realized that he would never catch up to Saber's speed.

One must know, Saber had joined the Sword Art Sect in but a mere thirteen or fourteen months. Yet, he was already inside the Inner Sect. Thinking this, the elder couldn't help but let out an even more bright smile.

Coming out of his stupor, the elder gestured for them to follow him as they continued flying toward the peaks as they approached the seventh peak. Not long after, Saber, Hale, and the elder appeared in front of a massive door that had a height of 25-meters.

The elder pushed it open, revealing to the duo behind him a massive throne room. The elder walked in as Saber and Hale followed behind. There were oil lamps placed on the golden walls on each side that were already lit.

In front of the trio, and sitting in a lotus position on top of a throne, Saber saw a female cultivator wearing a silver robe and had a graceful bearing. Her appearance was devastatingly beautiful as one could compare her to a fairy.

She had night-black hair and long eyelashes. Her skin was a creamy white and tender-looking causing Saber's belly to churn. He couldn't help but remember how tasty the last female he ate was and he almost dribbled.

But, luckily for him, he was able to control himself as the female then opened her eyes and gazed at the trio. The elder then stepped forward and spoke politely to her.

"These two names are Saber and Hale, both are extremely talented sword cultivators and have the potential to become 'His' disciples. I thought it would be better for them to be placed here since, only the best of the best sword cultivators can enter." He said with sweat forming on his forehead. Shockingly, it seemed that he had a fear of the beauty in front of him.

The fairy-like existence then sent her gaze as a cold feeling washed over the duo. The hairs on their bodies stood on end as they felt an intense feeling of feebleness when her purple pupils gazed into their eyes.

Saber felt this, but soon after, a calm expression resurfaced on his face as his aura also calmed. If one looked closely, one will be able to see the hair that reached down to the middle of his back become an even darker shade.

The fairy was surprised by Saber's expression of calmness and serenity as a calm smile then formed on her face. Her voice then softly resounded throughout the whole mountain.

"All disciples are to come to my location in 30 seconds." Her voice softly resounded in everyone's ears as Saber and Hale were stunned by the fact that her voice was able to travel throughout the whole mountain.
