Boredom - Soliloquy of Ameli - Part 0

Boredom.

The sun glared upon my face, gently waking me up. I stared up at the ceiling, hair covering my face. My eyes slowly came into focus as I pulled myself up from my bed.

Nothing's new.

My life was boring.

I worked all these years, books covered the shelves of my room, cosmetics laid all across my bedside table, a big, imposing mirror directly in front of my bed.

What was the point?

I felt as if I had reached the finish line, with nowhere else to go. Another tedious day of school…

I walked towards the front gates. There was an oversized sign it stated, "Enhanced Nurturing College Entrance Exam Today!"

Oh yeah, that was something that was happening today.

"Ameli, are you ready for the test? Not that you'd need to revise or anything…"

It was Rudo, she's the only one who has been by my side since childhood.

"Yeah, I guess I'm about as ready as I'll ever be."

"Haa, you never seem to have any worries."
