1 Chapter 1

3rd POV

"Damnit Taiyo .." A tall figure groaned to himself, running through what appeared to be a cave. 'I got careless.' He thought, cutting through hordes of little green humanoids left and right with a pair of cleaver like blades, each have a notch in the sharp ends of their blades and are held together at the hilt by a metal chain. He swung them around like nunchaku, but still moved at a blinding speed, slicing the "Goblins" to bits before they could even realize what had happened. Let alone react to it.

'Please Bell. Hold on for a bit longer.' The young man thought to himself, hoping to reach his brother in time.

--10 minutes earlier--

"There's a lotta you huh?" A young, cocky voice said loudly. He was a giant for his age (19), standing at 6'4. His long, white hair was barely above his broad shoulders. His muscular body was slightly tanned, veins visible all along his arms. His face was what women would describe as "handsome", and most men would describe as "Dangerous", somewhat due to his sharp features. However, what stood out the most were his eyes. They looked to be a mixture of red and purple, even seeming to shine from certain angles.

He wore a sleeveless black vest along with baggy black pants, a white (Now red) cloth tied around his calves. The cloth was also tied around a bit of both his biceps, along with a pair of dark blue fingerless gloves.

He was current surrounded by the monsters that roamed the area, Orcs. 23 if his quick counting was right. Orcs were a huge pig headed monster that can reach three meters in height. It wears old hide at the waist like a skirt.

With a deep sigh and a roll of his neck, he held up his blades on his shoulders. "You guys should be worth a nice amount of Valis.." A smile stretched across his face. "My brother's probably waiting for me to finish up here, so let's get this going!" He shouted as he shot forward at blinding speeds, pulling his blades back and swinging them forward, easily decapitating 4 Orcs.

All the Orcs charged at Taiyo, to which his simply smirked. He charged at the Orcs and met them head on. He leaped into the air and held his blades above his head, then slammed them down on either side of one of the Orcs, slicing it's arms clean off. He quickly ended the Orcs howling of pain with a quick decapitation.

He then jumped and used a quick double roundhouse kick to send the severed head towards one orc, and the body toward a group of orcs. Just as the body made contact, Taiyo charged at them. He started to swing his blades, quickly gaining momentum to the point we're the blades were a blur.

Just as the body hit the group of orcs, Taiyo sliced it to ribbons, along with the group of orcs. They had to time to react as the young man rushed through them, cutting them down left and right. He let out a loud laugh. "That's not all is it?" He said in a mocking tone, standing among a group of orcs corpses turning to ash.

Taiyo swung his blades, cleaning them of blood before pulling out a burlap bag. "Might need a bigger bag for all this." He said to himself with a chuckle. Before he could lean down to retrieve his earnings, he popped straight up, completely alert.

His hearing had always been incredible, superhuman even. And he was certain that he heard a scream just then. A young male scream. 'But there's only Goblins back that way..' He thought to himself. Before he could think on it anymore, someone came running through. She was a very beautiful woman with long golden-blonde hair, gold eyes, and a slender body.

She wore armor consisting of a head guard, breastplate, arm guards, hip guards, and knee guards.

She seemed to be distracted, her eyes darting left and right, but not in front of her. She ran head first into Taiyo's muscular frame, sending her back a few steps.

"What's the rush, princess?" Taiyo said in an almost teasing tone with a sly smile. And he somewhat meant it that way, but he wasn't oblivious as to who she was. This woman was none other than Ais Wallenstein. She was the best or second best knight around and she had been given the title of "Sword Princess".

Ais ignored it for the most part as she looked up at the young man. "My apologies. I have very urgent matters to attend to. A Minotaur escaped my party and may have passed through here."

Taiyo's smile fell instantly as his eyes widened in surprise. "So if you'll excuse me I-" Before she could finish Taiyo's figure disappeared in an amazing show of speed, kicking up dust.

Her eyes widened ever so slightly in surprise, she could barely even see him move. It was only one Minotaur, and he did seem fast from the display, and strong from her little crash into him. "Mm.." She made a small hum to herself before running after him. Just to be safe.

--Present--

Taiyo ran as fast as he could, at this point slaying hundreds of monsters that had crossed his path. He ran and ran, ignoring all the Valis he had run over. All that mattered was his brother's safety.

The scream grew closer. Taiyo turned the corner and saw a Minotaur standing over a boy with a small frame, along with white hair and red eyes. The Minotaur raised his hand to strike and the boy shut his eyes, too afraid to dodge, too afraid to move.

Just before the Minotaur brought his hand down, it was sent flying. The Minotaur took a few surprised steps back. Not even a second later, it's other hand flew. "How could the Loki Familia let a small fry like you escape them?" A playful voice asked. Bell's eyes opened widely as he looked up and saw his elder brother, Taiyo, staring down the Minotaur.

"T-Taiyo!" Bell cried in some relief and joy. Taiyo looked around the armless Minotaur and at his younger brother. "Bell. glad to see you're still kicking little brother." He said with a smile. "Sit tight for a bit longer. I'll get us outta here in no time." Bell frowned at this. He'd been saved by his brother more times than he could count. It made his feel.. Like a handicap.

"ROAR!" His brother's shout, as well as the spray of blood that came after, ripped his from his thoughts. He looked up to see the Minotaur spilt in two, and his brother cleaning his blades of blood. 'Strong..' was all that ran through his mind.

As well as the mind of the Sword Princess, who had seen everything. The strength of that overhead swing, she wasn't entirely confident that she could block.

Taiyo sighed before walking over to his brother. "You alright Bell?" He looked down at his brother, covered in Minotaur blood with a neutral expression. "Y-yeah. I'm fine Taiyo." Bell replied with a small smile.

A look of relief washed over the larger male's face as he bent down to his brother. "Good." He said before giving him a slap to the back of the head. "Thought I told you NOT to come this high without me?" He asked, his smile never leaving his face.

Bell rubbed the back of his head, a smile still on his face. "Sorry big brother, I just wanted to earn some Valis too." He said with a small laugh.

Taiyo couldn't be mad at his younger brother. He'd been just like him when he was younger. while Taiyo still was displeased with Bells actions, he couldn't blame him for wanting to help.

Taiyo stood back up, holding both his blades in one hand. "Head back to Goddess Hestia. I'll collect the Valis." Taiyo said as he pulled his brother to his feet.

Not wanting another slap, Bell complied, running out out of the Dungeon. Once he was out of sight, Taiyo's smile left his face. "How long are you gonna stand there for?" He asked, leaning down to collect the valis. Ais's eyes widened a bit in surprise but she still responded. "My apologies." She simply replied.

Taiyo scoffed. "The Sword Princess of the Loki Familia. You said you had a party. I'm guessing they're high enough rank to slay a Minotaur as easily as a Goblin. How'd one get past your party I wonder?" His tone was indifferent. "Carelessness? A genuine mistake? That doesn't matter to me. What does matter, is that my brother could have lost his life today." His tone became cold. "And that would've been on you, Loki Familia." He said as he got up and walked past her. 'Left a helluva lot of Valis back on the 10th floor. Better get back before someone snatches it up.' He thought to himself.

He kept walking, leaving an expressionless, and speechless Sword Princess behind him.
