84 Greed

Bank in the kingdom of Leon, Alice had finished clearing out the entire enemy base on her own, and had gained an inordinate amount of exp, since most of the people here were higher levelled than herself.

With this exp, she spent quite some time going through the various options and decided to purchase something. Just as she was about to purchase it, her vision was blocked almost completely by a new notification as well as virtual confetti.

==============

Congratulations on reaching level 5!! At this level you get to choose a class. Your current options are listed below. Remember! YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT!! Your future classes will depend on this.

Your options are listed below:

1] Warrior (Major boost in strength and vitality, and related stats with new active and passive skills)

2] Rogue (Major increase in dexterity and sense, with a large variety of active skills and no new passive skills)

3] Priest (Not this. I already have an idiot priest. I do not wish for another one. Hence, this option has been disabled)

4] Soldier 2 (Just an overall increase in all your stats, nothing much)

However, once you choose a class, you will fall into a period of unconsciousness. I would suggest you return to camp and then activate this.

"Oh, then I'll return back first." Alice mumbled to herself as she took all the loot she had collected from the corpses of the enemies, while dragging along the commander of the base, whom she had somehow managed to capture alive, not letting him commit suicide, and then proceeded to beat him to the brink of death.

Time passed slowly, and a month later, she had finally reunited with her group, just about half a day's worth of journey before they reached their side of the border.

"Idiots!"

Currently, Alice was busy beating up two people, who were from her squad. These two people had been ambushed by enemy soldiers, and had lost 3 of their people while escaping. She had been beating them up for the past 3 days, and then proceeded to remove all the rest of her anger on the enemy commander, since she could not injure her own soldiers to the point where it could reduce their battle effectiveness or leave permanent injuries, only slapping them a little here and there would already inflict enough pain for them to reflect on their actions.

Despite knowing that in war deaths were inevitable, the feeling of loss at losing your own soldiers was something that felt incredibly heartrending.

This was why she was removing her anger onto the enemy commander, and those from her battalion of just over 300 people also knew of this, and wisely chose to remain silent.

The group decided to take a good rest for the night before heading out in the morning and reaching their side of the border within a few hours. The reason was simple, along the way, there was a possibility of being ambushed, especially in the night, where visibility was low.

This was something Alice herself had done quite often to pick off her enemies one at a time in the darkness.

Therefore, resting up was a better option.

"Alright, show me your good deeds for this mission. I will make a decision for my Vice-Lieutenant once we return to base."

*Cling**Clang*

Each and every soldier pulled out a sizable bag with enemy togs in them. Although everyone at least had a bag the size of an apple, some people had much larger bags, two of whom had bags as large as her own, which she had collected after using all the powers she could to wipe out an entire camp single-handedly. Clearly, something fishy was going on here, and her eyes narrowed as she stared at the two.

"You two, I will only ask this once. Why do the two of you have so many tags?" She asked calmly, as though nothing was wrong.

One of them, a squad leader of 18 people, had a smirk on his face as he looked directly at Alice and said, "What of it, Lieutenant? These are the tags I earned with my own hard work!"

Alice turned her gaze away from this man to the other squad leader who had such an overly exaggerated collection of tags. This squad leader had a total of 15 people under him, and he was currently sweating bullets. A moment later, he caved in just from looking at Alice and knelt onto the ground.

"I am sorry Lieutenant Bard! These were pooled together by me and the members of my squad, in hopes for me to become the vice-lieutenant. Please forgive me for this transgression."

Alice looked at this man and simply nodded without saying another word. She turned her attention to the arrogant squad-leader, whose smirk had morphed into an expression of disgust as he thought to himself,

'Failing to hold your own against such a useless lieutenant? Useless, but this is better for me. It will increase the chances of me becoming the vice-lieutenant, and within no time, I will replace her and become the lieutenant. Maybe even go higher up! At that point, I will have countless b*tches like her surrounding me in hopes to get on my good side and bed me. Haha!'

As this squad leader was imagining all sorts of fantasies, Alice could only sigh in her heart as she decisively took action.
