44 Chapter 44 - Sorting His Thoughts About Kuroka

It has been nearly a week since Kuroka joined Ray's group. During that time, she had never shied away from expressing her love for Ray. However, she isn't oblivious that her mate and husband had yet to truly accept her.

Sirin, Abby and Ravel were outraged by his indecisiveness especially when he is purposely avoiding taking responsibility.

Kuroka however, were very perspectives and noticed this and actively dissuaded them from openly trying to force Ray to accept her. As a proper wife, she naturally understands her husband's needs and feelings even if she had only shared a brief moment with him.

Forcing him is doing the opposite of helping and both Sakura, Asia and Artoria understand this, thus why they had not said anything and simply give Ray his time.

Kuroka has unwavering trust in Ray that he will soon realize her genuine love and accept her. All she needs to do is give him time to sort his mind and finally, the day arrived for her.

Kuroka initially stayed in her cat form, thinking Ray would like it more. However, that changed when he expressed that he liked her normal form more.

He does not hesitate nor hide his intention that he liked her big breast and constantly rests there like it's his new favorite place to lay down.

Today, it was a normal day. Asia, Sirin and Sakura were away while the rest were doing their own activities. Only Ray and Kuroka stay in the living room watching a tv show about a certain future earth gamer being isekai in his in-game avatar that shouldn't exist in this world.

On a whim, Ray stood up and was bored with the anime playing on the tv.

"Are you going anywhere, Darling?" Kuroka asked naturally like a caring and doting newly wed wife worrying about her beloved husband.

"Mhm. Come with me." Ray intoned with a neutral tone as he has been doing since she met him.

Kuroka did not ask any further and stood up excitedly thinking maybe they are going out on another walk. But instead of a walk, she was soon enveloped by Shadow surging instantly from under his paws.

The next moment, she arrived inside a pitch black space that instantly transformed into a lush and verdant forest. Ray already found a small boulder where he sat and created another one next to him for her. She immediately understood without the need of words and sat on it.

After they both seated, there is a momentary silence in the clearing of the forest where they were. Not even one insect dared to make any noise.

"Do you know the reason for my hesitation?" Ray asked out of the sudden while his gaze wanders at the treelines, looking at nothing in particular.

Kuroka, who was expecting a simple Yes or No, was caught by surprise. Considering his character, he wouldn't bother chatting useless information and get to the point as most unable to comprehend his intents were to begin with. Thus, she shook her head in reply.

Ray sighed heavily before he continues with his explanation.

"Actually you only know my false identity, the mysterious unknown Primordial God. However, what if that's not my real identity?" He explained neither too fast or slowly. "Everyone had actually been keeping a secret about me. I wonder if your thoughts of me will remain the same after learning the truth."

Kuroka is curious since Ray looks like he is about to reveal a deep secret. This made her excited as sharing secrets is one of the ways of saying someone is trusting you.

In another moment, the lush and verdant forest vanished and was replaced by a sea of darkness and stars. But Ray had vanished.

"You know about Outer Gods, do you?" A voice echoes the space as Kuroka looked around for the origin of the voice but saw no one.

Then suddenly, she noticed something. A gigantic figure was looking at her and she was actually standing on its hand.

"I am one and my true self is an Eldritch God. My true form is incomprehensible for your mind but I am no less of an abomination if you could comprehend and gaze upon my form." He said with a long sigh. "If we were to have a child, our child would also look the same. Bound to the same curse as mine to be an Eldritch being. Now, can you still say you liked me?"

"Yes." Kuroka replied immediately.

"Do you really even give it any thoughts?" Ray looked deadpanned at her.

"No." She answered with a playful smile as he facepalmed.

"I am not joking about this, Kuroka." He said with a sterner tone

"Me either." Kuroka answered seriously and glared defiantly at his gigantic face towering above herself.

"You think I wouldn't notice the power used by Little Abby and the black knight? I'm not ignorant. I have seen gods before and know what a god feels like. Your power felt alien from this world, distant and boundless." She answered with her fist held tightly on her chest. "No god could effortlessly command space and time and warp reality as they wished like you."

"So you know this and you still dare stay?" Ray frowned.

Ray could simply read anyone's mind if he wished. But he didn't because he respected their privacy. He didn't know that her mind would act this way instead.

"Yes." She answered firmly.

"Fine. Have it your way then." Ray didn't bother to argue anymore. He sighed before dismissing his true form and returning back into his avatar body.

Nothing good will go for anyone that tries to associate themselves with an Eldritch God. But if that is her wish then he wouldn't bother dissuading her.

Kuroka is smiling wide to finally be accepted. She thinks of this as a test from him instead of a warning. So, she naturally ignored all the warnings he said. Had Ray knew, he might puke blood.

Ray stood in front of her face and stared at her for a moment. Kuroka also stayed silent due to the solemnity of the situation and waited for what he would do next. Ray lifted his paw and placed it on her forehead.

"Since I accepted you as my lover, you cannot stay weak like this." Ray mutters as his power quickly surrounds Kuroka and wraps her into a cocoon made of Shadow.

In his mind, he was thinking about the future. As an Outer God, naturally he is rejected by fate and will constantly be given bad luck. The reason he hadn't had any is because he is strong enough to be above the concept of fate and destiny and be unaffected by their binding or else, everything from a little pebble on the roadside to all the big dick characters will try to kill him.

Naturally, those around him will be affected too. That's why he always gave power to those who joined him so they will be able to resist their bad luck. Except for Asia. For some reason, she isn't affected by those bad lucks.

But since his bond with Kuroka will be much stronger than the others, the aggro she receives will naturally be stronger too.

"0.1%? No, not enough…" Ray mutters as he is concentrating his mind on the cocoon to recreate Kuroka's body and soul to be a stronger vessel to accept his power.

"Half. Half should be perfect. Since she will be my lover anyway." He decided before his imaginary true form appeared behind like a Stand. "But nothing in this reality could possibly hold even a tenth of my 1% strength." He sighed and thought he could only resort to that method.

His true form nick it's finger and squeezed out a drop of substance and dripped on the cocoon. The imaginary droplet shatters the reality just by existing and entering into the 3rd Dimension. The reality is unable to comprehend it and in the naked eyes, it looks like a colorless object that sucked all the color around it like a black hole before it finally made contact with the cocoon and was absorbed by it.

"From my blood, your body and soul will be created and you become my kin. Wouldn't that make you my daughter rather than my lover?" He realized and thought that if Kuroka became his lover, wouldn't that mean they are having an incestuous relationship? Not that the concept of incest or morality really applies to someone like him. But what about Kuroka?

Ray shook his head as he looked at the cocoon unwrapping itself and revealed Kuroka. Still in her original appearance but her face shows a wide shock as she checks herself.

She casually lifts her fist up and throws a light punch. The space immediately trembles like throwing a stone into a calm lake before it shatters like glass.

"Oi! Be careful, this is my personal space." Ray slapped her forehead and pointed at the grand palace below them.

The slap didn't hurt but Kuroka still held her forehead while looking apologetic at Ray.

"Sorry! I was too excited." She apologized with her body shrank away while curiously peeking at his expression to see if he was angry.

Ray just snorted and opened an entrance out from the Shadow space.

"Let's go, we had been away for a while. They might get worried." Ray pointed his paw forward before laying lazily on her chest, swifty dozed off because he felt tired.

Kuroka smiled beautifully and was grateful to what he had done for her to make her this strong. She carefully and gently holds him securely before she walks out through the entrance and returns to the living room.
