The Prince is born ~

A young king ruled Luan Guo but died in a disputatious incident. Later on, Luan Guo was claimed by black magicians and reigned for a hundred years. Since then, the Luan Guo was controlled by the black magician until the last descendant died.

When the last full-blooded wizard ceased to live, a brave young man stood up to all the people of the Luan Guo. He halted the conqueror of the other nation, even the dark wizard who tried to bring their state back.

He has short black hair with light skin. His eyes were darker black that indicates the rigorous administration of his nation. He is one of the most influential individuals in the realm of Elysian, like the Calaris Kingdom.1

"...Gugugu-"

This book represents my father well—one of the most influential people in our land. I'm proud of him.

Wait, I don't remember his name. Is it Austria or Astrid? I haven't heard the servants pronounce his name before because it is a royal command that no one can say his name.

Even their mother doesn't utter his name in front of other people. I once heard my father call my mother by her name, Fushia; the same goes for my second name, I assume.

There's a bunch of strange books in front of me. Nanny put them all here because she thinks I enjoy books, yet these books weren't normal.

The book is not any children's book but several quiet items from history and politics.

I lifted my head to see her sweeping the floor. She's so busy that she can barely look after me.

I was wondering what she could be thinking of handing me these books for me to read.

Let me see. I picked a book beside me. I wonder how I could read these scripts. To be honest, I'm being creeped out to myself because of my unusual ability.

Reading something I haven't even attempted studying, I can recognize the letters transcribed in this book, for example.

The Elementalist dark magician and the slave are all from a myth who took care of the slave while on the journey.

They uncovered a lot of secret magics of the realm and even the banned arts. They helped a lot of people in the impoverished kingdom.

However, the slave changed his mind on following the black magician because people claim that the black magicians only bring death upon humans.

He turned his back to his lord and soon became an enemy of the world. The slave goes against his master but in the end, he regrets everything for not trusting the guy who practically reared him.

The slave perished when he absorbed too many harmful dark arts that he acquired from his master. And then again, the master is all alone with his endless voyage throughout the realm of Elysian.

This is a tragic story. Even the master has discovered a lot of mysteries in the Elysian, in the end. It'll be all by himself.

I want to know many things like the master in the novel, yet I don't wish to be alone.

I was raising my head to the ceiling full of eye-soothing drawings. I wonder if his trip has ended this time.

"Oh, is the Princess playing all by herself?"

"Yes, Your Highness."

"Let me see her, I wonder what's kept her busy."

"She's right there. Your Highness."

But this is so dull. I want to do anything like running in the grass, playing- Just like kids!

"Oh my, what are you reading? These books…"

I wasn't aware that my mother was here to visit me. Mother took one of the books on the ground as she opened it to inspect what it is.

"Freesia? Why does the Princess have this literature instead of the picture books?"

"I've seen the Princess doesn't take any interest in children's books lately so I've tried to switch the books into those ones. Pardon my rudeness, Your highness but I think the Princess does enjoy books which are from history and some myths."

"Is that so?"

Mommy took a glimpse at me with a perplexed, worried look. Oh no Mother! Don't look at me like that. I genuinely don't have any notion why the nanny gave me such novels from the start.

"Gugugu…!"

"I see, you do also agree. Huh? Well then, if that's what you want. Then you may read these books to alleviate your time."

Is she serious? She knows I'm this young to read, right?

I suppose they are not paying attention to how bright I am. They don't even realize that I can genuinely read these novels without having a hard time.

"Your Highness, it's odd not to see you with the king. What happened?"

"The Queen has given birth to a Prince today, he must spend time with her."

"I see. The Princess must be lonely not having her father by her side."

The two of them gazed at me with a sympathetic face. I kind of grimaced as I'm comfortable having my father, not at my side.

Why do they think I will be lonely, jeez.

If the Queen gave birth to a Prince, then is he going to be my Younger Brother? Oh, then I won't waste my time here, instead I can go and play with the Prince.

"Scarlet, do you want to go somewhere?"

I gently tilted my head for the offering mother asked.

She led me somewhere where I could clearly view the mountain tops.

"Believe in your heart that you're supposed to live a life filled with love, purpose, magic, and miracles."

Mother suddenly stated those significant sentences as she smiled at me.

"Scarlet, remember that no matter what is going to happen in the future you must always treasure yourself and your loved ones and become the light that will guide you in every adversity that will come your way."

Beyond the smile she curves to her face is one of the saddest moments I have ever seen. As though she was attempting to warn me in the near future.

Is it because a Prince was born in the kingdom? That's why mother is creating this regretful expression right now.

That time, I couldn't think of anything. I can't figure out where her grief is coming from.

"I want you to be equal to our people. I'm sure you are capable of doing that, you are my daughter after all."

Mother, what is it that is making you upset right now?

I wish I could comprehend you.

To be continued.
