White Light Intelligence Bureau

When Yuga and Ryuichi returned to the estate, they were greeted by the sight of Bellossom waiting eagerly at the entrance, resembling a young wife anticipating her husband's return.

"Bellossom, Bellossom!"

Upon seeing Yuga, Bellossom immediately waved and, as Yuga approached, it rushed over to greet him warmly.

"Hey, hey! Can't you see me, even though I'm this big?" Ryuichi laughed and teased Bellossom.

Bellossom then shyly greeted Ryuichi, feeling a bit embarrassed.

After some playful banter with Bellossom, Ryuichi turned to Yuga and said, "Young Master Shimizu, why don't you go back to your courtyard? When dinner is ready, I'll have Bellossom bring it to your room."

Yuga nodded and said, "Thank you."

Yuga then returned to his courtyard with Bellossom. After a long day, he was starting to feel tired and wanted to rest as soon as possible.

In the evening, as promised by Ryuichi, Yuga's dinner was delivered to his room by Bellossom, with the usual luxurious dishes.

After dinner, Yuga released his other six Pokémon in the courtyard. They lined up, waiting for Yuga to prepare some Pokéblocks for them.

Through spending time together, Charmander had become more harmonious with Yuga's other Pokémon. Although its timid and teary-eyed nature hadn't changed much, it was comfortable and cheerful around familiar Pokémon and people.

However, when it saw the unfamiliar Bellossom, it remained a bit reserved. Even though they had met yesterday, Charmander was still reluctant to get too close.

Fortunately, Bellossom was gentle and well-behaved. Otherwise, Charmander would have hidden away.

The team's eldest sister, Florges, helped Yuga set out the prepared Pokéblocks in front of Charmander, which eagerly devoured them.

After finishing the Pokéblocks, Yuga didn't return his Pokémon to their Poké Balls. None of his Pokémon were large enough to take up much space except for the Great Flygon, even Dragonair it's not large enough, because it could coil up quite small if needed.

Yuga's Pokémon rarely stayed in their Poké Balls when they were at home. Unlike other trainers who needed to travel extensively, Yuga stayed in his home in Verdanturf Town, and his Pokémon lived in the Ecopark. In terms of living conditions, few trainers could compare.

The next morning, after breakfast, Yuga hurriedly sought out Ryuichi, hoping he could explain how to find Motohara.

However, when he arrived at Ryuichi's courtyard, he was informed that Ryuichi had left the Mauville City due to urgent matters the previous night.

Before leaving, Ryuichi had left a message for Yuga. He instructed his Roserade to deliver a note containing an address and a name to Yuga.

"White Light Intelligence Bureau!"

The note had the name written on it, and the address appeared to be for the "White Light Intelligence Bureau."

Was it a place that dealt in intelligence?

Yuga couldn't help but wonder about the founder's choice of name for this secretive place. Instead of something like "Dark Night," "Shadowy," or "Obsidian," why name it "White Light"?

Regardless, Yuga decided to go and investigate. He folded the note and put it away. As he exited the estate, he followed the address on the note.

Following the address on the note, Yuga arrived at the front of a bar. The location was easy to find, just like Luminescent Jewelry Shop, as it was situated in a busy part of the city.

Initially, Yuga thought that the bar was the location of the White Light Intelligence Bureau. After all, it made sense to have a front like a bar for a place that gathered and sold information, as it provided a legitimate cover.

However, as Yuga was about to step into the bar, he suddenly noticed a small, inconspicuous building next door with a sign that read "White Light."

Could this be the real White Light Intelligence Bureau? It seemed rather unassuming compared to other secretive places that would typically opt for names like "Black Night," "Shadow Syndicate," or "Eclipse."

Standing in front of the dilapidated building, Yuga furrowed his brows, wondering, "Could this shabby place really be related to an 'Intelligence Bureau'?"

You know what, judging a book by its cover isn't a good practice. I should take a look first.

So Yuga approached and gently knocked on the door.

With a creaking sound, the worn door in front of him swung open automatically.

Yuga hesitated for a moment but eventually stepped inside. However, as he entered, the door promptly closed with a snap.

The room was dimly lit, but one shaky electric lamp hanging from the ceiling provided just enough light to see. The interior was sparsely furnished, with empty shelves on both sides.

In the center stood a long table, and behind it sat a person wearing a white mask, draped in a black cloak. Yuga couldn't discern whether it was a man or a woman.

The atmosphere in the room was quite pretentious, and Yuga couldn't help but think it felt like a haunted house. The place seemed completely at odds with its name, "White Light."

"Please, have a seat," the masked figure suddenly spoke.

So, Yuga sat down in one of the chairs in front of the table.

"Keke, keke, keke..."

Just as Yuga took his seat, a shadow suddenly emerged from behind the masked person. Yuga looked closely and realized it was a Gengar.

This Gengar seemed quite powerful, that was Yuga's first impression.

However, he didn't activate his Insight ability to see it because he wasn't here for a fight. Examining the Gengar would serve no purpose.

"Sorry, Gengar can be mischievous," the masked figure said, noticing Yuga's momentary surprise. The apology somehow undermined the mysterious aura created by the mask and cloak.

Yuga shook his head, indicating that he wasn't bothered by it.

"Looking for information?" the masked figure asked.

Yuga nodded. After all, who would come to such a suspicious place if not for information?

"What kind of information?" the masked figure inquired.

Yuga took out Motohara's photo and placed it in front of the masked figure.

"I want to know everything about this person."

Examining the photo under the dim light, the masked figure then said, "No problem. Leave the photo, and come back in two days. We'll discuss the price then."

Quite confident, being able to promise completion with just a glance at the photo, and offering a two-day turnaround. This place was certainly not ordinary, Yuga thought.

Yuga nodded in agreement.

Seeing Yuga's consent, the masked figure put away Motohara's photo and retrieved an iron token, placing it on the table. "Use this iron token for the transaction in two days."

Yuga picked up the iron token from the table. It had patterns resembling the mask worn by the person and the number "38" in the center, with a simple design.

However, this custom-made token likely had special anti-counterfeit features.

Putting the token away, Yuga stood up and said, "I'll be back in two days."

The masked figure nodded and then watched Yuga exit through the door.

Once outside the door, Yuga turned to look at the shabby little building, thinking, "Aren't they afraid that customers who have gone through so much trouble to inquire about information might not return?"

After a moment of contemplation, Yuga shook his head. It wasn't his business. As long as they could provide the information he sought, everything would be okay.

With that in mind, Yuga left the peculiar White Light Intelligence Bureau.
