20 Chapter 20 - A Chapter Featuring Ravel Phenex

With another addition to our household, the mansion definitely felt more lively than before.

"Lord Ray, here is another one. Say aaa."

"Aaa om-nom nom" I take another bite of the food placed before my mouth by Ravel.

To be honest, Ravel is surprisingly very dedicated with her job for a former noble lady that she is basically by personal caretaker, fulfilling all my needs at this point as she fed me another bite. Not that I am complaining. This is truly a life worth living. Absolute power, riches and pretty girls that will pamper me all day that I felt lazier than the Demon of Sloth at this point.

When I close my eyes and lay flat on my back, on her lap, Ravel stops feeding me and massages my body instead.

*Purr*

Well, as much as I want to be lazy all day long. The author will complain because he has nothing to write about. Not like he can write a +18 smut scene with me still not able to gain a human body.

But that raises the question, if I did gain a human body. Will I even make any move on any of my girls considering my sexuality went bonkers after I was reincarnated? Also, I saw Sakuya preparing octopus one day for dinner and I felt some attraction to it. Still gives me chills to this day by the thought of me being attracted to THAT thing.

Oi author! Fix this shit man. Ain't no way in the seven hells I'm gonna fuck a goddamn octopussy! Well, if she's a hot demi-human octopussy I might consider it. But that's not the point! Gimme back my healthy, 20+ years old, human sexuality!

"Did I do something wrong, Lord Ray?" Ravel paused in a little panic when I huffed and frowned.

"No, it's not your fault. I was thinking about a certain douchebag. Please continue and on my paws please." I calm her down from a panic attack.

"Ah! Of course, Lord Ray. Leave it to me and enjoy." She immediately got back to work.

"Haah… that's good. You are really skilled, Ravel." I sighed pleasurably.

"Uhm, I learned a lot as a daughter of Phenex House. I need to know how to please my future husband. But after becoming your apostle, I will not arrange a marriage anymore and will dedicate my entire self to serve only you milord." She replied with a little blush on her cute little cheeks.

"Hmn. Good. Good. Choosing you is definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made yet." I said and stretched my body wide to feel the dislodged joints popped back to place after a good massage.

"Thank you for your kindness and praise, Lord Ray." Ravel butter me up well without fail.

"Hmn, enough lazing around for me for today. That annoying douchebag keeps complaining in my ears." I scratched my ears with my hind legs before standing up and jumping down her lap. "Let's go on a walk shall we? Since he so kindly prepared me a prey to play with. It's rude to ignore it."

Ravel looked confused to who I am referring to but nodded regardless before standing up and following behind me as we left the mansion and into the secluded section of the town.

"What are we looking for, Lord Ray?" Ravel felt curious as she had been silently following me for close to fifteen minutes as we walked into an abandoned section of the town filled with unsavory people occasionally popping up.

"Pest. Or Stray Devils for you I guess." I replied as we arrived in front of an abandoned office building.

"Stray Devils? Isn't the extermination of Stray Devils the duty of the governor?" Ravel frowned at the lack of proper care and management of this town.

"Well, you are right. But this time, it's not the fault of the two heiresses. Someone placed them here on purpose for me."

"For you?" Ravel sounded confused.

"Yes, for me. He probably wants to force me to train my power since I am slacking around too much." I grumbled before entering the building with Ravel silently trailing behind me.

Inside the building, I can immediately smell a heavy scent of blood wafting through the air along with the smell of rot and a damp decomposing body.

"You can stay outside if you feel uncomfortable, no need to force yourself to follow." I said but she shook her head and vehemently wanted to follow.

"No, I will not be stopped with such minor discomfort." She said with an unconvincing tone as she struggled to keep the bile crawling up her throat, down.

"Suit yourself then. I warn you now that what you are about to see isn't going to be pretty. Are you still going to follow?" I asked after a quick check with future sight.

"Yes." She replied with determination and followed as I moved forward.

I said no more in respect to her determination and immediately moved to a room with a hole dug underground. The smell is even more intense coming from underneath. Suffocating almost as Ravel placed a handkerchief on her hand and used it to cover her nose in an attempt to reduce the intensity of the piercing stench.

When we moved underground, we first met with a small mound of corpses. These corpses are mostly rotting with maggots crawling all around it. But a common trait with all of them is how their abdomen and chest is chewed open with all their internal organs missing. Some were even female and had signs of being violated and died a horrific death.

Oddly enough, I didn't feel disgusted even when I knew the old me wouldn't ever be able to stomach these sights despite claiming to enjoy gory media.

"Cremate those corpses, Ravel. I'm going ahead to take care of the Stray Devil." I ordered and quickly went ahead to get the job done to end Ravel's suffering quickly.

Ravel nods and summons her black flame that burns very hot and swiftly incinerates those corpses into nothingness.

Heading into the chamber ahead. I found more similarly brutalized corpses although fresher compared to the ones before.

"Hmn. That's at least a hundred corpses. Yet there's no news at all about them. No, they aren't even human from this world. These are just his conjurations." I mumbles as I approach the deepest chamber where I could hear the sound of someone chewing and slurping something.

When I did arrive. I found a towering hairy beast holding the arms and legs of a barely alive woman having her stomach chewed open and her guts slurped out like a string of sausages.

"Is this all you can do to rattle me up, author? I didn't even feel anything from this." I said with a bored look.

The mentally challenged ape-like Stray Devil immediately looked enraged at me for interrupting its meal time. Not gonna blame him. Even I would flip if someone interrupted my meal time especially with how much he enjoyed his meal just now.

"A little cat? How dare you intrude my nest! I will kill you!" The ape-like Stray Devil roared again.

"Yeah, yeah. You wanna kill me yada yada, typical third rate villain dialogue. If you are done with your last words then goodbye. You served your role well enough and you can now die." I said while sitting down boredly and casually swiped my claw which caused my shadow to extend out and form a giant claw that cut the Stray Devil cleanly into a few thick slices.

After that, I look at the barely alive women that the Stray Devil previously feasted on.

"Well, although you aren't real real. You are still a real in this world. So, let me ease your suffering." I said and sliced her head off her neck.

When I turned around, Ravel entered the room to report about the completion of her assignment.

"Cremate this one too and our job is done." I said and pointed at the corpse of the woman behind me.

"Yes!" She answered and quickly summoned her black flame again and burned the corpse into nothingness.

After that we left the place. We both take a moment to breathe in the fresh air and are happy to be out of that stench filled cave.

"Hmn. Let's go back home and laze around more."

"Yes, Lord Ray." Ravel replied happily and her ahoge wagging excitedly at the notion of being able to hold me and pamper me more.

Definitely a very good pet. Err, I mean servant. Yes, servants. A very good and dedicated servant of mine.
