22 A New World

As he was about to contact the ground, Zeno made his appearance and caught his master.

Kyahhhhhhh!!!

A scream resounded and woke Saber up in a state of shock. He realized that he was currently lying down on top of a tree branch as he lost balance from the scream and fell to the ground. Luckily, he landed elegantly on his feet.

Saber's outfit consists of a black form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and black pants with black kung fu shoes and stockings. He also wears a flowing red vest with a long backside that is secured with a black obi tied over it at his waist and red armbands.

He checked his surroundings and realized that in front of him, a female with short blue hair, light brown skin, and a fair level of beauty who screamed a moment ago was about to be ravaged by a man with long black hair, a chubby body, and a face filled with acne.

"Why...I have this feeling that I am very weak compared to how I used to be?" Saber said while watching his palms. He was completely ignoring the scene in front of him as he felt the strength coursing through his body significantly weaker than when he fought against the humanoid bird.

"No... it isn't weaker, it simply feels as if I am only able to exert a little bit of it!" Saber said while feeling as if his energy and even bodily strength had been compressed to insane levels. He knew that this was the doing of Zeno since he was already in another world, so he paid it no mind since it wouldn't be interesting if he found the reason out now.

Plus, another thing was, that his wild and savage aura was suppressed to unbelievable levels. Right now, it wasn't even possible to sense it if one's level of strength isn't at a certain level. He then breathed out and calmed his nerves before he drifted his attention to the two humans he was in front of.

This was the first time Saber met any humans in a couple of months, so he was quite angered by the fact that these humans had dared to awaken him because of mere sex. The fat man in a golden robe had an annoyed expression on his face, while the woman on the ground had eyes that had somehow regained hope.

Saber had never been in such a situation before, hence the reason why he was confused by the fact that the female seemed to gain a new life. He wanted to know the reason why she seemed to have placed all her hope on him. And so he asked, completely disregarding the golden-robed fat man.

"You...woman, why are you acting as if you have just gained a second life?" Saber asked while tilting his head. In his first world, he had never seen or heard of something like sexual assault. Even if he knew he wouldn't care much since it had nothing to do with him, and he did not find defiling people interesting.

Hearing such a statement, the woman's face immediately dropped as her expression darkened. The chubby man in golden robes instantly gave out an ugly smile that caused even Saber to look away since he hadn't seen even the ugliest human in his first world look so disgusting.

"Hehe, you made the correct choice young man." His weak-sounding voice which had a few cracks in it resounded in Saber's ears. The female's eyes had long lost hope as she closed her eyes while tears began streaming down her face. The man on the other hand began untying his sash that tied his golden robes together.

Seeing such indecency in front of him, Saber couldn't stop himself and pointed his finger toward the neck of the young master. A beam of blue energy exited it and went straight through his neck, causing his body to lifelessly fall to the ground.

This scene stunned the female, as Saber ignored her and walked up to the body of the man. No matter how ugly he was, Saber couldn't help but curiously use his claw-like nails to dig into the man's brain and take out the small sphere the size of an apple seed.

When he awoke, quite a bit of information was transferred into his brain. He was able to understand what was so different between intelligent and unintelligent lifeforms. This sphere was what this world call the upper dantian where the mind domain is located.

He was informed that he needed to become the strongest in this world to advance to the third phase. But, he wasn't told what are the realms of power since he could apparently absorb such knowledge when eating the upper dantian.

Anyway, under the shocked gaze of the female, Saber threw the sphere into his mouth, and immediately thereafter, intense pain struck while loads of memories began entering his mind. Thankfully, shortly after the pain subsided and was replaced by a cool and refreshing feeling.

His mind felt a lot more clear while he sifted through the memories. What information he gained not being useful as he was able to understand not only the workings of this world, but he was also able to understand the realm of powers.

'Spirit Connection, Sprit Foundation, Spirit Pillar, and Golden Core. According to this bastard's memories, we are inside of the continent where the strongest sect rule. The sect exams are about to take place in a city close by which will assess those worthy of entering the true exams.

The weakling decided to have a little fun with this woman who was unlucky enough to also be on the same road riding a horse as his carriage was passing by. He then used his guards to stop her and carry her deeper inside of this forest where unluckily for them, I was sleeping.'

Saber assessed his situation, and for the first time in his life, he felt disgusted toward another lifeform. After absorbing the chubby young master's memories, he was able to understand how a human normally views life, and how his view on beings was seemingly inhumane.

Gazing toward the unlucky female, Saber could now finally grasp a little why she seemed to have gained hope when he had appeared. But, even though he had grasped why she had seemingly regained hope, he did not understand why humans automatically regain it when in situations of inevitable despair.

"According to the memories of this pervert, I have concluded that you humans are incredibly stupid creatures. Not only in the face of despair you lifeforms still try to retain hope of survival, but when completely outmatched in strength, you use a concept called background to act high and mighty."

Saber said while slowly walking up to the frightened woman. He placed his sharp nail on her forehead causing her to let out a shriek while she closed her eyes in fear. Seeing this, Saber was left even more confused as he said.

"You lifeforms sure are weird. Some of you try to use others to break out of your inevitable fall into the pits of despair, while others try to do it all by themselves. It is fascinating and has gained my interest, but, you simply annoy me with your pathetic display of weakness."

Saber said as his claw-like nail dug into the skull of the female. Grabbing her upper dantian and yanking it out, Saber threw it in his mouth before getting up and leaving the two dead bodies for whatever animal to enjoy.
