A Transformative Evolution

After leaving the Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark, Yuga headed to the Shallow Seashore. In addition to settling the Combees, the Magikarp and over a dozen Feebas also needed accommodation.

Before going to the Shallow Seashore, Yuga informed Florges and his companions about the Flower Sea and encouraged them to visit. He believed that Florges and her Vivillon would appreciate the place.

Upon reaching the central lake on the island in the Shallow Seashore, Yuga discovered that Greninja was not around; he wondered where it had gone.

However, Tsareena, Bellossoms, and Cacturnes seemed to get along well. Although it was unclear if they truly liked each other, they coexisted harmoniously.

The personalities of the Tsareena had changed significantly since their arrival in the Ecopark. They now exhibited a strong presence in their every action, displaying her Queenly Majesty Ability.

In a way, Greninja had done something beneficial, even though it hadn't earned the Tsareena' gratitude; instead, it had received their competitive spirit.

Furthermore, the Tsareena had strong reservations about the Clawitzer family.

Yuga arrived at the lakeside and released the blue potential Feebas into the water.

Today, Yuga intended to see if this Feebas could evolve into a Milotic using the Prism Scale (In the game, this would require trade evolution, but this step has been omitted here).

In terms of breeding, this Feebas was exceptionally well-cultivated and held a high level. However, it had not evolved.

Despite spending time together, the Feebas had not fully accepted Yuga, but they no longer rejected him either. Given their experience of being raised by humans from a young age, they did not inherently dislike humans.

Yuga said to the Feebas in the water, "Feebas, today we'll try to help you evolve."

The Feebas did not react much to Yuga's words, only staring at him with blank eyes while silently blowing bubbles.

Knowing that the Feebas had likely lost hope after numerous failed evolution attempts under the care of the Magikarp family, Yuga wasn't bothered by their lack of response. He understood the Feebas's mindset; too many failures had gradually worn it down.

Hoping for a successful evolution that would give Feebas newfound hope and help Yuga complete his task, he silently prayed. From the system's backpack, Yuga retrieved the radiant blue and multicolored Prism Scale.

The moment Yuga presented the Prism Scale, the Feebas's gaze was captivated. Something in its bloodline was telling it how much it desired that beautiful scale.

The origin and purpose of Prism Scales in the Pokémon world remained a mystery. Most people regarded them as mere ornaments.

However, Prism Scales were scarce, rarely encountered in the wild. This scarcity led to a lack of research about them.

Yuga carefully handed the Prism Scale to the Feebas. The Feebas couldn't wait and leaped out of the water, grabbing the Prism Scale in its mouth before returning to the water.

As Yuga watched the Feebas remain motionless in the water, he wondered, Could I have been mistaken? Is there something wrong with the Feebas, or perhaps the evolution method is incorrect?

Unbeknownst to Yuga, the Feebas's blood was boiling, but its natural expressionless face and vacant gaze masked its internal excitement.

Just as Yuga began to doubt the chances of success, the Prism Scale held in the Feebas's mouth suddenly emitted a bright white light. Slowly, it floated up and adhered to the Feebas's neck.

The radiant Prism Scale on the Feebas's neck grew brighter and brighter until it enveloped the entire body. The Feebas's form started to elongate, gradually becoming more slender.

"Milotic!"

"Milotic!"

As a soft chime rang out, the radiant white light enveloping the Feebas dissipated, revealing a graceful serpentine creature. Its body was predominantly a pale milky white color with pink fins and a rainbow-like fan-shaped tail.

Milotic! Success!

At the moment Milotic appeared, Yuga received a notification from the system.

Yuga reached out to touch Milotic's cool skin. He found that apart from being slightly damp, its texture was remarkably similar to human skin, albeit more delicate and soft, accompanied by an indescribable sensation.

Furthermore, when he rested his forehead against Milotic, Yuga felt an overwhelming sense of calmness, as if a mystical power was soothing his soul.

Indeed, Milotic possessed the power to calm conflicts, appease anger and hatred.

Yuga thought that this Feebas might actually be a descendant of a Dragon-type Pokémon, considering it had inherited Dragon Pulse, a move not commonly passed down among Water-type Pokémon.

The most likely candidates were Kingdra's family or the Goodra family, as they were the Water-type families that could inherit Dragon Pulse. Other Dragon-type Pokémon were difficult to imagine as ancestors, making the breeding process rather puzzling.

Having successfully evolved into Milotic and received two Pokéblock formulas, Yuga was in high Pokémon. He released the remaining ten Feebas and Magikarp.

Yuga addressed the ten stunned Feebas, saying, "Take a look at who's here."

Upon seeing Milotic, the Feebas widened their eyes. Although they still appeared rather blank, their expressions couldn't hide their astonishment.

"I want to assure you that, just like it, you will evolve into beautiful Milotics in the future," Yuga confidently declared.

Hearing Yuga's words, the Feebas joyfully swam around in the water.

Yuga turned to Milotic and said, "From now on, you'll be their leader. Take good care of them, okay?"

Milotic nodded, then led the ten Feebas into the depths of the lake, disappearing from sight.
