Traveling Companions

As Suicune departed, the pouring rain abruptly ceased, and the dark clouds in the sky gradually dispersed.

Looking at the empty and damp beach, Yuga didn't know what to say for a moment.

"Chimecho, Chimecho!"

Chimecho flew over to Yuga, anxiously checking on his injuries.

Yuga gently shook his head and said to Chimecho, "Don't worry; I'm fine. Go check on the condition of Roserade and the others."

Upon hearing Yuga's words, Chimecho reluctantly used a Heal Pulse on each of the fairy Pokémon lying on the ground.

Seeing that the Pokémon were not seriously hurt, Yuga returned them to their Poké Balls.

Gon's body was not as resilient as Yuga's, and after the intense impact, he had fallen unconscious. Yuga quickly carried him to the Pokémon Center.

After receiving treatment from Nurse Joy, it was confirmed that Gon was fine, and Yuga finally felt relieved.

Leaving Gon's hospital room, Yuga entered the Pokémon Center's lobby and suddenly spotted a familiar face looking around.

"Eusine?"

Yuga exclaimed in surprise.

Hearing his name called, Eusine turned around abruptly and saw Yuga, who was looking at him with astonishment.

"Yuga! What are you doing here?"

Yuga smiled and replied, "Shouldn't I be asking you that? How did you suddenly end up in the Kanto region?"

Eusine looked around, made sure nobody was watching, and then whispered in Yuga's ear, "I followed Suicune."

"Suicune!" Yuga was astonished.

"Yeah, that's right. Taming Suicune has been my lifelong dream. I came to the Kanto region chasing its traces. However, I lost its trail when I arrived here."

After hearing Eusine's words, Yuga looked at him as if he were a bit of a dreamer.

Had this guy been sleeping too much during the day, even daydreaming?

Suicune was an emissary of Ho-Oh, responsible for overseeing humans. Could it be captured so easily? It was quite a journey for him to chase Suicune all the way to the Kanto region.

"By the way, why are you here in Kanto?" Eusine asked.

"The Bell Tower asked me to handle some business in the Kanto region."

Yuga replied with a half-truth.

Eusine chuckled, "Bell Tower asked you to handle business in the Kanto region? That's strange. What kind of business can't they handle themselves and requires your assistance?"

Yuga just smiled and didn't say anything.

After about half an hour, Gon woke up. Nurse Joy assured Yuga that Gon was fine, and Yuga then left the hospital room with him.

Seeing Yuga carrying Gon out of the room, Eusine exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, it hasn't been long since we met, and your son has grown so much."

Yuga retorted somewhat irritably, "Can I have a son all by myself?"

Eusine laughed and introduced himself, saying, "Haha, I'm Eusine. What's your little brother's name?"

"I'm Gon. Nice to meet you, big brother!"

Gon greeted Eusine politely.

"Ah, your name is Gon. You're a great kid!"

Eusine ruffled Gon's hair and smiled.

"What are your plans now? Are you staying in Cerulean City or going somewhere else?"

Yuga thought for a moment and said, "I plan to take Gon and leave Cerulean City for Saffron City."

The appearance of Suicune made Yuga realize that the trial of the Rainbow Hero had begun. He needed to take Gon to the Mount Tensei as soon as possible.

"Oh, what a coincidence! I'm heading to Saffron City too. Let's go together!"

Eusine exclaimed with delight.

Saffron City was the largest and most prosperous city in the Kanto region, renowned throughout the Pokémon world. Visiting Kanto without a trip to Saffron City would be a missed opportunity.

Originally, Yuga had considered declining Eusine's offer to travel together, given that he and Gon had important matters to attend to. However, he couldn't find a reasonable excuse to refuse, so he reluctantly agreed.

And so, the three of them embarked on their journey to Saffron City.

On the way, Eusine noticed Gon's Kadabra and exclaimed in surprise, "So Gon's starter Pokémon is Kadabra! Speaking of which, my starter Pokémon was an Abra!"

When it came to his starter Pokémon, Eusine wore a nostalgic expression and a sense of pride that couldn't be put into words.

He then took out his Poké Ball and released an Alakazam.

Indeed, it was a formidable Alakazam, but Yuga couldn't help but think that taming Suicune with it would be quite challenging.

"You intend to capture Suicune with this Alakazam?" Yuga asked, somewhat exasperated.

Eusine, looking bewildered, asked, "Is there a problem with that?"

Yuga, feeling that his intelligence had been insulted, couldn't help but rub his forehead and said, "No, no problem at all! If it makes you happy, that's what matters!"

However, looking at Alakazam, Yuga suddenly had a new idea.

"Hey, Eusine, considering how powerful your Alakazam is, could you have it teach Gon's Kadabra a few moves?"

Yuga asked with a "genuine" tone.

As fellow members of the same evolutionary line, perhaps Kadabra could successfully learn moves like Shadow Ball from Alakazam. If it could also learn the Fighting-type move Focus Blast, that would be a significant gain.

Upon hearing Yuga praise his Alakazam, Eusine was delighted. He smiled and said, "Of course, leave it to me and Alakazam."

"Thank you so much! You're truly a kind-hearted person."

Although he said this out loud, Yuga couldn't help but feel that this guy was too gullible. He didn't seem afraid of being taken advantage of by others.

Even Gon, who hadn't spoken, felt that Eusine had been easily tricked. However, he was still happy that his Kadabra could learn new skills from an experienced trainer.

And so, on their way to Saffron City, Eusine's Alakazam had a learning session with Gon's Kadabra.

It could be said that being part of the same evolutionary line was advantageous. With the selfless guidance of Alakazam and Kadabra's existing foundation, Kadabra successfully learned Shadow Ball in just half a day.

Seeing Kadabra quickly master Shadow Ball, Eusine sighed, "Gon's Kadabra has remarkable potential."

But he quickly changed his tone and continued, "But it's undoubtedly due to the excellent teaching from my Alakazam."

Hearing this statement, Yuga almost stumbled and fell. This guy was incredibly confident in his Alakazam, almost to the point of being delusional. Had he never experienced life's challenges? He was like a wide-eyed innocent!
