74 Time hero, Chronoa (part 2)
So I haven't done any writing for this week nor thought about this story at all so it might take me a bit to get back in the grove. If the chap is a bit weird/off that's why it will probably take me a few chapas to get back to the usual quality. Also, bit shorter chap while I get back to the writing mindset.

The frozen hero opened her eyes for a moment. I prepared the mask in my hand and was about to launch to place it on to help control the rampage that was about to happen but in the end it wasn't needed. The watch that she was holding began to spin and it stopped abruptly before her eyes gained some clarity.
She looked around the room for a moment and her eyes landed on the silver-haired demon lord who had stepped right in front of the now opened glass coffin, ignoring my request to keep Hinata safe as she felt no danger.
"Luminous!" She shouted with a bright smile as she launched to give a hug. Her hero's clothing appeared on her body as she did so.
Luminous also responded by jumping into the hug and burying her face in Chloe's chest.
"It has been so long…"
Chloe answered by softly patting her head and giving a small chuckle.
"I'm sorry for leaving," she said with a soft tone.
"It's not like you had a choice," Luminous said with her face still buried.
Chloe let out another melodious laughter as she said.
"It is good to see you haven't changed much even with all the time that has passed."
Once they broke up the hug she looked up and saw me and her face lit up once again.
"Rimuru!"
She jumped into another hug as I put away the mask and returned the hug.
She stepped back for a moment as she placed a hand on her head.
"I am in a bit of a memory overload at the moment. So I have a bit of a headache right now."
She slapped her cheeks and returned to her cheerful appearance after a moment..
"From what I can remember it seems like I was able to make some changes to what happened… Wait, why is Guy hanging out in Tempest? Don't you guys hate each other? No that's not right…"
She began to mutter to herself about various different things that happened on previous timelines and she began to formulate plans on her head with the new memories that she had from this timeline when I placed my hand on her head.
"Don't worry, I will make sure that everything goes right-" I tried to comfort her when she interrupted me.
"But it won't. I have heard you say that in the past and it always ended up going badly… I can't let that happen again. I am so close to making things right." Her voice wavered a little as she spoke those last words, the cheerful expression she was trying to put on vanishing for a second.
It hurt me to see her with that expression. Maybe I had been lazing a little too much. I knew of the threat that Rudra presented to the world yet I kept pushing the fight further back. I had also pushed back the issue of dealing with Guy until the moment he showed up at my doorstep. There were reasons why I didn't want to deal with them at the moment. But in the end, I might just be making the future worse by holding back.
With a new determination in my heart, I looked her in the eyes.
"I'll make things right this time, I promise." I took a look at the nervous Luminous standing awkwardly behind us before I told her. "You can join us in the preparations tomorrow, for now, how about we just enjoy what Luminous has organized today. She put a lot of work for you."
She stared at me for a moment before giving me a small nod.
"Please don't break your promise again."
Luminous ended up putting a hand on her back and they ended up going back with Hinata to begin the celebration.
"Again…. Ciel, I need your help."
[Already on it.]

The rest of the celebration went along smoothly. Luminous had put a lot of effort into this, and it showed. Chloe seemed to be happy as she spoke to everyone at the celebration. But I could tell that Chloe seemed a bit distant and stressed. And given by the looks I was exchanging with Luminous, she had noticed as well.
"Do you think that she doesn't like what I did? Maybe I went a bit overboard…"
"No, I think I am the one at fault."
"Chloe doesn't blame you for what happened, or well, didn't. I will be honest time travel confuses me a lot." Luminous said with a confused expression.
"Time shenanigans," I said with a knowing expression.
She smiled.
"So that's where she got that expression from. You won't believe how many times I have heard that."
I heard a few messages appearing in my head, from various different people. So I excused myself to a more secluded location as I began to respond to them.
<<My lord, I am proud to announce that Tempest now has full control of the western nations.>>
<<That's good Diablo, I am glad you and the others have done such an excellent job. However, there is something very important we need to put our focus on….>>
<<Kufufufu, is it that thing that you have been planning for? Do not worry my lord, preparations for that are well on their way. It is the greatest honor I could ever receive to have been asked to assist on such a special day.>>
I took out an ornate box that held rings inside of it and looked at them for a moment before sighing.
<<We need to delay that.>>
<<Why is that my lord? I know you were looking forward to it. If there is anything that inconveniences you all you have to do is ask and I will take care of it personally.>>
<<Thank you Diablo. But this is something I need to do myself>>
